      To be honest, I had a 8700K with the Z390-A board; a GTX 1070Ti; 32 GB of RAM; an 850 Watt PSU and a 240 AIO cooler. I gave it to my wife as a hand-me-down. She does little more than shop online and play PC card games. It was a great machine and it was never abused, but in 2024 if you're looking to play current PC games; I'm not sure if it is worth buying. It is getting old and Intel is already up to the 14th generation of processors. Of course, everything would depend on your budget, but I would be looking at newer components. I don't know what the seller is asking for that machine, but you can put together a brand new i5-12600K with a B760 (DDR4 - 32 GB) board and 6750XT for a little over $900, without the Operating System.

      I would agree, it would really depend on the price. I got a good deal on an i7-8700K, so this build was pretty cheap and it replaced someone's older system as a budget upgrade. I wouldn't buy this CPU otherwise as it is very expensive on eBay and elsewhere, for some reason.

      @@zingwilder9989 For some reason, 7th, 8th, and 9th gen i7's are much more expensive than simply purchasing a Ryzen 5 5600, which would outperform them all. Weird.

      @@HaisteComputerRepair Yes it is odd and that 5600 is certainly the price to performance champion.

    I have an Intel i7 8700k with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 TI. Which would you recommend upgrading first?

    • @Starkiller1134
      @Starkiller1134 4 месяца назад +3

      Both. But if you have to keep one. Keep the i7. It can handle up to about an rtx 3060 or rx 6700 probably

      @@Starkiller1134 Yes. That was a pretty good answer. The 8700K and 1070Ti have both got some years on them now. However, the 8700K combined with the 6700 XT or 6750 XT can still get the job done for a little while.

      I'd upgrade the card to a 6750 XT, if you can get it (new) for around $300.

    i'm gonna but a pc that has these but with 32gb ram, is €450 a good price for that? (secondhand)

    • @HaisteComputerRepair
      @HaisteComputerRepair  Месяц назад

      That price for the same CPU + GPU combo? I would say the price is a bit high, but if it's the best you can find around you for a reasonable price it's not the worst. Just make sure you see the PC running and definitely check out the condition (how clean, if it came from a cig smoker, etc).
