What if I want the same OS which I have in my HDD but not the photos, videos, etc. and also do i have to change the boot settings everytime I have to take a look at my photos & videos from HDD or i can easily access it from D drive? And if u r suggesting for fresh installation of OS then plz tell me how to install it after disabling SATA 1.... Plz reply fast.

Make ssd hdd as primary boot device and existing Hdd as secondary for data like file and photo purpose. 3. No need to change the boot setting every time. 4. MUST take backup on another external drive or google drive. 5. Installing os on new SSD will make your pc as a new pc. Best of luck 🤞

Have you taken your documents. Phonto and other files? Have you install SSD in your laptop. If you did.. I believe your pen drive is bootable.. If so Restart the computer and at the Dell logo, press F12 to enter the One Time Boot Menu. Select peb drive or usb option and follow steps to install os. . I believe your laptop came with pre install os so you do not need to worry about window os key.

I'm planning to install a 250GB SSD from Crucial onto my laptop. Do I need to clone the operating system from the old HDD to my new SSD or does the new SSD already have its own operating system? And apart from the steps that you did, do I have to do anything else? I hope that you can give me some advice so I won't destroy my laptop, thank you😁
*I would like to suggest you do not think to clone/merge your SSD with the old HDD. Cloning may slightly slow down SSD performance. Install Fresh OS and activate windows on SSD *Use SSD to install Operating System (Win10 or Win11) on it and keep data that you need frequently, It will BOOST your PC performance forever. you will feel a NEW and advanced PC. really!! You can install heavy Software also and you can use it easily without any lagging *Use old HDD to keep your other data. what you need very little. = C: (SSD) = for Windows and all applications +frequently required data =D:/E: (HDD) to keep your other files (Movie/phots/ )

I found out a one guy use Command Prompt to make his External HDD become a bootable device, should I do that in the same way? For now what I know is just creating ISO file and copy it to the new SSD, but I don't know whether it's possible to boot and set up new OS if I just simply copy the ISO file to the SSD and then install it into my laptop. P/s: Right now I don't have any USB or DVD/CD and I really don't want to buy one because since I started using laptop, I've never used the USB again so I think it's quite a waste to buy one just to install Windows 😂
@@akn2643 I am not sure about the command to make bootable .. You can try it ... or if you can arrange or borrow pen drive instead of buying it you can Rufus app to make it bootable drive .... of course do not need to buy pen drive ...

You will have to replace only HDD with ssd..that's it.. no settings required.. just install OS . If you see any issue feel free to share.
