    In the neighborhood I grew up in, dog fighting rings were normal and they would let the kids in the hood watch the fights. I thought it was normal, now grown up I know it's definitely NOT normal. Made me pretty sad, Animal Control is definitely needed.

    I was thinking about being an animal control officer but knowing I can die and have to be in situations like that is why I know this isn't for me. I know for a fact I can't handle things like that and especially guns cause of my sensory issues with sound. Thank you for making this video! It helped me stop before getting into something I'd regret. You guys are awesome and I applaud your courage and sacrifice.

    The people who do these job are a certain personality. Like the letters to tell the type of person you are. If they took a test it would be similar or close. This requires a certain person to begin, not only trained into it. Same with officers, firefighters and more. I can only do CPR and first aid but not a job medically. Just my observations from meeting folks who have these jobs, animal control, officers etc. This video shows that yes it takes a certain person. Like to stay calm in those situations if it escalates. I mean lifeguards are a different breed and I can see that. It is tough, these jobs nice video.

    I had an incident just this evening where I live, and I wish you were here to educate and inform a dog owner that he doesn't have the right to allow his aggressive, powerful and vicious puppy to run loose in an HOA community. The dude wants to act like the HOA property is his own backyard, and everyone else should have to stay away from him and his dog while they're playing outside. I'm legally blind and I walk my Pomeranian male 11 year old who has breathing problems already in the same area as this dog owner claiming to be disabled himself. I told him I would report him to animal control tomorrow, and we'll get to the bottom of it. This dude thinks the rules don't apply to him, and if there aren't any rules, I want to know about it.

    Seriously. Nineteen (19) years on the streets. No PO PO defenses. One response to a multi pitbull attack.... PoPo Swats were jiggling their lights to antagonize the dogs I was trying to subdue. I had to call out for the swats to quit. I would have been the person attacked. They laughed after I quietly requested that they HOLD THEIR LIGHTS STEADY. They were clearly trying to get the fearful animals to attack. I proceeded to complete that case and did not call that response team to justice. Truth. Those dogs had already attacked multiple people. Their command told them not to neutralize the vicious dogs. *Politics, paperwork*

    U a good one or like one I just had show up trying to scare me into showing him my dogs . Because someone made an anonymous tip . Said show me or ill come back with a warrant and take them I said bet . I casually let them know they were being recorded and they split faster than a piece of 3 year old firewood love me some wussy cops who run when they are confronted.. 50 percent of ur job should be teaching other animal control and cops how to treat someone with respect. I'm a logger but everything doesn't look like a log to me .. why should ur job be any different. .. I'm tired of tyrants acting like good people in front of cameras . Call them out always record . Your experience isn't necessarily what would happen in another jurisdiction. Plenty of municipalities exist where they would in fact, return with a warrant. As far as seizing animals, it would depend on the complaint and what was found.
      As with most government agencies, it's your choice if you want to screw around and find out.

      All depends on your local ordinance. Some places allow ACO's to enter private property if an animal's life is in danger.

    • @HereFishyFishy967
      @HereFishyFishy967 Год назад +4

      4th ammendment law is more complicated than that. In conducting an investigation, an officer can move about the common areas and easements of the property that are not enclosed by a gate. More than that there is a difference between livestock gates and man gates. Livestock gates are not expected to keep people out. Therefore, you can move through them so long as they are not locked. Open gates and doors also allow access as long as there is a reason (conducting an investigation). There is also exigent circumstance, where there is some serious time sensitive issue, like a dog heat stroking in the backyard. If you can see it you can enter. Even windows into a house, you can look in a window and it is considered plain view as long as you don't "break the plane", meaning you can't lean in and shade your eyes to see in basically. 4th ammendment law is nuanced and anyone in law enforcement is thoroughly trained to its application.

      Agreed. I had a control officer on my property and answering a peacock complaint. The peacock not mine was watching me clean my truck. The officer said it was my bird and I had to catch it and give it too him because of a complaint. I told him it was not mine and since the neighbors complained they needed to catch it and give it to him. I liked the bird more than I liked him and he was welcome to leave. I would call and have a trespass order on him if he did not leave. Seems to me he needed manners and better training himself.
