Yes! He was very kind and gentle towards Billy Carson. I think that was a really good choice bc if he would've come across as some kind of Christian bully it would have been harder for Billy's audience to really hear the truth.
Yes. I’d never heard of Billy or Wes before this, (idk how I hadn’t heard of Wes🤷♀️) but the way both handled this said so much about each of them. I think Wes gained a lot of followers, Christian & non Christian, which is great cuz I think so many will come to Christ cuz of his gracious spirit.
I think this is the worst it could have gone for Billy. Nobody can claim Wes did anything wrong here to take away from Billy being exposed. And I don't think the discussion would have lasted as long if Wes was mean. The bible says to have this demeanor and it worked perfectly.
Hence his reaction !!! & he brings up "defendant #1" interrupting him when if ANYTHING he was trying to cushion Billy's fall & give him the exact opposite feeling billy is claiming, he DIDNT want billy to feel ambushed....I didn't dislike Billy nor did I think he preached some gospel, but now he's exposed himself. Horrrrrribly

I think one thing we can all take away is how to be patient as Wes was during this debate. He was polite and full of grace and never came across as condescending/talking down to Billy.
I'm so glad this came out honestly- the secular world says so many things against our Lord that go unchecked and unchallenged- and in the case with Billy, Wes was able to gracefully argue those insane claims he is propagating. I can't help but wonder what this debate would have looked like with Dr. White though XD
If "Bigger Name" Pastors, Historians, and Theologians were to address Billy, it would simply give Billy a "Bigger Head", and Flatter his Ego, and he would make claims that the "Big Guns" have to come out and address him, because he is such a "Threat" to Christianity. Wes is the PERFECT person to go head-to-head with Billy! Hopefully, Wes will become VERY WELL KNOWN, and INFLUENTIAL in Christian and Secular circles! Wes NEEDS to get on PBD and Joe Rogan Podcasts! PRAY THAT HE WILL!

He says all these things that 15-17 year old me would've ate up... and then I grew up and realized I needed proof or I was would've been as blind in my atheism as any run of the mill Christian is.. And then that led me to Christ. Billy needs maturity. His wealth and fame has clouded him from his heart and humility
I am just going from every show that Wes is on, explaining this insane lie that Billy has intentionally created... and I am LOVING, not only all the information he shares, but the way he is SO objective and not defensive is really humble and genuine. I wouldn't even have called it a debate, it was a total beat down of him getting exposed as a fraud, the guy has literally made millions lying to people, going onto podcasts without ever once being challenged on his claims. But it was so good to see Billy get confronted by a real scholar in Wes, watching him just sit there getting humbled and not knowing what to do or say. The truth shall set you free 🙏🏼

What I found interesting about the debate was that Billy spoke about a tribe who knew about a star system and they couldnt have known about it without special knowledge, but the book of Job talks about star systems, “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion?” Billy doesnt acknowledge that. The Bible also describes things like springs and valleys at the bottom of the ocean and the water cycle. Satan doesnt care if you worship him, he only cares that you don’t worship God. Edit: J Warner Wallace has a great video on the topic of science in biblical text.

This was very informative. I just listened this morning to the original interview that you showed the clips from. They're both very helpful in my Christian journey. I would give one word of advice. I think the title of this video could be a little more respectful of Billy. No need to humiliate him. I think Wes was very respectful.
Just watched a video about your past Jeff. You are a true work Jesus. Mine is similar but it took me until I was 52 to finally know what it meant to accept Jesus...I wish there was a way to just let someone jump inside your head because its so hard to make them understand...But its easy to see why people have doubt because we once had the same feelings. I used to say if cocain makes me feel this good then Heaven must be awesome. Now I say if Jesus can make me feel this good and make me want to do the things I do for Him then why would I want to loose this buzz with a stupid drug. God made us so He knows what we need to be happy. He gave us an instruction book to follow. Life can really be just that simple. All of this is so much more important than most folks realize. There are multiple generations of people walking around with an Ancient Aliens worldview (thanks to the "History" Channel, Zechariah Sitchin's crap, etc....), which ultimately ties into New Age thought, Theosophy, and other forms of occultism in general. This is a long overdue response from the Biblical Christian community. We'll done, Wes, and thank you Apologia for supporting him!
I would love to see Wes Huff debate Paul Wallis from The 5th Kind podcast. There’s a common theme between Billy and Paul, they both seem to push this agenda that our Holy Bible isn’t what we think it is, that the God of the Old Testament isn’t the same God as the God of the New Testament. So it gets a little murky for those who are new in the Christian Faith and haven’t studied enough to have a firm foundation.
This was awesome - I’m learning a lot from Wes! One thing I didn’t like was the Calvinistic parts of the discussion. On the one hand you’re saying not to judge God based on what people have done in His name - and on the other hand you’re saying that God made those people act in such a way that was inconsistent with Christianity.
I think there are a lot of reformed Christians like us who just roll our eyes at billy carson. His claims and arguments are so superficial and ridiculous. Thank God for Wes Huff calmly dismantling Billy's stupidity and ignorance.
I don't understand how someone can claim to be world expert in any field without it eventually being exposed that they're full of nonsense. That's one of the easiest things to debunk. Reputable people (again in any field) have their school, degrees, position, and whatever other qualifications listed for anyone to see. It's on personal websites, university websites, employer websites, any books or other materials they produce, etc. How can you be a public person and think that no one is ever going to notice? Even if I was a godless person who had no moral qualms about lying, I still wouldn't do it because I would be terrified to be found out and publicly embarrassed!
It seems like Billy knew those two books were forgeries... otherwise he sure gave up on them as evidence VERY easy without even questioning how or why they were considered as such. So either he knew or has no confidence in his research ability.

