I can't begin to tell you how much this episode ministered to me. I'm the "parent", and have had a very difficult and painful season with my son recently. Your input and transparency has given me added insight and wisdom. Thank you girls so much.

    "Honor your parents...."
Relieved when recently heard a pastor say, "you honor your parent when you Honor Me."

In many homes here in US , the Grandparents hold the holiday traditions at their house with all the adult children helping and contributing to the meal, etc. It changes sometimes when Grandparents move out of childhood home . Then one or more of the adult kids take turns .

Hello ladies Wow thnx so much for doing this video I come from a family where life was pretty chaotic as a child & even an adult (as I lived with them for many years as an adult) I have for the last decade lived away from them & also moved cities & over the years have stopped visiting them as it was just to stressful then a few years I ago started trauma counseling working through a few different traumas from childhood & life my parents have never acknowledged that there were things that they did as parents that either hurt me or weren't the best parenting choices so it has made navigating my adult relationship with them really difficult as they are quite toxic people so a few years ago I put a boundary in with them of non contact for the sake of my mental health they have not respected my boundary they contained to contact me (& are even getting quite sneaky @ it) & I have them & my brother accuse me of loosing my faith & serving a new age god because according to them s a Christian I'm not allowed to put in a boundary as it doesn't honor them which has actually really rocked me because I know in my heart I I absolutely do honor them as the people God chose for me & I didn't put the boundary in until I had processed some stuff & God had healed me & I no longer hated them so I knew I was in a good place & the boundary was coming from a place of healing so watching this tonight has been really helpful especially the part about being allowed to re invite my parents back into my life as an adult (sorry this is probably way to much tmi for a comment on RUclips but I just wanted to let you know how helpful this was for me where I am with my parents right now

Praying for you! That sounds so hard. You are not a bad Christian for knowing when to step back from something x

Love "I give you permission." The Lord had to teach me after much family dysfunction that I had freedom and His permission to be allowed to be me. Still not that easy in my 60's but on my way in love

This was good, meaningful and hopeful. Navigating relationships with children and parent and in the same home as married children. Different outlooks and priorities, dreams and hopes create an amalgam that strengthens and fills the cracks.

Shameless parents are hard to honor them because of dishonorable behavior. Anyway, the righteous requirement of law is fulfilled by Jesus
