Thank you for your video! Your hair looks great! I’m 63 and have been growing out my gray 4 months now. At first however I was a little freaked out because I have been coloring my hair since my early thirties. But I’ve learning to be more relaxed and to embrace the journey.
It's only going to get better! It's so freeing & it somehow elicits more compliments. I'm quite shy & was surprised at how many strangers started conversations with me when I let my silver grow out. Your curls are fabulous! Stay well. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
Thanks for your thoughts. We’re about the same. The last time I dyed my hair was September 2nd. I am also trying to enjoy the process and trying to not jump ahead to what it will look like. This is a test of my patience but I tell myself to enjoy the journey because when it’s over my dark hair will be gone forever. It’s a long goodbye to dark hair! 😍
Been coloring my hair since early 30’s and am now 71. Can’t see allowing myself to go grey until at least 75. Kudos to everyone who has taken the challenge
I subscribed! I’m in my three months of going gray and have curly hair. I tried once before about 8 months ago and was shocked at the change and went back to dying. After mid January I defended to embrace it. Your video sounds so much like how I feel. Excited to see how tmy gray/silver hair will turn out like and am super excited to see what I will look like. Yes celebrate US!! See you next time!
Carrie love this video and the bloopers!👏🏼 you’re right video recording can be challenging for sure. I will say it gets easier more you do it. Love how many things you expected turned out to be better that’s so true in life and red definitely looks great on you and with gray hair!☺️🦋
Love your message! Very inspiring. I’m also a curly girl and have been considering letting my grey grow out. I’m also curious how it will look and whether my curl pattern will change. Girl you are rocking the grey!
Your gray is a lovely, silvery color, and the curl is awesome. Because you have such lovely skin, the combination will be absolutely stunning. By summer, you'll need to leave early on errands to answer the compliments you'll get along the way.
Love your curls! And so pretty with the grey. I've just put up my 18 month no dye video. You're right about expectations! I can't wait to see how it comes out.
Hi, I am 2 months in. It's rough but I find wearing my hair curly helps. Can't wait to see the upcoming months. Not to mention so far I have received some compliments so that also helps.
Huh... it‘s been three months now... would love to see what your hair looks like right now!🤗 I‘m almost 5 months in and also, I‘m growing out my pixie 😊... bet you know exactly what I‘m going through right now!😅🙈 Anyway, you look great with your silver coming through... I hope you didn‘t give up or anything. All the best from Germany!🍀
I am 48 and transitioned 5 yrs ago.I started with a very short pixie cut. No regrets! So happy with my grays. Now I review and post videos of products to tone brassy natural grays. Cheers!
Wow! I scrolled through the comments to see if anyone else noticed all of the small floating light orbs in this woman's video. They are flying all over the place, like fireflies. You cannot see them with your naked eye, but a digital camera will catch them and you can watch them on playback. She clearly could not see them during filming, but man, we can see them now!
Have red curls. Curly girl method. Been letting it grow out since the end of January 2020. Quarantine to blame but I think it’s time to let it go. Going to be great to follow you......so far looking the same. And with similar curls going to be great
I took clippers and put a one-inch long guard on it and I cut off everything but my bangs. Going from dying my hair to being a natural grey took me 15 minutes. Now I can let it grow out if I want to. Enjoying the short hair for now. Easy to wash and take care of.
just let me tell you it was really hard for me not to scroll down in comment before you were done with the video! Because your hair looks fantastic with that grey sweater that you are the one if your hair is going to grow in that color you're going to look great in that sweater LOL so wear it often! I think it's going to look fantastic because your skin is really clear and you hardly need a speck of makeup at all on your face to put color on there actually I just think it's very beautiful. And the fact that it's so true that it's your own color and the fact that you don't have to pay for it cuz you get it for free, is even better
We are all impatient when it comes to hair-growth... But your s is growing fast!!! I am 1 month further and do not get that much of outgrowth...So like you said let s enjoy the process!

