I wanted to really test what this can do so I cranked to 104 over a couple hot days and got to 102!! It probably would've gone all the way, but the water is hot at that point, hot! I've since turned it down, but this thing is awesome. With my solar cover on the water was still 95 the next morning.
That's awesome! I'm not sure if we need warmer weather for this unit to increase temps that are targeted but within two days that were 16c - 19c outside the entire pool from top to bottom was just over 31c and very comfortable. I had it set to 104f. I don't expect it to get that hot, but if 31c isn't the max I would to see how high it goes
@@karimhassam6428 30 for us would be more than enough ! Weve been swimming in 18 to 20 water ! just my girlfriend hates cold water so she needed it to be better ! Hope this thing is tuff and does the job and splash resistant !!
@@bryanhonsinger7527 I finally got this thing figured out ! IT needs to be hot outside to make it work... We have had 2 days of hot weather in the 80s and the pool is up to 75 ! When we started it... It was at around 60 2 days ago
Amazingingly well! The warmer it is outside the warmer the pool could be, but even on "cooler" days like today it's 20c outside and the pool was 89f when we went it at noon. Definitely use with a pool cover to keep the heat in at night. I've had go up to 102f went i set it to the max temp of 104f but it's like a hot tub at that point. The thing to remember is it's a heat pump not just an electric heater. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. We are in the pool almost everyday
One more question. How do you have the pool pump and pool heater plugged in? Directly into its own 120v plugins? Extension cords? Curious how you have both plugged in. Thank you
It did its job well, sometimes too well as I had it set too warm as the weather got hot the pool was almost like a hot tub. Waiting on season 2 for the storage test, but expecting it to work fine. Biggest thing I stress is it's a heat exchanger - it's only going to get so warm if it's cool outside.
I would shut if off at night as it would build up ice on the coil if it dropped under 15c or somewhere in that range, I can't remember exactly but it's in the manual
@@karimhassam6428 yes actually. If I just run my pump but leave heater off will the water still run through the heatpump or do they both have to be running at all times?
Update - set this up for 2nd year usage a few weeks back and it's working just as great as did the first year!
This is my exact set up. Thank you for the video.

Do a vid! How is it performing now?
How did this end up working? Thinking of getting one. Thanks!

Pump and heater are on saem 120v circuit. Pump is plugged into a power bar, heater on timer then same power bar and extension cord to the outlet
I am thinking about getting this this year. Can you run this and the pump on the same outlet? or does it need a second circuit?
Same circuit was ok for me, never tripped once
How long did it take to arrive? Thanks I’m an hour away from Toronto
Came about a week after it shipped and I'm in BC
So how do you like it?

Any update on this?
Worked great throughout the summer. Will be setting it up again May/June weather depending. Anything specific you want to know?

@@th3fxr as long as your pump is on water can flow through it even if the heater is off.
