One thing about John and his "I'm not gay" thing - I think it is very important, but he NEVER says "I'm not in love with Sherlock" or something about his FEELINGS. He just states the facts: "We're not a couple" - true (probably, lol); "I'm not gay" - true, if he believes that "being gay" is equal to "being homosexual" (and it seems like it), and he obviously has relationships with women. But when Iren Adler said "You're not gay. Well I am. But look at us both", John DIDN'T DENY ANYTHING. NOTHING AT ALL. So I really believe this dialogue proves everything about John and his real feelings for Sherlock. They're not a couple and John is not gay, but they're definitely in love. And it hurts.
divyastrawberi She have lived in the same house with them for years, proba ly sees them daily. And in season 4 we learned it's "easiest thing in the world" for her to read Sherlock's emotions/feelings/thoughts. She has observed them for years and it seems she can read them really well --> She knows things. She knows them. She cannot be wrong when she thought all those years they both were in love with each other :p ;)
John: We're not together! Irena Adler: Yes you are :) Mrs Hudson: Yes you are :) Moriarty: Yes you are :) Britain: Yes you are :) whole planet: Yes you are :)
I know right?? 😭 And I think he only actually realized that when he went back to John and saw that he has already moved on... Just look at his face when he makes that joke in the last scene, when we all know that it wasn't actually what he was going to say. He smiles, but he looks like he's about to cry. My poor baby is in so much pain and it hurts me 😢
You know something, I've been rewatching this show with my dad, since I forced him to, but here's something I noticed. So John almost always denies being Sherlock's boyfriend, with the guy in the HoBV being an exception, but here's the thing. Did Sherlock EVER deny it? I mean, even once. From what I remember Sherlock doesn't say it's not true even once.
The only time I ever heard Sherlock deny having a partner is in the episode where he partners up with Molly for a day to solve a crime, was when someone thought that Molly was his girlfriend, he was like "pfft! Girlfriend? No no no" (or something in that sense) :3 So yeah, clearly in love with John.
***** Plus when Molly was hitting on him w/coffee he completely missed the advance while he picked up when John was doing it real quick. I know asexuals are sorely unrepresented in media, and that's why so many aces are pushing that Holmes has always been ace, I do get that, but they need to find another character to get behind, because Sherlock got the rainbow really bad.
they're not gay. jon is aware some of their interactions may look gay while sherlock is probably aware yet doesn't care to mention it. he doesn't care how he is perceived as much. and i took the "no, no no" with Molly as just him being brutally honest. its not like she's hot. he does say her mouth is too small. also, relationships aren't his area, but that doesn't mean that penises are. yall are nasty lol
I love that too, but some of the guys knew as well. Like the waiter at the restaurant in the first episode and the guys working at the hotel thought Sherlock and John were sharing a bedroom.
Sherlock was so overwhelmed by his feelings for Sherlock. I think the first time he really realises he loves John is during their wedding dance, when he looks at John smiling at Mary. When he realises that there is no space for him anymore, that John found his purpose somewhere else. And his feelings catch him off guard so much that he falls back into his heroin addiction to cope with the intensity of this hurt. Mycroft tried to warn him. Sherlock realised too late that he is involved.
I agree complete with you. :) But I think for the audience it is quite obvious that Sherlock likes John (more than it is normal for a friendship) when The Woman and John first met, I mean Irene tried to flirt with John and Sherlock forgot how to speak. And I also think that Sherlock realized for the first time that he cares for someone (John) during the pool scene with Moriarty. Complete terrified he threw the bomb-jacket away and scratched his head with a LOADED gun. And I think he is even more terrified because Moriarty knew it before himself.
My first time watching The Sign of Three I didn’t understand the phone call scene between Mycroft and Sherlock and the “they all get married, I told you not to be involved” but now the realisation just CAME CRASHING DOWN that there’s a possibility... that Mycroft and Sherlock are both gay and they have this kind of conversation quite often. “They all get married” implies that after having an affair in secret with another man, they mostly just leave and get married and eventually move on. And “goodluck not being involved”. Oh my God.
