God I miss the Band and seeing my kid march and play in it for 4 years. This brings back great memories that I’ll never forget. Thank you for this video and Go Blue!
Excellent video of an a-maize-ing day! I especially appreciated you capturing the field rush. I can't recall it happening, before. It was a long time coming. 🎶Hurrah, for the Yellow and Blue! GOOOOOOO BLUUUUUE!
Let’s say that you’re a freshman in high school but can’t wait for college marching. I’ve dreamed to be in this band for forever. Any college level tips that might help high school marching and getting into this amazing band?
If it wouldn’t have been for the tough life I went through, this may would’ve been the year I would’ve graduated and received bachelors degree. 😭. Who knows what colleges I would’ve applied to if I received guidance on what disability services would’ve been like, if my parents let me live on campus first year of college, and if I didn’t have all those side effects from my depression freshman year of high school. I probably would’ve even applied to University of Michigan for first year.
Shame that mello player missed their stepoff right after horns up on the beginning of the halftime rehearsal. Still missing that on game day ??? Hope they caught hell from the rest of their section.
As a former band member myself, I can tell you that this is what rehearsal is for - working out the kinks. You'll note that it was perfect in the show itself. These folks always come through when the red light comes on!
@@bgreenbe thanks, Brian, but an 8 a.m. game-day run-through for a noon kickoff is not for "working out the kinks"! That's a kink that should have been worked out on Monday or Tuesday. Game day run-through is for solidifying moves mentally. I'm guessing either that person was still asleep from Friday night (been there, done that !), or it was a last-minute alternate subbed in. I seriously doubt that either Dr. Pasquale, his staff, or the other members were very happy to see that screw-up on video. A mistake like that should not happen with the MMB.
@@dougbrown9574 we had a breakout of Covid that week leading up to the game, so some people were learning the show for the first time that morning. Give us a break, we’re just having fun
@@THE_flushingtoilet I don't care about football and I live on the other side of the country so ill give my unbiased opinion on it. Michigan's music is more on the orchestral and complex side, which makes some parts of it a little bit unclean (which I can't blame them for). Ohio's music is simple yet clean. Michigan has better projection and honestly the music has more effort and heart put into it. In terms of marching, Ohio has Michigan beat. They're more together in their steps while Michigan plays with a lot of energy and seems like they focus on getting to their next set rather than making even steps and keeping an eye on the majors. Ohio's marching is more clean and together so I'd say while Michigan has them beat on playing, they don't have them beat on marching

Doug, you must be fun at parties

🤔☝🏽Sorry But Ohio State University Marching Band has You Beat 10-10. No Comparison. In Fact You Might Want To Take Marching Lessons From Them.
Ohio states marching band sucks ass
No Ohio states band should take lessons from Michigans
OSU needs music and football lessons
