DK and Ashwin are cricket nerds. The way they break down different aspects of the game with such clarity is amazing. After listening to Sunil gavaskar, murali Karthik and Ravi shastri , this podcast is so refreshing to listen to. Would love to see more episodes with DK to talk about world cricket and not just IPL
Watching this interview after his brilliant 83 knock, analysing how chasing 270+ is ridiculous. And to think he almost helped achieve that..unbelievable cricket and analyst. And pundit.
exactly its also sad that the situation he prepares he is not being sent there and players like green are sent .... dk has done exceptionally well in 3 matches 9 matches to go hope we get to see him bat in most of them ,,,.
Love DK - he even says the truth that perhaps is escaping Kohli -> 200 is par score, and 180 is not enough - they need to push harder if they want to have any chance. Good luck to DK and the team, hope they can do better in the upcoming matches.
His analysis is top notch but can’t say the same about commentary. I prefer listening DK in podcasts, interviews, pre/post match shows over him being in the comm box.
Nah during his playing days he was a very passionate captain and wore his heart on his sleeve and was a thinking captain. Nasser had his plate full in the 4-5 years he had to captain England. He had to play the mighty Aussies where England would nearly always lose. Nasser was a fabulous batsmen his 207 at Birmingham had 38 fours. He didn’t do justice to his talent as he was burdened by captaincy and he was more of a 45 average player not a 37 average player but playing in England isn’t easy either. Nasser has mellowed down over the last decade I have followed him for the last 22 years since he came to Aus to captain the ashes in 2002. He had to wear a mask when he was a captain and now he is one of the finest analysts in cricket along with the late Shane Warne.
Dinesh is a genuine guy with an innocent heart. Got cheated too for the same reason and even took care of MV's son before he realized it was not his . Great he bounced back psychologically from that 2012 incident so well and married a squash champion of India Deepika Pallikal
🏏💙.......its a pleasure to congrat. DINESH KARTHIK for most fantastic and wonderfully great batting fire- works in the IPL 24,,,,,,,and above all,..always rising to the occasion and showing UR mettle ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that's the spirit & the skill ................It would be great to see Him in the coming T20 World Cup to the thrill of INDIA 🌻🌻🕊🕊

🏏🧜♂️.......me at 81+ creates an opportunity to ink that our Dinesh Karthik could form a fabulous team with Sky Cricket............most important thing to note DK listened very attentively to what Atherton & Nasser were saying .............no wonder DK spoke sense.,;; quite decently & eloquently..........and the SKY DUO "" could well see Karthik's depth :: best wishes ⚘🤍🎄
Never thought DK would turn out to be such a talkative person 😅. Good to see him speak in length and discuss how T20 has changed and how it changed the way people go about things now in all formats with our very own Putin of cricketing world & English wall of his era Mr Mike( Artherton Vs Allan Donald) - 1998 . 👌🏼
That is because the Englishmen gradually changed their attitude to the IPL. If course the fact that DK is their colleague also helps. I used to feel Atherton used to be anti-India 20 years back. Now he is a lot more neutral. Nass has always been very enthusiastic about Indian cricket and this is not a surprise.
Thanks, DK. I saw you take on MI last night. I honestly thought 197 was a score that RCB could defend, but as you said, the modern batsmen can hit anything and no score is out of range anymore.
We all love left handed batsman effortless six. But we never like right handed batsman six. We feel right handed batsman is a unwanted child. But DK cross batted six give me joy
Listening to DK and current IPL demands makes one realise how far ahead was Virender Sehwag in IPL and international cricket and the impact he had on the game.
People who can make fun of themselves and laugh at themselves are amazing to listen to, these three are exactly that! When DK was describing the job of the finisher, Nass came with an abdolute jaffer "My heart bleeds because you're making it sound like the toughest job since the gladiators"...Amazing job guys...I can see it once again on repeat...
...... so wonderful to see India's Dinesh Karthik sending Atherton & Nasser into such a blissful laughter at the Sky Sport 🧜♂️💙🕊...ofcourse its amazing 📳 vibration and the gate to many deep......hillarious coverages 🌹🌹
Great insights from DK. He has so much knowledge just waiting to be tapped into. Really feel he can be a great addition to coaching staff especially with his empathetic style as well. Also, great chemistry between Nas, Atherton and DK.
This is the first time in a while where I don’t think India are top 4 favourites for an ICC tournament. Might work well. Might finally win after not being favourites. Windies, Australia, South Africa, England are better. I’ve watched the big names in the IPL for India and they don’t look too good. Yet the young guys that are doing well (Abishek) won’t get picked. Whereas in countries like England, will pick the form players.
If players like sharma who has failed in 6-7 T20 world cup and 6-7 ipl , at his best days he scores 30s-40s and take credit of those runs can't be dropped than no point talking about youngsters .
DK is a geek of a cricketer.. he is that professor who has killed it out there in the field and also best at explaining the course theories and curriculum.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed. As he says humorously if CSK pursues him to stay back for a year considering his work for TN cricket we could expect DK to change his mind.
Started really well but ended up being a slightly longer interview..! Nas hardly spoke in the later half. Anyways, its always fun watching these guys - another good podcast..! Keep doing more - most importantly continue to have fun all along..! Cheers!
Virat plays more than 150, ends up getting hate Lockdown cricket generation has the worst cricketing knowledge..... Don't even use real facts, hate an individual player without logic
One question that needs to be pondered about is..... How will the bowlers evolve now? If batters can hit boundaries every other ball, then will express fast bowlers be the norm now or exceptional turning wrist spinners will pop up?