The scene where Sherlock smiles really brightly and genuinely at John breaks my heart because as soon as he glances at Mary you watch the pain and sorrow slowly wipe the grin off his face. As he tuns his head he looks so lost and alone. And then you get Mrs. Hudson's line about leaving a wedding early, and it's the most heartbreaking thing you could ever watch. I am a very enthusiastic shipper of Johnlock; like all fangirls I wish for my OTP to become canon, but I'm well aware that Moffat will probably never make it happen. Just the subtext is enough to hurt, and I don't think I could handle it if John and Sherlock's friendship (whatever remains of it) were to break.
Holy Shucks Guys, Moriarty won. He burnt the heart out of Sherlock because when he faked his death he left John and John moved on with Mary. and when John got married Sherlock left the wedding early because JOHN WAS HIS FLIPPING HEART. JOHN MADE HIM FEEL JOHN KEPT HIM RIGGT SO WHEN HE LOST JOHN HE LOST HIS HEART AND IT GOT BURNED RIGHT OUT OF HIM AND JUST UGHHHH
+Ellaine Grace Gurro Didn't Mary die in the books? I think she's gonna die in the show too and Sherlock is going to be the one to keep John going. Maybe Mary dies giving birth or after that and John and Sherlock will raise the child together.. I can believe we could find a new soft/sweet side of Sherlock when he's with the kid.. :) And that smart kid would love being with him and solving little mysteries with him.. Haha I want this to happen!
All i can keep thinking about is when the woman says, "And somebody loves you. Oh, if I had to punch that face... [looks over at John] ... I'd avoid your nose and teeth, too." AND then when Sherlock comes back from the dead, he gives Sherlock a split lip and a bloody nose because he was so upset.
it breaks my heart to see Sherlock being so sad and lonely in John's wedding. I have always wondered why the writers made Sherlock played dead for so long without telling poor poor John, because the whole act is simply hurtful and horrible. But I guess if the writers wanna follow the book, John have to get married with Mary one day, and we all know John in this show will never get married as long as he knows Sherlock is alive. So I guess Sherlock lying about being dead is the only way John will move on.
+Eragon Aelendîl haha yeah! but I don't think so, johnlock is more like a joke in the show not an actual romance.... but hey that's what fanfics are made for!
Chapter 1. John flirting to Sherlock Chapter 2. Sherlock jealous Chapter 3. Sherlock flirting to John Chapter 4. John jealous Chapter 5. Sherlock and John falling in love Chapter 6. John defending Sherlock Chapter 7. Sherlock trying to confess his feelings (and regret because of Mary) Chapter 8. Sherlock thinking he is loosing John Chapter 9. John thinking he is loosing Sherlock The abominable bride. Sherlock recovering John. John recovering Sherlock.
Mr. Holmes Chapter 10: John got mad at Sherlock Chapter 11: Sherlock is trying to get John back to his side Chapter 12: Sherlock and John finally made up
U know... Actually in every sherlock movie or series it is obvious 100% that sherlock in incapable of having sex... Bcuz of his deduction mania...... So the closest thing he has to it is Dr. John Watson.... Every field of relationship is cover leave sex..... Irene was actually happy married to some blok in original book by Sir A. C. D....... N sherlock was impressed by her cuz she outwitted him
LOL I'm love with your comment because it's clear as water that we are in Johnlock hell, just take a look of all the comments above this one SHIPPING WAR
+Fandom Gurl I just searched for it on fanfiction.net and there are like 6 different stories with that name (5 of them johnlock). Do you know the name of the author?
I've always found Johnlock shippers a bit annoying and off-base since John and the writers keep insisting they're not a couple, but I have to say having re-watched series 1-3 recently as well as this video I'm starting to think I may have misread the subtext...and besides, it's not like the writers haven't lied before
One it was John saying they were not a couple of Sherlock didn't I did nothing and second of all John only said they weren't a couple he never said that he didn't love him.
I SHIP THEM SO HARD. But like why would the writers have all these hints with everyone around them believing they are gay if they were not planning on making them gay? COME ON, WRITERS. I BELIEVE IN YOU.
I think ever since Moffat and Gatiss found out about Johnlock and how many people loved it, they made the body language more distinct and the stares 2x longer just to tease us. They like to watch us squirm under all this Johnlock subtext.
