"Edgar Allan Poe was born rich but died Poe."-Byron
No one will ever put pen to paper like this literary genius did.
Truth
This is really fine narration. Classic storytelling with occasional contemporary quips mixed in. And of course the background imagery. Really cool stuff!
Thank you! I have more videos to see and more on the way!
I have always believed in Magic , Now I know why ! Thank you for bringing this masterpiece to life a talent of yours to be sure !

Haven't thought about this story since I read it back in my freshman English class in 10th grade. truly amazing
Same - was high school for me too. I forgot how crazy the narrator was 😀 - thank you for watching!!!!
i read this in 11th grade.....that was years ago
@@kalel311superman9 it was the late 90's for me, 1998 I believe. It took me a long time to realize that the main character was luring the man into the cellar so he could brick and mortar him in and leave him there to die.
@@boci122 montresor took advantage of Fortunado's drinking problem. Fortunado as his name implies was not so fortunate
Very well done. Truly enjoyed watching this. Not exactly but this is how I remember sort of visualizing it when I first read it as a kid.
Fantastic, Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching!!
Masterfully done!
One of my favorite stories by Poe. I have often wondered whom the narrator is confessing to.
Thank you!
I wonder about that myself 😀
@@_Story-scape_ At least I’m not the only one 😊. He says “you who so we’ll know the nature of my soul” makes me think it’s to a good friend or loved one.
@@thomaslafferty8382 - or a priest but he does not seem repentant lol
@@_Story-scape_ I hadn’t considered that. That’s good. Maybe a death bed confession
Another amazing video!

i remember reading this in high school as a class project, fortunado means fortunate but in the end he was not as fortunate as his name implies Montresor took advantage of fortunado's drinking problem
He certainly was not! Lol.
Very nicely done!
Thank you!
Should do the raven, fantastic story.
