I agree. I miss the tin packaging. Especially when they raised the price for the palettes switch cardboard. I skipped last years and looks like I’m skipping this years too. Maybe next year the palette will match the color story and be the quality we expect from their products.

I think they put themselves in too small of a box with the maple pancake theme…maybe it could’ve been cool to just call it morning pancakes and have like three different stacks pictured on the tin packaging, maybe one topped with maple, one with a peach topping and one with a strawberry topping then the color story could’ve been toasty pancake neutrals with some pops of peach, orange, pink and/or red 😊 and maybe just have it smell like buttery pancakes before the toppings are added 🤤
The quality on this one is really subpar to some of the other fall palettes they have released, the quality in both the formula and packaging was so much better before they need to go back to what it was. The new holiday travel size 'Popcorn Balls' has me intrigued the quality on that one from what I've seen so far looks really promising!💜

Right now Ulta has this palette for $21.60. I'm bad about accidentally putting on too much and then having a hard time blending it out. This might work for me.

The thing I don’t get about the tin vs. cardboard packaging is the Italian Spritz palette that came out in spring was tin. Why are they doing some cardboard and some tin packaging? Does it have something to do with where they’re made? The Italian Spritz was made in Italy and those are good shadows. Inquiring minds want to know!!
This pallet really reminds me of the Coloupop gather round sisters pallete but like if it were slightly expanded. Thanks so much for your in depth reviews. I was a bit curious but after seeing your review I'm definitely not having FOMO over this.

Do you suppose it's a supply problem of ingredients? I wonder if the industry is still recovering. Do you have an inside scoop getting all these companies' PR, or not so much?
Def not the type of info they would dole out to affiliates! But no, I don't think that's it... I've reviewed several wonderful eyeshadow palettes recently. I think it's more likely that this was just cheaply produced banking on the recognition of a well-loved yearly release. I bet the powers that be over at Estee Lauder know a coveted limited edition palette like this will sell well no matter how much (or how little) is invested into it.
Too Faced literally got all of our hopes up with their Spring/Summer(?) release of Italian Spritz just to flush it all the way down the drain again with this Fall release. So disappointing! I wonder if they're going to do the small 8-pan tin palette this Fall? I really liked those too!

Absolutely in love with this eye look 😍 as for the palette... if only it was a more intense formula then maybe it would've been my first TF palette :/

It's not worth $73 CAD plus tax. Reminds me of the original CP Hocus Pocus eyeshadow palette. But that one performed better.

I don't want my face to smell like pancakes so this is a pass. There are certain scents I cannot handle. Same with the cinnamon bun palette.
Mine doesn't smell like anything (i have a sensitive nose), but I didn't pick up the gloss because the smell nauseated me.