I've never seen an episode of Sherlock in my life (don't ask why this was recommended to me, I don't know either,) but it's plainly obvious how canon these two are. I wish my OTPs had this much 'evidence' to back them up! Haha.
+Nickie & Izzy John Winchester was a military man, John Watson was a military man...both Marys *coughdiescough* before their husbands....and you know...Sherlock has a...loveable awkwardness about him, much like a certain angel.. :D (not to mention they both watch the bees)
I love John's disgusted looks when Sherlock got a girlfriend🤣 and then when john was with his commander (who sherlock assumed was his ex) Sherlock was the definition on jealousy.
seeing Sherlock leave Johns wedding always kills me because just like Sholto, there was a knife. I knife that John couldn't see. Johns wedding was a battle for sherlock because he is absolutely in love with John and he can't stand seeing his soulmate marry another person

youve decoded sir arthur conan doyles early gay rights essay which he had to disguise as a mystery series for the conservative british government good job but youre not safe now
I feel the need to scream about the whole scene the clips at 10:44 are from haha- because dang that subtext. Like Sherlock is genuinely smiling and John looks up at him, also smiling brightly and they have a moment their feelings become too ‘obvious’. Sherlock’s face falls because he feels this is the final moments and John gets awkward because he realises what just happened. When they then talk about “we can’t all 3 dance, there are limits” John goes off with Mary to dance and jokes about when him and Sherlock were practicing the waltz, in a ‘haha two men dancing together’ kinda way (his defence mechanism) Then Sherlock nods to Mary like he’s passing John over to her ‘take care of him’ and then has to shake himself out of what he’s just been feeling- goddamn 😭
When I watched this video, something clicked. In season 1, Moriarty warned Sherlock "I'll burn the heart of you", in which he replied that he don't have a heart (foolish human) and Moriarty responded with "We both know that's not quite true, you know, you've got John." So what if the possibility that John's near burned to death experience was in reference to this threat. Well, John might be Sherlock's heart all along. Long live JohnLock!!!
I never really understood the whole "I'm not gay" "But I am. look at us both." but now that I think about it, maybe it means like "I'm gay but I fell for a man, you're not gay and yet you fell for a man too." or maybe that's just my fangirl side making insinuations.
It's not you, it is balantly obvious that she is implying that. She says "Are you jealous?" -"We are not a couple". -"Yes you are" -"Who the hell knows about Sherlock Holmes, but if anyone out there still cares I'm not actually gay" -"Well I am [gay], look at us both[we both love Sherlock, even if I'm gay and you are straight, it doesnt matter]" and John doesnt respond anymore but makes a little "Oh [so thats how it is]"
I actually kinda like Mary, because when I first got to know there will be a Mrs. Watson I thought she would be pretty boring and plain, but she surprised me positively, because she turned out kinda cool. Since they want to stick to the original, she will probably die. (I wonder what will happen to their child then D: ) I think she doesn't deserve dying but... the Johnlock feels.. :3
Mary exists (or existed) because they're trying to stay as close to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's version as possible. Johnlock will never happen, and we all know that.
The amount of times that they are staying at each other and then John looks at Sherlock's lips... Moffat is intentionally doing this, and it hurts to know they both have feelings for the other, but are both too freaking stubborn to admit it. Damn you, Moffat. Damn you.
And could we all just add that Sherlock would do literally ANYTHING for John? I mean he killed a man for his sake because he knew that John would be hurt if Mary was hurt! True love! JOHNLOCK IS REAL!! and apparently i'm johnlock trash **sigh**
And do not forget when Sherlock saw Mary shooting him (mind palace), he saw her in wedding dress. See, their marriage had taken John away from Sherlock.
the way all the clips in this are arranged in a way that it just FITS and totally makes sense that John literally lied when Irene asked him if he was jealous.
All that said though I ship it harder than grass and dirt. I need it to become cannon. Did you hear that series four is gonna have a tragedy in it. I'm hoping that a divorce between Mary and John and then Johnlock becomes cannon!!
There will be! My money is on episode 3 :p Check out Rebekah's TJLC Explained videos on the You Tube here and you won't doubt anymore ;) **Scar voice** Be prepareeeed!!!
