- Please NOTE!
I adjusted for the cooling loss in the tank and then got these new figures for 20°C air temperature.
COP_max = 4.21
COP_mean = 3.49
(4.21 is above 4.15 COP specified @15°C air temperature, but I had about 20°C air temperature...)
How did I figure out the heat loss?
I measured how much a similar 52.5L-tank dropped in temperature from 40 to 22°C in the same conditions, and got a "mean loss wattage" of about 120W, with no bubbelwrap afloat, but with insulation below the water tank.

Interesting, Tack so mycket. Can you tell me what the maximum temperature is that the water can get to? I am thinking about using this as a water heater for domestic water for an off grid application.
Hello! Thank you!
No, it will not work in practice, because people can die from Legionnaires' disease!!
(The water needs to be above 55-60°C)
It will work in theory though, if it hot enough outside it will reach 41-43°C! (+10°C outside or warmer) however, YOU WILL GET B. LEGIONELLA AND THAT IS REALLY DANGEROUS!!! People can die! Or get very-very-ill!!
@@walp86 thanks so much. No 43 degrees is not a high enough temperature. Thanks for your video.
