That drummer singing while playing is fucking phenomenal.
Not only that but also writing this song & composing it including the opening bass riff, and conducting the technological aspect of the entire live show through her computer on the side that you see in the drum cam & her MIDI pedals on the floor (that we don't see).
Paulina Villarreal aka Pau is a multi=talented multi-tasking musical genius.
Her profound poetry is worth so many laurels on it own.
This song is about the hold that social media has on today's society as we, the disciples, stare at our screens.
Its starts with "The Sun is your enemy today" & ends in "You shall remain inside your space of ignorance".
The Warning stands out from the rest through their deep songwriting & messages within.
she is the lead singer in almost 5 songs. you better check all their songs.

This concert should be released as live album.
Totally 👍agree!!
Oh hell yeah

How can Paulina sing while she's playing the drums at that level, that's beyond my understanding 🤯
Yet, that's only one of her many skills. 🥰
É o que eu sempre digo. Ela me faz lembrar o baterista da banda EAGLE no lendário HOTEL CALIFORNIA
@Jamie Paulina not only plays and sings she controls the whole show through Ableton Live 10. Basically everything is programed to a Midi click track, the computer sends a Midi note to the back screen. She used to use a trigger pad but she now uses a trigger petal it's easier. That's it in the most basic explanation.
It's normal for her
Starts the build up at 1:46 and finishes it off with an explosive fill at 1:56 while singing lead vocals. I would have got stuck at "Ge" of "Gestapo in the making" that she sings through the climax of that fill of 150 bpm minimum.
What a talent!!!
What a multi-tasking brain!!!
I haven't seen anyone like this.
I don't claim to have watched every singer drummer though.

Ale is an incredibly sick bassist. way beyond sick.......
She's soooooo good
Many don’t get that. Every note she plays counts.
1:55 That fill!🤩
Build-up starts at 1:46 actually.
Lot of discussion as to how she does it. All this while singing lead & not just backup oohs & aahs.
Unbelievable talent.
@@MrSudeepdas It seems virtually impossible to do both at the level she does it. To top it off, she also WROTE it. I guess its good that she is not an MMA fighter, her opponents would get a serious pummeling.
@@MrSudeepdas alot of practice and vocal/breath conditioning. Years ago it was said that she would run on a treadmill while singing to get better at keeping a steady breath rate while working hard. With the exercise regime they have now, they are not likely to become the drug and alcohol fueled rocker of the past.
Paulina is the BEST drummer in the universe💜
Absolutamente !!!!
Yeahhh
Totally agree!!! By far the best singing drummer!!!!
If she's not...she soon will be. Absolute maniac on the drums. Respect. 😮❤❤❤
Pau's little hopping up and down at 3:51 kills me everytime!! 🤣

Absolutely. How can you not love just how into playing their music they are. It's just pure joy.

And she’s not wearing shoes almost the entire show. Lol
That shit at 1:56 is unfuckingbelievable. Wow
Not out of breath perfect tone and that hard but sweet drum fill was just poetry in motion, one of the best moments of thousands to come!

Concert planners hopefully realize now that these girls should get a main stage
Poco a poco, ahora en Mexico ya empiezan a ser headliners en los festivales secundarios pero headliners ya NO salen hasta abajo como bandas complemetaria.Y el publico empieza a ser cada vez mas grande.
They got that in Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, Florida a few days back. Last year they were given the side stage along with a hired drum kit & host of technical problems regarding their audio. This year though The Warning were fully prepared.
So at 4 o'clock last Friday afternoon the girls rocked to about 10000+ from the main stage.
Organizers should start planning to slot them in the evening from now on. Hopefully headlining in another 2 years.
You may check videos from that show on RUclips.

1:56 That fast drum fill, while she is singing... wtf is going on?!😱
Awesome live perfromance! You can see in their faces how much they enjoy their time on stage, I love that ! 😀😀
seriously, I have seen people explain to me what exactly she does in the fill and I can't wrap my head around the speed and accuracy of it. That PLUS singing seems utterly insane to me. Then again, seems to be one of Pau's favourite fills (she uses it or variations quite often and for years). Never gets old though.
They need a 240 fps PauCam so we can see exactly what she's doing.

@@michaelpohlgeers3214 Yes there has been a lot of discussions regarding that extended build-up culminating into that insane fill. It starts from 1:46 actually.
The build-up starts from 1:46 actually. There has been a lot of discussion about how Pau executes this long drum pattern - starting with an extended build-up & culminating into that ridiculous fill at 1:56. All this while singing lead.
She is my musical genius. In this thread I have commented about her poetry, multi-tasking, songwriting (including the intro bass riff), energetic stage performance, etc.

That's Pau (Pow, Paulina). Guitar is Dany (Daniela) and on bass is their younger sister Ale (Al-leh, Alejandra). 👍🤘
Her name is pau.the fandom call her" shredder"
@@judymutoza-xj8xp Shredder? Isn't that a name more reserved for guitar players?
@@edub3030
Hahaha...yes, well usually, but could be any player.
But here it's a different thing, "shredder" is meant in a very litteral sense as she has broken many many sticks during concerts and even cymbals and drumskins!!!
And every single time she manages to not miss a beat: we've seen her playing with only one hand, then switching to the other hand while she reaches for another stick; or even playing with one bare hand for a moment; etc...all sorts of things. Once she broke part of the bass drum skin and she had to play (almost) the whole setlist with the left foot only.
Fortunately she tends to break much less things lately...lol.
She is actually one of Kirk Hammetts (Metallica lead guitarist) favorite drummers.
Me llegó la notificación de esto y el mini infarto no fue normal 😱😱 por favor suban todo el Metropolitan 🥲🥲🥲 es brutal verlas así 🤘🏻

Saw them early on this tour. Seattle. 200 people. Killer. Likely not gonna happen again as they will be playing way bigger venues next time in the PNW. I'm happy for them yet sad too. They are a "stadium ready" act, but standing 3 feet away from Dany and Ale in a tiny, sweaty club is really what rock is all about.