Sad that DK's last season is where he's a part of an absolute mess of an RCB team😢
exactly its also sad that the situation he prepares he is not being sent there and players like green are sent .... dk has done exceptionally well in 3 matches 9 matches to go hope we get to see him bat in most of them ,,,.
Shows how serious he is for RCB.. he is more focused on commentary.. RCB doesn't have control on his fans
Cry for Kohli .

Two senior most Englishmen and one Indian debating . DK's superb fluent English wonderful to watch
Bro at this point is finishing games in IPL as a side quest

Can we all just appreciate how beautifully he explained everything about finisher role...this man is a gem 💎
DK has a real personality, I hope sky ship him
Over for 2025. I love his commentary. And he has decent English
His English is a lot more than decent. He’s probably got better English than half of England
@@zachsingh1 I know he has great English. I love him personally.
@@jacklowe3037He speak good english. He just need a good accent touch.

Came back to see this video again after rcb qualified just to see the optimisim and positivite attitude of dk .
Watching this right after seeing DK almost help RCB chase down 288. Incredible!
Dinesh Karthik is an asset in terms of batting and wicket keeping.
Jheez DK went innnnn on nas!
Athers and Nas are incredible listeners
Dk is going to be next big thing in commentary, nice analysis.
Believe me.. Ashwin will be a great broadcaster as well
I love DK. It’s like listening to ronan o Gara talking about rugby. Very intelligent, and I love listening to him in commentary as well.
His analysis is top notch but can’t say the same about commentary. I prefer listening DK in podcasts, interviews, pre/post match shows over him being in the comm box.
18:45 this segment of explaining the finishers role is insane
Never seen nass smile like way freely, even atherton too

Nah Naseer and DK are hilarious. They need a show 🤣
Just love the cricket talks involving Nasser and Atherton.. Genuine cricket quality .. Vaughan is similar as well
Excellent conversation .. DK is quite a likeable guy !
DK is a brilliant broadcaster and brings his POV as a current playerunlike those who retired 30 years ago. Wishing him a great career ahead.

T20 means play Hard until you get out. The role of an opener should not be a finisher, it was ended in 2017 in the T20.
Well said DK

Simple formula to beat RCB if you're bowling first: Don't pick wickets.