I had a brush with Billy Carson's friend, Terrence Howard because I do similar similar studies with color and pitch co-relations. Basically I "see" a color-shape for each note. And this led to the development of my Theory of Pitch Psychology. Roman Catholic here, by the way. But, anyway, I was defending Terrence Howard in an attack video on him where there were making fun of him for saying that they hydrogen molecule vibrates at a very very low E (E-major), and that E is yellow. And, so I knew he was on to something because I always "saw" E as yellow. Then I looked thru more of this works online and I found that ALL of his mentions of notes having a co-relating color were EXACLTY the same as I had always seen it. End of story is the Terrence Howard writes to me in that comment section and thanks me for defending his ideas. I told him to see my work here on the forum but have never heard of him since. What I wanted to say what what I think Billy Carson's intensions are, which would explain the sloppy research of his. Basically, I think Billy Carson is an intelligent scholar, but he basically has "decided" that Christianity doesn't "need" to be the focus of Spirituality. So he his literally, and casually just picking out attacking viewpoints that discredit Christ's crucifixion. To his audience and the public at large this is extremely condescending, if not Narcissistic. I also feel the Wes Huff wants to be polite and neutral, but also both men do not want to discourage the reading and study of religious texts. There is also a clear (to me) agenda for Billy to "prep" the public for the eminent disclosure of info about ET technology that has been kept under wraps by those is power. America is still a Christian nation (in general, ha) and Christianity is the largest reaching religion in the world as of 2024. Keep in mind that Billy Carson is part of the that disclosure project, and it seems rather clear that the govt is NOT in his side. My guess is that Billy Carson believes in God and is NOT an atheist. So, my guess is that he simply thinks he's figured it all out. Which, ironically, echos the pathology of pretty much all religions. (Pathology meaning they become stuck on their own perceived "path" of righteousness). As a Catholic I find it unforgivable to say to my face that Jesus was not crucified and so "now you know." I don't know if he's gay, (I am) but Billy Carson sin is clearly Pride.
I hope that someone at some point will contact Billy's ex-friend/host in that debate. Id like to know what he thinks and if pursued by the right person we could get him over here on the side of Truth/Jesus
I just needed to come back and apologize for giving the host of the debate a hard time. Mark seems like a genuinely good man, i had no right to criticize his journey with god. And for that i ask for forgiveness. I learned a valuable lesson from this.
I wish I had the platform to call out Billy in his plagiarizing and paraphrasing of Jordan Maxwell's ideas. 15:26 Specifically, all those little word puns and mixed in dog whistle hotep inspired ideas.
I don't know why I'm fascinated with this, I'm not a Christian. I love the way Wes handles himself. It makes no sense why people like Carson fabricate stuff to critique Christianity. It has plenty of built in insurmountable problems.
I think by Billy's own admission, he said he never had a debate, i can't understand why,? Just kidding, No but seriously i think it would be great to see Jeff, and Wes, collaborate in some way, and how about a power team on the streets, of Jeff, Wes, kirk, and Winger. There is also a clear (to me) agenda for Billy to "prep" the public for the eminent disclosure of info about ET technology that has been kept under wraps by those is power. America is still a Christian nation (in general, ha) and Christianity is the largest reaching religion in the world as of 2024. Keep in mind that Billy Carson is part of the that disclosure project, and it seems rather clear that the govt is NOT in his side. My guess is that Billy Carson believes in God and is NOT an atheist. So, my guess is that he simply thinks he's figured it all out. Which, ironically, echos the pathology of pretty much all religions. (Pathology meaning they become stuck on their own perceived "path" of righteousness).
As a Catholic I find it unforgivable to say to my face that Jesus was not crucified and so "now you know." I don't know if he's gay, (I am) but Billy Carson sin is clearly Pride.

I just needed to come back and apologize for giving the host of the debate a hard time. Mark seems like a genuinely good man, i had no right to criticize his journey with god. And for that i ask for forgiveness. I learned a valuable lesson from this.
