- The pathway that the red bridge leads to used to be a railway track.
About two hundred meters on the right hand side is what appears to be a huge rock...folklore says that years ago when giants lived in Ireland, In North County Tipperary, two of them had a fight and one threw a rock at the other but missed him and the rock landed near the lake...its called giants rock.
The stone walls above the lake were belong to a family home a long long time ago..
The story goes that when the Steam Train arrived one night, the man who owned the house left on his horse to meet his fiancé on the train, it was dark and raining, the horse slipped, both fell and were killed... some say that on wet and dark nights you can still hear the hoof beats of the horse because the man is still trying to reach his fiancé.

Yeah, long overdue. It's hard to choose the right name that will reflect the purpose of my channel.
@@gtb100dzikus As they say in Ireland, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. It's perfect.👍

@@gtb100dzikus Thankyou so much for taking the time to tell me these fascinating stories.I really enjoyed them. I must watch your video again with these stories in mind. 👍🌻🌼🌷⚘🌹💐
@@domedweller4202 so maybe I will make another video... after dark without any music...
At 2:00 is that a segment of the old city wall? Just imagine what must’ve been happening right there where you are walking now, 372 years ago. Maybe one of those woodland tracks was used by Hugh O’Neill and his soldiers to slip away that night, while 2000 of Cromwell’s soldiers lay dead in and around the city. Get yourself a metal detector, who knows what might turn up!
Please read the description. This is the only information I was able to get.