She is amazing I agree! Also really hoping she's going to make more vids after s4 has aired ^ ^ To avoid dying of anticipation, Imma make me some elelphant-shaped confetti now hehe ;D
Noodle Squad Why did he even noticed them that way? Especially the cheekbones. I think he found Sherlock with the cheekbones and that collar up thing attractive.. I don't think for example Lestrade would pay attention on those things.
Every time Sherlock is flirting with a woman (Irene) or says he has a gf it's clear in John's face that he's jealous, just look at the way he talks and moves. With Irene, he keeps saying that Sherlock won't mind if he never sees her again, he knows Sherlock will mind (John Watson knows Sherlock Holmes better than anyone, of course he knows) but he is too jealous to even think about it. I feel like John really loves Sherlock, he doesn't quite know that yet, he just feel jealous when he sees Sherlock with someone else. And about John's stares and smiles and sad faces and touching: Martin is too careful for that, he transpasses what he know he should, with him there's no coincidence. So if John smiles when he sees Sherlock or look sad when Sherlock is with a girl, John is supposed to look like that.
The gay subtext was used as satire for all the fangirls and fanboys that obsess over every single action and line said in movies/TV- shows to make it all a some sort of gay conspiracy. And as a fangirl myself, it is fucking awesome!
Um.. no. I don't think Moffat and Gatiss who are both very serious producers and writers would do that just to troll fans and nothing more. Besides they never expected this show to even get known outside of Britain, let alone the worldwide popularity it has now. Besides n2 - Gatiss himself is gay and grew up with all the discrimination, heteronormativity and other difficulties that come with growing up gay in our society. I don't think he's going to devote his mature years, after all the experience he's got to queerbait and make fun of gay people and those fans who actually want to see queer representation in media. Just no. I have trust in both Gatiss and Moffat!
Moffat and Gatiss have said the subtext is because modern society would immediately assume that two men living together are gay. check their interviews on the BBCWorldwide channel.
The problem with the question "Are they really just friends?" is that people see friendships and romantic relationships as far more distinct categories than they actually are. It's not black and white. I used to think that way myself but some months ago, I thought about it hard. My conclusion was that close friendships and romantic relationships are mostly very similar and there's a large grey area (which John and Sherlock's relationship is in). In both cases, the people involved generally trust each other, enjoy each other's company, have little personal space between them, get social support from each other and are strongly affected by the other's emotional state. There isn't a single thing that is present in all relationships called "romantic" and not in any "platonic" relationships: monogamy, sexual content and the people being the opposite sex all have their exceptions. Generally, a "romantic relationship" is essentially a close friendship between people of the opposite sex with sexual content. Note: I'm not being homophobic here, just making observations. I think the people being the same/opposite sex itself is a major criterion for categorizing relationships, without anyone realizing it. That's the only reason I can think of for why several TV "bromances" aren't generally accepted as being "romantic relationships". Jack and Daniel in Stargate, for instance, actually started looking just like a closeted gay couple after I analyzed and compared several TV "bromances"/"romances"/"friendships" by looking at objective onscreen evidence and ignoring gender. It's not as though there's conclusive proof that all opposite-sex "canon romances" involve sex. As for John and Sherlock in particular, there's no conclusive evidence that they are or aren't having sex. The restaurant scene in particular, though, would imply that Sherlock is uninterested in sex in general. It's likely they don't have sex offscreen. There is evidence that John, at least, thinks it's a friendship. The evidence is that no one in the show is homophobic and everyone else thinks they're a couple, regardless of what John says. There would be no reason for them to be closeted. I would imagine Sherlock doesn't care about relationship labels because he's not very interested in what other people think of him in general. The relationship is extremely close so it's not quite a friendship either despite lacking major characteristics of "romantic relationships".