how's your journey going? I'm currently not going gray, but I'm growing out my natural blonde after black dye and these videos really help encourage me :)
I gave up on dying my hair because 1 week later i get grays again! and i made sure that it was covered.but i turned 50 on the 16th and going gray is ok for me.because coloring all the roots is too exhausting! so i am 3 months in. and i am ok with it. i don't look 50 anyways! lol
Beautiful... if only mine would grow in like yours... instead of 8 grey hairs scattered about on the top of my head a few sprinkles on the right side and 2 on the left side 🤣
Hi! I am in month 3 of no color no dye no high lites. I am letting it grow. This video was 4 months ago. How does it look like today? You look great already I am excited to see an update. Take care stay safe.
Looking forward the results four months after the video. Are you still on the porpouse???? I am on my trid month, and going gray and have no patience at all jajajaja. Thanks for sharing your experience!!!
I can't see to keep my dang hair out of my eyes.. my hair is like yours, but always falling forward.... UGH..... I keep a clip in it, but hate that. How do you keep your hair out of your eyes?
Oh girl, you are just starting! When I transitioned my hair was below bra strap, it took me 18 months with several drastic layered cuts but I kept it long. I think the second half of the growth is the hardest because you just want it over with. I can tell you a couple things: you won’t know your hair color until ALL the dye is off. Seriously, even the last couple inches cast a color on your hair. My hair changed color after the completion, actually became much darker over the last couples years, so much so my stylist asked if I had colored. (She only sees me three times a year-long hair!) The texture is different now. Much softer, waves are much smoother but not as tight. ( it’s similar pattern to yours) But the one thing is fantastic is my hair is thicker, much thicker over the last couple of years. I never had the complements on my hair when I dyed. I get people telling me they love my long hair and often ask if I dye it this way! lol Keep going! It is worth it and unless you are allergic to dye (like me) you can always dye it again. Sorry for the book!
Same! I can't wait to be all grey but I'm really enjoying the journey and the surprise colors that are popping out. My natural hair was ash black, my forever dyed color is dark brown and at 2 1/2 months no dye it's getting kinda tortoise shell?
Beautiful hair. It will be gorgeous gray. Agree, enjoy the journey. Changes in what I wear; for me it was about tone, I went from dark hair, which was a high contrast with my skin tone to lighter hair, less contrast. I have to say I can wear more earrings than I did before because the tone is continuous from hair to ear rings. I have short hair. I didn’t like it before when my hair was dark because it didn’t flow. It just looked like things were dangling off my ears. Looks like your hair is going to be lighter than the colored part, I think your natural color hair is going to compliment your skin better but I also think your colored hair is a pretty color.
The tones is so true. I always thought I was warm color. I have noticed I am cool . Soo Ah ing said that I guess the hair color I was using was not working for me because I was using too warm of color. I always felt like my hair color and face almost looked monotone.
Took my clippers and put a 1" guard on it . I left my bangs in tact. Buzzed off the rest of my hair and I love. My grey hair grow out took 15 minutes. I love it and I am going to keep this hair style.
I'm twice as far as you at this point. 7 months next week. Yes, it is an incredibly slow process! Yours looks great and should be fabulous with your wavy hair! My bangs have another month to go before I can trim off the rest of the color on them. I like my silver hair but it does scream and draw attention. Like you, I am an introvert, and that by itself requires an adjustment. I have shoulder-length hair and plan a big chop when my bangs are grown out....yeah!!
OMG his video HAUNTS my nights 😂 There is a box to my right, it’s Christmas decor from the attic that we hadn’t used in several years. The amount of dust flying around was ridiculous. I was (and still kinda am) so new to recording that I didn’t think it would show up. Now I keep it because it makes me laugh. We’re all new and make mistakes at some point, mine are on the internet.
Thank you for your video! Your hair looks great! I’m 63 and have been growing out my gray 4 months now. At first however I was a little freaked out because I have been coloring my hair since my early thirties. But I’ve learning to be more relaxed and to embrace the journey.
I just turned 57 and retired from my job. I bought two boxes of hair color a week ago and just decided nope not going to do it anymore.
It's only going to get better! It's so freeing & it somehow elicits more compliments. I'm quite shy & was surprised at how many strangers started conversations with me when I let my silver grow out. Your curls are fabulous! Stay well. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
I totally agree!
Trying to maintain a short shape: hair grows at warp speed. Growing out hair color: slower than a sleeping sloth.
Never a more true comment has been said 😂
Totally
I would love to have curly hair like yours!
My first thought too! Love the curls! 👍🏽
Me too!
Oh my gosh! I love your curls 💕 and your natural color is beautiful 🎉
☺️ Thank you
Love your enthusiasm and your hair looks great. You glow!
Thank you so much! That is so kind.
Gorgeous skin and makeup, you will rock the natural grey hair look

