Super impressed with the quality of this model for the price. I collected 1/18’s back in the day before selling my collection. In the last 6 months I’ve started collecting Spark 1/43rd’s. But I’m seriously considering starting my 1/18 collection again with these CMR models. They’ve entered the market to offer quality, budget, models. With detail levels similar to the old Autoarts. That’s good enough for me when these will be display pieces.
I had a chance to purchase a “mildly” damaged Aa 787B about 13 years ago for about $150, and didn’t pull the trigger. I always felt I lost my chance at getting one for my collection when they began costing as much as an actual driveable beater car 😂 I just received the CMR earlier this week, and I am quite pleased with the final quality. The only thing I have to not pick is the bronze Volk turbo fan covers on the front, which never said anything and were plain on the actual car, but if I absolutely feel like it, I could always scuff them up and air brush them white and You’d just about never tell it’s a CMR. I recommend this to anyone looking to pick up an iconic Le Mans, or for the gamer fans, Gran Turismo car for their collection, and the price is certainly friendly for most wallets 👍🏼
CMR got the doors wrong they do not cut into the front fenders at the top of the fender, also the side air intakes CMR made them to small, the AUTOart version of the Mazda 787B got the doors and the side air intakes correct.
Whoa! I never expected you to review that one, I once got to see it in-person with a diecast model dealer and it was stunning. Not gonna lie, might be my next go-to model if I run out of AUTOart models sold locally.
Mazda 787b i got a hot wheels premium une today and i buy une with very good detail wish it means i will have a beast in my coleccion i only have around of 10 cars wish is not alot 😕 and i can’t have alot more cus un yust a kid it means i dint have monye some times i tell ti my MOM for New une i wish i have a free one but i wanna say you are one of the best youtubers😄
Superb CMR , 1/18 scale Mazda 787 LM , it's a great model and have a lot of details and the painting and the decals are amazing . I allways loved this model . Thank you for sharing , my friend and Happy New Year 🎉🍾🥂
I mainly collect Ford Falcon road and race cars, but I've always loved the 787B and at this price I have to find an Aussie retailer and see how much they are, beacue it's a beautiful looking model!!
I have 3 x Aa 787B, the original black box, re-released with the trophy and the rare htf #18 from same race all new & before the silly prices nowdays they fetch. This is a pretty good rendition for the price point.
Hello... I have one just like the one in the video, and I have been pleasantly surprised with the level of detail... the model has an excellent quality price, considering that you can get it for less than 100 dollars
Hey, what would you recommend for someone trying to get into the 1:18 high end le mans models. What brands/outlets do you recommend purchasing from? Thanks
Hi! Can you say, which one is better? CMR or Werk83? Its looks same, but small details maybe? Price is almost same, Werk83 is slightly more expensive. Btw. nice video, thank you!
Is the werk and cmr same? I mean they come in different boxes just with different branding, apart from that the model is the same, right?(steerable wheels and opening doors)
Hi Rob yeah it does look good for the price Iam into these cars as well and have the Autoart Mazda which is highly detailed I suppose you pays your money and you takes your choice.
I ordered a spark 1:43 mazda for 10 euros and they sent me this one instead xD Not complaining! Screws seem were impossible to remove and I sort of stripped my screws :( Also the model came broken (headlight shield and right hubcaps fallen off), but for 10 euros not bad
Would you be able to due a review of the auto art version also the zonda R because I'm one for details. Great video looking forward to seeing more for 2021 the 787b and the the zonda R I was thinking about my next purchase"s from auto art because of the details but I I'd rather build my own say tamiya 1/12 scale? Looking forward to seeing 2021 with you and your great videos please keep doing what you do because I'm learning slowly.🤗🏁😎 from America.👍
I have reviewed all 3 AUTOart Pagani Zonda R models, you can find them in the 'Reviews playlist' The AUTOart 787B are over $1000 now, so I won't be buying one of them, sorry

Thank you so much for the review. This sealed the deal for me. Gonna get one off eBay. I’ll wait until I have F U $$$$ to get the autoart version. This looks like an amazing bang for your $$$.
for the money this is pretty good value no doubt however you didnt touch on a couple details that seem jarring... the front wheel dishes should be white, why did they paint them yellow? also whats with the same yellow coloured side skirts?? not deal breakers given the really low price but two things that wouldnt cost a cent to get right... so weird!
@@ROBSMODELCARS by jingo by crikey Rob your correct just looked up the museum one and sure enough both those details are accurate. still bizarre they copied a museum car instead of the race car! maybe mazda gave them the cheap license lol

787b and lfa best sounding cars eveeeerrrrr
I have the AutoArt original and this CMR looks excellent for that price, I would even go as far as this is a must have for any collector.
CMR makes the best model cars for the asking price.
I bought one of these a while back, and I don’t regret it at all. Such a great car for the price! And great review, as always.
Couldn't agree more!
This is one model I've been recently looking to buy for my collection.

This Mazda and Ferrari 412 t2 best engine sounds ever...
Thanks for the review. I will get this one to satisfy my 1/18 787B needs.
An RC convertion on this would be sick!
Brilliant Rob - cheers. Have been looking at getting one of these.
Definitely great value for money

This model by CMR is soooo much cheaper than the AUTOart version, really impressive model, you will have to wait for the review.
@@ROBSMODELCARS One of my favourite cars of all time, so I will wait for the review. Not gonna lie, it's gonna be great from what I seen in-person.
@@ROBSMODELCARS UPDATE: I decided to get a Koenig Special 308 from GT spirit instead of the 787B and I don't regret it.

I still have my AutoArt version. I had no idea it was a $1,000 model now.
Yes indeed, they are demanding very high prices now.

I want one!! 😍😍😍
Im thinking of buying one , as the autoart 787b are so expensive! Would you reccomend getting this model? Is it worth the money? Cheers!
You will have to watch the review on the first of January.

Ahh... The 787B Le Mans Legend
Never thought I could get a 787b. I only knew the AutoArt model which is quite expensive
Very nice model, excelent review.
thanks je l'ai en 1/18 fantastiique !!
There is a Autoart version of this model on Ebay for $325 (USD). The sellers name is klboyhong.
Please answer my question
Which one is better ? This CMR or Spark brand ?
And please review the spark one..thankyouuuu
I don't have the Spark version, so cannot review that one.
787b is iconic being the only lemans winning car with a rotary engine
Is the front and back detachable?

It looks decent. But I would replace the antennae with metal because they look thick.
True, but for the money, this model is very good value

Apparently this replica was copied from a car in the museum, and thus had this color on the wheel cooling fans.