Amerys There's a reason I didn't pay much special attention to emotions. Our understanding of subjective experiences is always based on our own experiences because the only mind directly accessible to a person is their own. We can only make educated guesses about other's subjective experiences by observing their behavior, studying brain function etc. For instance, people who're born blind don't understand what colors are but can deduce from observations that there's something called "color" others can experience but they cannot. Jealousy is linked to the cultural view that you should only be in a "romantic" relationship with one person at a time but allowed, even encouraged, to be "friends" with several. This principle has exceptions: polyamory and other variations of nonmonogamy and in many cultures, polygamy. I can't think of an example of a person being against making more than one "friend". When it comes to different types of relationships in particular, I haven't actually noticed any actual observable qualitative difference in what words like "love", "emotional closeness" or "caring" mean in differently labelled relationships myself. I assume that by "infatuation", you mean something along these lines. I don't consider myself to have ever dated anyone and I haven't had sex. What I feel towards my parents and brothers, male friends and female friends doesn't actually feel qualitatively different. My relationship to my mother is the closest and is a lot more ambivalent than my relationships with my friends - still, what "emotional closeness" and "love" mean don't seem any different in either case. After googling about the topic, I've heard many people on the Internet express similar sentiments, most of whom consider themselves to have dated someone. Maybe most people do feel differently about their "friends" and "lovers" but even then, I think it's plausible we're simply culturally conditioned to think of them as somehow radically different and that's why they're experienced differently. I think the fact that there is sometimes significant disagreement about whether real/fictional people are just friends or lovers alone counts as evidence towards the view that those two aren't really all that different.
Well, if two people are really close friends, best buddy of all times, you feel all the love and emotional attachment stuffs but then you start to feel jealous when your friend talks to someone else, you're against the idea of your friend having a lover, you want to look good to your friend and then sometime your friend make your heart skips a beat. I'd say that this is the different between friendship and romantic love. The jealousy doesn't stem from cultural view but stems from people themselves that want the other to be his/her only, and because of that the friend zone isn't quite enough you may consider the dating option.
2:28 Oh John- I see ;) Suddenly the walls are looking interesting, eh? ;) Or is it the fact that you were trying to picture you instead of her ;) we already know what you're thinking.
around 11:20 there was the purple light in the buildings windows....just like the purple light in the window of the restaurant in the first episode when they where discussing if Sherlock was taken
+Yofija Jaifoy Sorry, sorry. I was referring to the commenters here who had their names set as actual anime characters. Although if there were indeed anime characters who did, I'd.................... Yup.
He wanted John to name his daughter sherlock so at least one person in the world would be named Sherlock Watson even if it wasn't him.

Sherlock is DEFINETLY in love with John. I just don't know if the feelings are as strong the other way around.
The only time I ever heard Sherlock deny having a partner is in the episode where he partners up with Molly for a day to solve a crime, was when someone thought that Molly was his girlfriend, he was like "pfft! I know asexuals are sorely unrepresented in media, and that's why so many aces are pushing that Holmes has always been ace, I do get that, but they need to find another character to get behind, because Sherlock got the rainbow really bad.
+Lillian Sunshine got the rainbow really bad XP
they're not gay. jon is aware some of their interactions may look gay while sherlock is probably aware yet doesn't care to mention it. he doesn't care how he is perceived as much. and i took the "no, no no" with Molly as just him being brutally honest. its not like she's hot. he does say her mouth is too small. also, relationships aren't his area, but that doesn't mean that penises are. yall are nasty lol
I just love how all of the female characters just KNOW
Savannah Aleksic FEMALES ALWAYS KNOW
Savannah Aleksic and lestrade.. But this is the same tbh
Massive bl fans
And “goodluck not being involved”. Oh my God.
Jade Loxar WHAT HAVE YOU DONE????!!! I always felt there was something weird with that sentence, NOW I FUCKING GET IT!!!
Ahem, about shipping Johnlock credit boys as well. Fanboys.
@@idontknow4966welcome to the dark side 😈🤣
Holy Shucks Guys, Moriarty won.
He burnt the heart out of Sherlock because when he faked his death he left John and John moved on with Mary. and when John got married Sherlock left the wedding early because JOHN WAS HIS FLIPPING HEART. JOHN MADE HIM FEEL JOHN KEPT HIM RIGGT SO WHEN HE LOST JOHN HE LOST HIS HEART AND IT GOT BURNED RIGHT OUT OF HIM AND JUST UGHHHH
._.