3:20 so fucking electrifying
Waiting for "Choke"...
"Siiiiiii...vamos" goes Dany at 3:15.
"Yessssss...let's go" - that's the limit of my Spanish 😂😂😂
Actually I'm not quite sure she said that, but it's not quite clear, for the way she said it, It sounds like she said siiiii...ganos, something like "keep up"
as for the rest, she said, "México city let me hear you, The ones from the back I want to hear you sing, now the ones above"
Let me hear you, all the way in the back, now the ones above, yesssss let's go! So yeah you're right bud. Viva The Warning DPA let's go!!
@@gerardogonzalez-hj2my Is "vamos" the most used word in Spanish after "por favor" & "por que"?

Hi from Austria ! Love your Music ! Great Ladies ! 👏👏👏🎸🥁

That guitar tone Dany gets in the live version is phenomenal. Dirty, dirty dirty. Thank PRS.👍
Yes that riff at the end of the crowd participation part is awesome! I thought it was new but it's there on the studio version, I just never noticed it before!!
*Two, Three, Go!!!*
Thats my favorite part!
1:46 pau is majestic
I see music in pictures. What I see here is a Ferrari on an open road. Ale's bass riff is the Ferrari shifting from first gear to second gear. Dany's muted part is third and fourth gear. Then it explodes into fifth and sixth when Dany un-mutes!
It's so intense and exciting
The first 15 seconds can also be described as when you start up a Harley.
interesting analogy, and more interesting when you realize that some of the most iconic moments of the band have been in the foro sol which is over a racetrack.
I am over-Pau-ed.
That's it.
We need to talk more about this 5 feet nothing musical genius.
Her songwriting, her conceiving a song including intro bass line, her harmonizing, her lead vocals, her tech-savvy multi-tasking in live performances, her drumfills & those incredible buildups on the drums, & her explosive energy that radiates through ether into our screens.
Yes, her sisters are exceptional musicians & singers with unbridled energy.
But Paulina Villarreal is gradually becoming that giant supernova about to explode into international stardom.
Forget everything else; just her profound poetry alone is worth so many laurels.
Pau is a five foot stick of dynamite!
Just to give credit where credit is due..Pau tends to start many of their songs but all three have a major part to play in their song writing and all three combined create the finished masterpieces. Pau is incredible l, but Ale and Dany are just as amazing.
Let's say Pau is the Brain, Dany the heart and Ale the power. Brain will always command and put everything else in track but brain couldn't survive alone. Pau is multitask as a Brain is and of course we have got to give her credit for that but The Warning is the 3 piece, perfect soul/machine; no more nor less ⚡
Wow The Warning kick butt during this live performance of Disciple . It's very cool when you hear All 3 Sisters Singing.
Actually hearing Ale in the mix is great. I know she has always been there but my hearing isn't what it was and these videos I can really hear her.
@@lonelywind3511 I believe Ale voice is a bit lower than say Dany do she does a great job with the Vocals. / You can hear her a bit more in the video for money then one for Disciple.
@@ericgaudet5488 She really comes through at the start of the third repetition of Hush Little Baby in the Enter Sandman video they released a few days ago. But I remember how she did way back when they did The Pretender out of the basement.

Love the warning the greatest band
Talent, charisma, beauty! Love this band!
They rock. This has to be the best all girl rock band I've heard in a long time.
As far as lyrics are concerned their intellectualism is at par with the best in history across genders. That is why every song by this band needs to be listened to with lyrics & back story, if any.
This song is the drummer's metaphorical take on the effect of social media on our lives. The lead singer, Dany, is the antagonist and starts with "the sun is YOUR enemy today" while her younger sister, Pau on the drums, sings the 2nd verse as a disciple "the sun is MY enemy today". And then they trade lead vocals as per the script. Youngest sister, Ale the bassist, joins the chorus & background vocals in lower scales.
Fun fact: In 2019, a 17 year old Pau got the idea about this song's chorus while shopping in a Canadian supermarket. She came home and composed the song on her piano, including the bass intro, before calling her sisters.
In 2018 The Warning published their 2nd LP as a concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene. There they delved into issues about life & death, self harm & lunacy. Mindblowing to think that Pau was in middle school when she wrote the initial draft in 2016-17. Very similar to Roger Waters in The Dark Side of the Moon.
How many bands have recorded concept albums in rock history?
Life will be complete when they release Narcisista & Revenant from this concert.
Can't wait.
I agree. Just the mere thought of those two performances gives me chills. I haven't seen the whole concert yet, but I've seen those. Revenant will absolutely bend people at the knees.
1.56. My mind boooom
1.56 of pure power
Absolute rock stars and they're just getting started
they say the brain can only process one thing at a time, well u can throw that little theory out window, these girls do a lot more than one thing at a time, playing amazingly good and then totally not following what the instrument is doing, its like a 6 piece band when they all sing, six different sounds coming out them girls at the same time, then add in the animated showmanship, and they do it with ease while making it look fun as hell, yea they def can jam and chew bubble gum at the same time
