My grandson sent me this video and I am so glad he did! What a wonderful song and voice. So much of modern music seems to be the squawking of dollybirds. It is lovely to hear a song with such grit and beauty. It's like a cool summer breeze for the ears. Thank you for sharing. I have forwarded it to several of my friends. What a gift you have. Hold on tight, because I think you shall be in for a wild ride. Enjoy it.
Thank goodness for double j to let me hear this goddess. Complete goose bumps listing to this. I'm definitely going to get as much of this women and her pure voice into my life.
Incredible. Beautiful. Like a more dramatic and intense Chan Marshall, if that's possible, but totally her own brand of sound. Saw her solo support TFS in Canberra recently, completely floored me, first music I saw out of lock down. Love your work Grace!
If i could express my inner woman in a visual manner it would probably look just like this highly dramatic performance. A strong (because vulnerable) and slightly androgynous woman Beyond all nervous breakdowns but a hypomanic, shaman-like one that invokes a different kind of integrity and ontology, self-evident statement about oneiric artistic praxis that not only express but discover, uncover, and creates, lay grounds for the new and unknown dimension of reality.
Gotta add Comments Allowed on your other vids... (Helps you on RUclips) wishing you the best!! -Thank you for sharing your Heart and Talents! -Scotty on Maui. -p.s. This video got some hits!!! You are on your way!!!
I first heard this band about a week ago when they were opening for Ezra Furman. When she walked on staged on stage my wife remarked on how beautiful she was, to which I agreed and when she started singing, we were both blown away. Not to long after they finished they're set, My wife and I were sitting at the bar and I feel a hand on my shoulder and voice saying " excuse me" or something to that effect. At first I thought it was just a random women from the crowd but obviously I wouldn't be telling the story if it didn't turn out to be Grace. My wife and I spent a little time talking to her and the rest of the band, I even told them a bit of a joke " I thought you guys were Better than Ezra" Better than Ezra being a band from my childhood. Yes not the greatest joke, I was fairly inebriated at this point and it was the best I could do. They laughed, possibly of kindness, and one of them clearly didn't get it and said " You said that was a joke?" Anyway, discovering a new band at a live show is very cool and getting to meet them after made it a truly memorable experience.
It’s like Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, and Sharon Van Etten had a love child. Her voice and her expression is truly timeless. I’m in love
Love the song but the video is creepy she didn’t blink
NINA HAGEN you didnt mention her although grace seems to be tame in comparison .She can sing i thought bob was still trying ...
You forgot PJ Harvey
And Patti Smith
And a little Ozzy osbourne
This woman is a miracle. I am in love...
Still can't get over how good this song is! Huge!
If you like her you should check out The October Project
That voice…those facial expressions…the body movement…everything’s so unique and stunning. And of course, the song is amazing!
Yes. At first it freaked me out a bit, but you're right.

Just discovered this via Double J.
Interesting vocals, strong and urgent delivery. Touches of Patti Smith and PJ Harvey there in the mix.
Mercy Is
by Patti Smith came to mind, River Come Down by Beth Orton too - that kind of intensity.
She is so awesome and original.
She is awesome indeed, fresh and great. But she seems to be heavily influenced by Diamanda Galas in this one, even Nina Hagen.
She's a force of nature!
A force of nature.

You and Aldous Harding have the same vibe. Her video for "The Barrel" and this are just so similar.
Exactly ! Maybe same artistic director?🎭🎥

When I first heard this song I thought it was Neil Diamond singing. lol

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic voice and here she manages to out-weird Aldous Harding!
Exactly what I thought...wonder if she used the same artistic director for the video? So much like Aldous' "The Barrel".
She opened for Viagra Boys on Sunday and it was so good. Her voice is just as amazing live.

Wow, what a voice, what a feeling it provoke.
You have to do something with (tenor) saxophone, please.
Heaven full of women with wide eyes.
Can you cover the Skye Boat Song? It's iconic but it needs a bolder interpretation
WAHOO
She reminds me of Tania Bowra
Cool concept great tune... prefer the live version.
she got crazy eye
The guitar in the background sounds like rimworld
Doug sent me here
I hear a bit of Faye O'Rourke
There’s no voice like yours...
She’s somewhat like the Nastasya Fillippovna in my imagination
Look up Diamanda Galas
student at the University of Aldous Harding 🥰
Bloody hell ! She's like Nina Simone crossed with a volcano !
This is terrifying!
