However, I first started streaming on twitch using twitch studio, and then I had to switch to OBS which was a painful process but I'm pretty happy with OBS. The reason for the change was that Twitch Studio uses a lot of CPU no matter if you're using NVEC or x264 encoder. I don't why this happens and this costs my stream a lot of frames. The bitrate is another issue, in OBS I stream at 5800 but on Twitch I can stream with just 4500 which looks really bad if the canvas is set to 720p60. Maybe because it's in the development stage but Twitch Studio is not the ideal candidate for me right now. Although the in-game overlay feature is to die for which shows the chats and the alerts in-game, hope OBS has something like that in the future. I forgot to mention that I have an i5-2400s and a GT 710 graphics card with 8GB of physical memory

I can see the game/window on my desktop--and, yes, I have set up the layer correctly (I think!), at least my other layers appear to function properly. I also went into settings on my MacBook and flipped the toggle in the privacy tab to allow google chrome access. What could I be missing?!? I do have a question and i hope this gets seen if you would know the answer to this, and as a not so subtly " *ahem* Try to not self promote" i did do the things in this video and some games are shown automatically while some especialy older ones do not show them selves. Like the game GTFO, the Ori games, and even COD WAW, show themselves but a game like the og Dead space (2008) did not show up, (i also had this problem with the game death road to canada) but long story short nothing i did worked and had to tell a friend im sorry. Twitch Studio tends to use more resources on your computer than OBS Studio so it could be that if your computer isn't the best. Otherwise try lowering your settings in Twitch Studio and watch my video on how to get the best Twitch Studio settings for your PC

So, I've been trying to use Twitch Studio to stream from Steam or GOG games and they only stream if I share my desktop...it won't stream Full Screen games or if I select the game. However, games from the XBOX App stream fine.

Hi, is there a way to get a fullscreen preview in twitch studio or a way to send only the preview feed to another app. I wanted to send the preview feed to another app (like you can do in OBS with the virtual camera), but I couldn't find any way to do so. Virtual Camera in twitch studio only offers me webcam and VTube feeds so that won't work. i also can't use my twitch feed, because of the delay.

Could be that your computer can't handle running the game and streaming at the same time, possibly try lowering the game quality or stream quality and see if that helps :)

This is gonna be a stupid question but I'm a brand new twitch user and I'm using twitch studio and streaming from my macbook pro. But, how do you play the game but stream at the same time? Because how do i view the stream and see the comments/followers and everything if my whole screen is showing my game. Do the notifications show while my game is on the screen? I'm so confused lol
Most people buy a second monitor so you can have one on each screen. But if you only have one, usually you start the stream and minimize Twitch Studio and play your game (you won't see anything since the game covers the screen). There's a setting in Twitch Studio called in-game overlay which you can try but it's not a fix all. Also some people use their phone to at least read Chat when they only have one monitor.

Are you streaming through your Xbox or your Laptop? If you're streaming directly through your xbox then you can't do much other than stream yourself and the game
Yup! You can do both at the same time. Just when you start either, click the arrow next to the end button and it'll let you stream/record at the same time

That's correct, you'll use a capture card to send the ps5 footage to your streaming software and stream via your computer

2 screens is always the best option, but you can play your game in windowed mode and it should capture while your not in twitch studio :)

Are you trying to get the chat messages to pop up over your monitor since you're a one monitor user or just you chat appearing over your stream?

Just don't share your full screen in your screen capture. If you only selected your game in the screen capture then you have nothing to worry about :)

not sure you can, but I'd recommend looking into the advanced audio mixer for twitch studio - otherwise I'd recommend using obs or streamlabs

Do your steam games have audio but it's just that Twitch Studio isn't sensing it? Or do they not have audio period?

I've uninstalled twitch studio but my device is still detecting the twitch virtual cam how do I disable this? This is really urgent as I need to give an assessment but the company software is detecting the twitch virtual camera and is not letting me take the test

Okay so I’m just starting mines and I was on the alerts and didn’t see any of those idk if it supposed to come like that or if they change it but the alert type wasn’t on there
Try adding a new alert box to your scene
It’s only showing alerts and not twitch alerts i guess it’s part of the update and they changed it

@@Kaiju-Klansman501st So this video is strictly people who stream through their PC since Twitch Studio is a PC program. If you're unable to hear your mic through your PS5 stream I would double check your stream setup/settings on your PS5 :D

It should show up on your Twitch Studio still but they won't show over your actual monitor, so I suggest using 2 monitors if you can

You should be able to see the video file location under your settings if you're locally recording :D

Could be that your computer can't handle running the game and streaming at the same time, possibly try lowering the game quality or stream quality and see if that helps :)
I can't seem to get the twitch account livestream data or stream video to come up on twitch studio beta!!! I have made quit good progress too

@@CpawsMusic yes. I have tried obs(selive) and now twitch studio beta and after setting up the auto install my info is there but no chat, status feed, or actual game feed.

This is gonna be a stupid question but I'm a brand new twitch user and I'm using twitch studio and streaming from my macbook pro. But, how do you play the game but stream at the same time? Because how do i view the stream and see the comments/followers and everything if my whole screen is showing my game. Do the notifications show while my game is on the screen? I'm so confused lol
Most people buy a second monitor so you can have one on each screen. But if you only have one, usually you start the stream and minimize Twitch Studio and play your game (you won't see anything since the game covers the screen). There's a setting in Twitch Studio called in-game overlay which you can try but it's not a fix all. Also some people use their phone to at least read Chat when they only have one monitor.

Any ideas on how to setup best for Xbox? Simple questions never get answers. Can you add intro scenes? I stream from my Xbox but my laptop holds chat right next to me. Can I make that add an intro to my stream?
Are you streaming through your Xbox or your Laptop? If you're streaming directly through your xbox then you can't do much other than stream yourself and the game

Yup! You can set them up through streamlabs OBS and then just use a browser source layer in twitch studio :)

You mention that you can either record or stream but you don't say whether you can stream and record your game at the same time. Is this possible?
Yup! You can do both at the same time. Just when you start either, click the arrow next to the end button and it'll let you stream/record at the same time

@@CpawsMusic got it I was in just chatting mode and was searching in gameplay mode😅...I had another doubt that I started streaming on my laptop but I couldn't see my stream on my phone on which I have the same account with one in the laptop....I want to see how the stream appears in live mode