This is a test of my patience but I tell myself to enjoy the journey because when it’s over my dark hair will be gone forever. It’s a long goodbye to dark hair! 😍
I feel the same about it being a one time journey. I am enjoying it so far!
Been coloring my hair since early 30’s and am now 71. Can’t see allowing myself to go grey until at least 75. Kudos to everyone who has taken the challenge

Wow! What beautiful, bouncy curls!
Thank you. I spent a year really learning how to take care of my waves.
Thanks for sharing. I am 2 months into my gray and curlie girl journey. So far so good,

We are all impatient when it comes to hair-growth... But your s is growing fast!!! I am 1 month further and do not get that much of outgrowth...So like you said let s enjoy the process!

Welcome to Silver Sisterhood!

I just posted an update, I am now 8 months color free
It looks awesome
thank you
You look great. Is it cause of the salons being closed?
My last time having my hair colored was Sept 2019, though there are many women considering seeing more of their grey after salons closed.
Same! I can't wait to be all grey but I'm really enjoying the journey and the surprise colors that are popping out. My natural hair was ash black, my forever dyed color is dark brown and at 2 1/2 months no dye it's getting kinda tortoise shell?

JoJo Rey thank you. I can’t wait for some more growth! ❤️
my hairdresser Lightened my dyed hair and used a gray toner. It really was easy. And my is very white… I use a graphite shampoo
Wow... I love your hair... Beautiful skin too....
thank you
So true! I've been wishing my gray hair grow out away instead of trying to enjoy it more. Thankfully I have a looonng want to go 😆
This whole self love thing is a constant work in progress.
I am a hairdresser and the average growth of hair is 1/2” a month which is super slow when you want it to grow out.
Loved your video thanks👍😁
The tones is so true. I always thought I was warm color. I have noticed I am cool . Soo Ah ing said that I guess the hair color I was using was not working for me because I was using too warm of color. I always felt like my hair color and face almost looked monotone.
I can attest to the whole wrong color, been there for sure!
Hi
Do you use blue shampoo and conditioner?
Took my clippers and put a 1" guard on it . I left my bangs in tact. Buzzed off the rest of my hair and I love. My grey hair grow out took 15 minutes. I love it and I am going to keep this hair style.
I said your hair looks great with that grey sweater that you have on. Talk-to-text always wants to write its own stuff.
😂
Embrace the reality. We are aging. So it's normal.
This long in 2 years from pixie? Your hair grow with speed of light!
It does grow very quick.
I'm twice as far as you at this point. 7 months next week. Yes, it is an incredibly slow process! Yours looks great and should be fabulous with your wavy hair! Hi, are you still going grey?
I am! I just posted a new video today. I am 8 months dye free now.
By the way...I love love love your personality!! ❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
You hair in the back could still be dark. The hair at your hair line may only be at the hair line. Get another pixie.
I just had a pixie 2 years ago. Not sure I’ll go back to that already.
What the heck is flying around?
OMG his video HAUNTS my nights 😂 There is a box to my right, it’s Christmas decor from the attic that we hadn’t used in several years. The amount of dust flying around was ridiculous. Hi Connie. I am 8 months silver now. I just uploaded a long-overdue video update here on youtube.
Waited all this time and you did nothing.
