Hello everyone! The download for my Line 6 Helix / HX Stomp Complete Preset Library with over 50 presets (including the one in this video) has now moved to my website. Use this link - bit.ly/3hkkTCh As of July 2020, there have been over 300 downloads of my preset library. Many have written back and expressed their satisfaction and it’s my hope that you’ll enjoy these presets too. While I was working on cruise ships, I refined each of these presets over the course of countless rehearsals and performances with a live band, not to mention the hours I spent sitting at the front of house desk in the main theater after-hours. These presets have been meticulously tuned to suit professional use and I believe you’ll find that they’re versatile and incredibly reliable across whatever Helix unit and amplification device you decide to use. The Complete Preset Library exists in a Google Drive folder that I am constantly adding new presets to so check back frequently! I appreciate your support and your donation is good for life. I’m looking forward to building this community together and would love to hear from you if you have any questions at all. By going through my website, you're now able to pay with credit card and will receive the preset library instantly. If you’d prefer to use PayPal, just send $15 to www.PayPal.me/AlexanderPriceMusic and make the note “Complete Preset Library” so I know what to send you! This requires me to reply individually by email so please be patient. You may find all of my Helix preset bundles at www.AlexPriceMusician.com/helix
Hi Alex, great video! This is a rather niche area, but much like yourself I am a guitarist and also a violinist. I've just purchased a Helix LT to use with both and couldn't be happier. Previously I used an Electro-Harmonix Micro POG to get a cello sound, and I have to agree it is miles ahead of the Helix in terms of tracking. I don't know how it does it, I can have all 4 strings ringing out and it doesn't bat an eye! So will surely be incorporating this in the FX loop. Will definitely be checking out your other vids too, keep up the great work!
Thanks Stuart! It's nice to meet you and I agree this is a very niche subject. I have a video coming out Sunday talking a bit about impulse responses for strings that you might find interest in. Glad to have you around!
Do you still use the micro POG or did you find a better way? Personally I like the sound of it as well, I'm just wondering if you did something different.
@@PePe-kv2se Currently still using the micro POG, however Line 6 are bringing out the 3.0 update for the Helix series soon which has been confirmed to include polyphonic tracking. Apparently the hired some ex Electro-Harmonix developers specifically for this so I've no doubt it will have top notch tracking now. Will probably be saying goodbye to the POG soon. Hope this helps!
@@PePe-kv2se I will update you on how the Helix's polyphonic pitch shift is once the 3.0 update is released, I'll be holding on to the POG in the mean time though!
I don't have any of the eq hardware here, but I appreciate the frankly awesome idea of shifting the pitch of an electric violin so I can perhaps someday in the not too distant future enjoy playing Bach's famous solos for the cello on my Yamaha YEV-104. Thanks for the detailed guide!
No these presets are built for the Line 6 Helix and HX Stomp series only. If the Ampero is capable of losing impulse responses, then those will work, but not the preset.
@@AlexPriceMusician Thanks Alex for responding to my comment and answering my question about compatibility of your Helix Presets and IRs with the Hotone Ampero multi-effects pedal. And 'yes' , the Ampero can import IRs, so I've nothing to lose by trying them out. (I'm playing a Yamaha YEV-104 which sounds great even played RAW plugged straight into my Roland Street Cube EX Amp). I busk a broad repertoire from Baroque to Pop. Only just bought the Yamaha and the Hoton Ampero. Some of the presets on the Ampero sound really good, but I'm looking for presets and IRs configured specifically for electric violin, especially a Cello Preset.
Another great video, and I donated too! Honestly, would you be willing to chat with me via Skype, WhatsApp, FBM or WeChat? I could use some pointers understanding the basics of HX edit.

@@stufo_ I'm still gonna be using the pog since it's small and I doubt it's gonna be close enough to replace it but good to know, thanks!

Hello, can the iR be used in pod hd500x ???
Hi Alex I emailed you on some download issues with the preset. Please revert.
Hi, I'm a violinist. Do you have a preset to share?what a shame, i currently use podhd500x on my electric violin
Will you IR presets work with the Hotone Ampero?

Tried this patch with a Guitar?
Overall I much preferred Cello sound Preset #2
Thanks for your thoughts!
