As I have grown older in my wedding shooting career, I have seen the move by women into photography and because of my years of experience I have wanted to give back knowledge, so I have taken on the role of training younger photographers, mostly women with what skills I have learned over the years and also learning from them the new styles and ways of a new era of shooters. Women in photography have brought a female aspect to weddings that only the fairer sex can and have given the whole wedding shooting a shot in the arm that has long been overdue. They have the bookings and by training and working as their second shooter I can train and provide them with leadership while at the same time building their confidence as the wonderful photographers that they are and maybe just don't know it yet. Your training is so helpful, Thanks a bunch.

Your channel is different than anything else out there for wedding photography and your husband as the second shooter and part of your business gives you and your channel a different flavor. Both of you keep up the outstanding work and your husband is a funny guy. I thank the both of you for inviting us into your home and into your lives. Do you do just slides for the reception or a treatment video.
Hello! This was super helpful. I do have a question though. I am going to be a second shooter at a wedding this fall and the reason why I was hired is because the couple doesn’t like the way the first shooter photographs. How can I accomplish what the couple wants without stepping on the toes of the first shooter?
So good! My husband and I couldn't stop laughing because everything you guys said were things we've said/done. "We need to talk about what didn't go well today", "So you didn't get a full-length shot of the groom?", "Oh wow, you posted one of MY images" 😂

Don't feel bad, I'm red/green color blind and I struggle with colors (wife and kids with "proof" my edits. I think it's part of the reason I have been doing more and more black & white images, but I've always loved black & white.
M&K - What would you guy's suggest when its blazing hot outside as you are photo shooting a wedding, do you think it's appropriate for a male photographer to wear dress shorts?
How many photos you both shoot? Then you choose the best ones and edit and delivered so the couple can choose for print or maybe you edit only those will printed? Thank you!

Michael has never worn shorts to a wedding. Not that it can't be done, but I don't think we ever would.

We deliver 80-100 photos for each hour we are shooting!