I know right. Took me long to realize this... Why did John have to marry???!!!
...Well shit
John is his ( sherlock's) compass, conscience, morals, feelings and compassion. Without him Sherlock is... can be a bit pychopathic
AAARGHHHH SHERLOCK SMILING REALLY BIG AND JOHN AND MARYS DANCE AND THEN THE SMILE SLOWLY SLIPPING FROM HIS FACE BREAKS MY HEART
tHAT SCENE MADE MY STOMACH HURT I WAS SO DEPRESSED//
iM dyINg *coughs up blood* UgH
Hurt. Emotions. Pain. Feels.
Oh god. The music in the background makes it soooo painfully perfect.
ranncarlos Thank you
+Make Me Believe OH MY GOSH YOUR PROFILE!!!!
"Amazing how fires expose our priorities."
MAN THE WAY YOU ARRANGED IT MADE THE MESSAGE SO STRONG OMG
"Priorities"
*proceeds to literally rip burning logs away from a bonfire to save his 'friend'*
Yesss! His pressure point
Oh my god.
Whoa what
it breaks my heart to see Sherlock being so sad and lonely in John's wedding.
So I guess Sherlock lying about being dead is the only way John will move on.
the eye sex is real!!!
almost as real as destiel ;)
SHOOSH DOES EVERYTHING lets form the bomds of friendship now!!
SHOOSH DOES EVERYTHING DESTIEL WILL ALWAYS BE REAL. JUST LIKE KELLIC.
I swear the eyesex should be censored
Right now I'm imagining a world where all our ships are actually happening, like Johnlock, Destiel... And I'm not sure if it's heaven or hell....
+ladycopine Oh my god. WHY D'YOU DO THIS TO ME.
+Eragon Aelendîl well one ship just became canon, Hannigram. Don't know if you watch it...
Johnlock needs to be real. REALLY NEEDS TO.
+Eragon Aelendîl haha yeah! but I don't think so, johnlock is more like a joke in the show not an actual romance.... but hey that's what fanfics are made for!
+ladycopine Don´t even get me started on Destiel XD i love this ships so much
Chapter 1. John flirting to Sherlock
Chapter 2. Sherlock jealous
Chapter 3. Sherlock flirting to John
Chapter 4. John jealous
Chapter 5. Sherlock and John falling in love
Chapter 6. John defending Sherlock
Chapter 7. Sherlock trying to confess his feelings (and regret because of Mary)
Chapter 8. Sherlock thinking he is loosing John
Chapter 9. John thinking he is loosing Sherlock
The abominable bride. Sherlock recovering John. John recovering Sherlock.
Mr. Holmes Yup that sums the whole show, well done.
Mr. Holmes Chapter 10: John got mad at Sherlock
Chapter 11: Sherlock is trying to get John back to his side
Chapter 12: Sherlock and John finally made up
Sherlock also said that the name Sherlock Watson could work
Alatariel Greenleaf when?
Sherlock Watson nice name ;)
Its just so obvious that Sherlock loves John ⌒.⌒
Yesh
Jesika Horvathova he's like a cat. He hates everyone but john cause john is the owner and the kitty loves the owner and no one else 😊
Jesika Horvathova he said that in the best mans speech
sadly it is not obvious for everyone....
C. D....... N sherlock was impressed by her cuz she outwitted him
There should be a Sherlock drinking game for every time John says 'I'm not gay' 'he's not my boyfriend' etc XD
Everyone is drunk in under 20 minutes.
+StormFang18
Lol yep
and for every time someone else thinks he and sherlock are together
They stare more than Bella and Edward in Twilight.
LOL YES
+Clara B THIS XD
Oh God! xD
+Clara B hahahahahaha Your comment made my day !! :D
+Clara B But not as much as Castiel and Dean.
Oh my god, the hardcore eye sex that they have on this show is fucking ridiculous
Ikr
"wanna see some more?"
"oh god yes"
this would just be taken way out of context!
You got that right mate
Welcome to Johnlock hell.
LOL I'm love with your comment because it's clear as water that we are in Johnlock hell, just take a look of all the comments above this one
SHIPPING WAR
I would hit the like button but it would ruin the perfect "69"
Thank you. Just entered. I will probably watch the series.
