Thanks so much, @Bob-B-. We are happy to help. If you would like to learn even more, please check out our website www.teepasnow.com or call us at 1-877-877-1671.
I'm new to caregiving, part-time while in school. My training was so slim, so everything you teach is a real blessing for me. The hand through the sleeve I was doing intuitively, but I was putting the head through first and having trouble. Thank you for making my work easier and more fulfilling! So nice to see such a big community of carers.
Hi, @Lucy Simpson, so glad that you are doing what you can to learn more so that you can be an even better care partner! Kudos to you! If you like these videos, you may also be interested in our Champion Courses where you can learn even more and practice with one of our trained mentors (teepasnow.com/services/one-day-public-skills-champion-course/). You can also give a call to learn more 1-877-877-1671.
@Sa - Great pick up! Love the way you are starting to think about things differently from your mom's perspective. Staying curious and looking at all the pieces of the puzzle might help us understand how to achieve comfort and success together, rather than arguing about what SHOULD happen!
Teepa you are so amazing! I found you recently through a friend in Denver, CO area, at a support group years ago. Thank you and many blessings to you and yours. You have a special place in my heart.
I don't need to use these techniques just yet, but my father is going blind and deaf and i have a feeling i'll be needing them, he's the only parent i have left - sorry for the vent but it feels good to type it out - i really really appreciate the free, valuable and thoughtful advice that you give to people who are in a caring role for others
Hi, @Lizzifer, thanks for sharing. I'd also like to kudos to you for being willing to learn the techniques and anticipating when you might be able to use them. If you'd like to learn more, check out our Champion Courses (teepasnow.com/services/one-day-public-skills-champion-course/) or maybe considering joining a care-partner support series (teepasnow.com/services/consulting/care-partner-support-series/) too.

Hello, @Phazisa Mbilini, thanks for sharing with others. We're curious - how did they respond? Have you been using our techniques over the past 2 years? Please let us know at info@teepasnow.com or respond here.
This is very helpful and works so well. But I'm having trouble getting a v-neck shirt back off. Is there a special way to do that? I've tried the reverse of what you show here by trying to take the shirt up and off over his head first, but find that very difficult.
@Peggy Sproul, Great question. This is Shelly from Teepa's team, let me check with her and/or some of our team to see if we can answer this specific one either on our Live@5 segment on our Facebook page (facebook.com/teepasnows.pac) , or maybe Teepa will do somthing on TikTok (www.tiktok.com/@teepasnow?) We will let you know via a message when we do.
Hi, @Coenie Human, If you are still interested in seeing more videos like this, please check out Teepa on TikTok (www.tiktok.com/@teepasnow?) where we have been doing newer videos with better audio quality.
Good question. Please send your question to teepasnow.com/services/consulting/phone-consultations/ or join us for the next Ask Teepa Anything and we can ask Teepa to demonstrate how to do this with someone who has neck restriction.
Hi, @Lacreashia Bulls! You ask a good question. Would it be helpful to have another person hold the privacy blanket while you use Hand-under-hand with your person or maybe the person you are working with could possibly hold the blanket? Maybe you could ask a co-worker to help you try it out so that you could be prepared the next time you want to work with your person. If you still have questions, please reach out to us via email at info@teepasnow.com or call us at 1-877-877-1671.
Im a laundry worker and this medical stuff is driving me crazy i don't know anything about health care im not.a doctor or.nurse or nurse aide and as far as Dementia im 63 year old and im heading there myself.

I do too, but I see some unacceptable bad temper issues .. they ruin interactions. I saw this with an audience in particular.. She needs to be told that. Remember, I agree that she does very good things

WOW- I think this explains why my mom hasn’t worn coats out during cold weather recently...
She eliminated her struggle to get one on.

Wow Teepa - this is SUPER helpful! Thanks so much

Did you make a pants one? This one is great. Many caregivers struggle to get PLwD to bend legs for dressing.
We have not but will add this to the list of much needed demonstrations and work on putting something together.
