Learn how to write about much more than her sense of guilt. Understand how Macbeth and the patriarchal society of Shakespeare's time drives her to suicide.

wow
you could say that when Lady Macbeth first appears on stage she is immediately established as powerful because she is allotted an inner voice and a perspective on stage, showing her to be powerful. However her speech is actually her reading a letter from her husband which shows that despite what she may think Shakespeare is actually highlighting how the patriarchal society means that women can only grasp power through the superior male in their lives.
you could then argue that the reason she takes out the letter when sleepwalking is because that is the only time she has ever felt truly powerful and she realises that that is just because she had macbeth's words and courage inside her.

Quality gonna need this in a few weeks, thanks Mr Salles
Great Video, as always.
Great Video, do you think we could get a Shakespeare video that can help answer every question, similar to the Jekyll and Hyde Context video that could be used for any question really thanks.
I feel like this scene coming up this year for the exam
Came up this year
Sir what the hell is going on in the 'graphic' image in 2:33
If Lady Macbeth is so desperate for power, why would she want to get rid of the little power she has left, represented by the "spot" on her hand???
I see it as representing her guilt, not her power
Question to anyone who watches mr salles’s videos, do u write down everything he says or just absorb the info as u listen? or something else?
I mostly just listen but there are some key points I would write down
I write down pretty much every point so then I can remember them night before
for videos like this its good to annotate the book with the techniques and ideas he gives
Are you doing any blood brothers very videos?
Sorry
She wanted to swap roles. Mind blown.
Try listening to "Roleplay. Lady Macbeth. " on BBC SOUNDS. Some of these themes are discussed. Can't paste the link but it's easy to find.