John: "I'm not actually gay."
Me: WHAT IN THE NAME OF SAURON?!
I need to like this a thousand times.. WHY CAN'T I? CURSE YOU RUclips
He's bi ;)
Your comment has made my day 😂😂
Seriously, a gay couple should cosplay them and make all of our wishes come true!
lol that is what misha collins does with destiel. get the cas and dean cosplayers to make out for his amusement.
+moonrockers1962 I know right! Very often it's two girls or a guy and a girl. It's just not the same. Come one, guys, where are you?
There is a video of the actual actors kissing. Fuck the cosplayers, we have the real thing!
+Emily Wright What on earth are you talking about??
where
I've never watched this show and y'all are telling me they're not gay together um
they will be lmao
S4 kiss here we come
+Cas Wings yep can't wait 😝
Cas Wings IS THAT CONFIRMED?
Michaela A THERE WAS AN I LOVE YOU IN THE TRAILER AND IT BETTER BE ADDRESSED TO JOHN!!!
They need to kiss...... they really really really need to kiss
I would scream out of pure joy
This is why i read Johnlock fanfiction (i suggest a study in love)
Fandom Gurl I STARTED READING IT AND DIDN'T STOP FOR 4 HOURS THANKS TO YOU
Ugh now I just have to read it too dammit.
+Fandom Gurl I just searched for it on fanfiction.net and there are like 6 different stories with that name (5 of them johnlock). Do you know the name of the author?
it makes me sad how Sherlock's 'pressure point' is John, but John's isn't Sherlock :(
Yeess 😢😢
Caitlin Silas This hurts....so bad
i'm sure sherlock is just another pressure point, just perhaps not the main one
I know it made me sad
0:53 "I don't mind"
You don't mind? I don't mind either! Go right ahead!
I've always found Johnlock shippers a bit annoying and off-base since John and the writers keep insisting they're not a couple, but I have to say having re-watched series 1-3 recently as well as this video I'm starting to think I may have misread the subtext...and besides, it's not like the writers haven't lied before
Ok I just watched the 'Are They Gay?' video of these two and now I'm definitely starting to understand the Johnlock vibes, I guess I was wrong
Jessica Lines I read a quote from one of the creators that said they purposefully lie about what will happen on the show to keep things unexpected.
Toxic Wolf So there's hope? ;)
One it was John saying they were not a couple of Sherlock didn't I did nothing and second of all John only said they weren't a couple he never said that he didn't love him.
I searched up if they are a couple on Google and it said that the writer said that they will never be a couple but they do like to lie so🤷🏻♀️
I SHIP THEM SO HARD. But like why would the writers have all these hints with everyone around them believing they are gay if they were not planning on making them gay? COME ON, WRITERS. I BELIEVE IN YOU.
***** TRILLIE WAS THE FIRST SHIP I EVER SHIPPED!
Hahaha I agree
SAINT JIMMY COMING DOWN
Anna Walker ACROSS THE ALLEYWAY
q u e e r b a i t i n g
I think ever since Moffat and Gatiss found out about Johnlock and how many people loved it, they made the body language more distinct and the stares 2x longer just to tease us. They like to watch us squirm under all this Johnlock subtext.
I've never seen an episode of Sherlock in my life (don't ask why this was recommended to me, I don't know either,) but it's plainly obvious how canon these two are. I wish my OTPs had this much 'evidence' to back them up! Haha.
Oh wow it's norway
Mrinalini Person - Correct.
Lmao
10:22 "John and Mary"
My head shot up and I'm like "SUPERNATURALLLL"
NickieAndIzzy - Geeky Experts Oh my god how did I never notice this?
I NOTICED THIS AFTER WATCHING SHERLOCK 5 TIMES XD I WAS LIKE "HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS?! OMG!!!!!" lol
+NickieAndIzzy - Geeky Experts OMG
+Nickie & Izzy John Winchester was a military man, John Watson was a military man...both Marys *coughdiescough* before their husbands....and you know...Sherlock has a...loveable awkwardness about him, much like a certain angel.. :D (not to mention they both watch the bees)
Jen W YAAAASSSSS
When John said, "Girlfriend? " and Sherlock was like,"Not really my area." I almost died
"Because you chose her"
My heart was not ready :(
I love John's disgusted looks when Sherlock got a girlfriend🤣
and then when john was with his commander (who sherlock assumed was his ex) Sherlock was the definition on jealousy.
"The stuff you wanted to say, but didn't" omg 😭😭😭
Can we all just agree that Sherlock is a raging homosexual and john Watson is a feisty bisexual
Personally I am in rather a strange position becuase I half ship them but also Sherlock is sooo canonically aroace
The only way this show will get even better is if they'd actually end up together because CMON
When I watch Sherlock, I'm like "Bilbo and Smaug", but when I watch LoTR, I'm like "Sherlock and Watson"!
Kuro Shinigami you mean the Hobbit
oh yeah... i put both series under LotR though
4:57 Sherlock finds army John a little sexy and is probably thinking about new role playing themes
You are sending me to dark imaginative places 😂😂
Well, they WERE playing 'Doctors and Nurses' at one point.... ; )
+Bluey
Oh my gosh....that PINOF 6 blooper reference though...I'm trash, I'm so sorry..
XxPsychoInterestsxX Dw I live in the trashcan too
IM LITERALLY LAUGHING BECAUSE HOW DO PEOPLE NOT SHIP JOHNLOCK THEY ARE LITERALLY COMPETING WITH PHAN FOR NO.1 LOVE EYES COUPLE (runner up stucky)
For real 😂❤️
STUCKYYY
Yup
Mia Jones you forgot about joshler, Larry and drarry
Mia Jones destiel❤
aaaaaaaah I ship it so hard why can't it be canon
April Yates it will be ^^
Anna Baumann WHEN
Michaela A don't despair omg
Anna Baumann I need it now lmao.
Michaela A then I suggest you watch TJLC explained ;)
Wow and I thought Destiel had awkward staring. This is so much worse
IT WAS FUNNY AND THEN IT WAS SAD AND THEN IT WAS FUNNY AND THEN IT WAS SAD AND THEN IT WAS FUNNY AND THEN IT WAS SAD. MAKE UP YO MIND xD
+Anna Scholle That's the whole freaking show. One moment you're laughing your ass off and the next moment you're crying your eyes out.
Random Psycho True... xD
seeing Sherlock leave Johns wedding always kills me because just like Sholto, there was a knife. I knife that John couldn't see. Johns wedding was a battle for sherlock because he is absolutely in love with John and he can't stand seeing his soulmate marry another person
youve decoded sir arthur conan doyles early gay rights essay which he had to disguise as a mystery series for the conservative british government good job but youre not safe now
***** I love this.
The mystery is, was it ever a mystery or was it so obvious that we just missed it?
C'mon! This ship is more cannon than my life!
Omfg me thought
John kept saying he wasn't gay... But he never said he wasn't bi.
When they then talk about “we can’t all 3 dance, there are limits” John goes off with Mary to dance and jokes about when him and Sherlock were practicing the waltz, in a ‘haha two men dancing together’ kinda way (his defence mechanism)
Then Sherlock nods to Mary like he’s passing John over to her ‘take care of him’ and then has to shake himself out of what he’s just been feeling- goddamn 😭
When I watched this video, something clicked. In season 1, Moriarty warned Sherlock "I'll burn the heart of you", in which he replied that he don't have a heart (foolish human) and Moriarty responded with "We both know that's not quite true, you know, you've got John."
So what if the possibility that John's near burned to death experience was in reference to this threat.
-"Yes you are" -"Who the hell knows about Sherlock Holmes, but if anyone out there still cares I'm not actually gay" -"Well I am [gay], look at us both[we both love Sherlock, even if I'm gay and you are straight, it doesnt matter]" and John doesnt respond anymore but makes a little "Oh [so thats how it is]"
Brenda MorrisN Well I guess I was the only one who was slow to the draw.
no its actually what it means
Why Mary should exist. JUST MARRY SHERLOCK ALREADY GOD DAMMIT JOHN
she will die in season 4. I HOPE because johnlock has to become real😆
+Klavier Gavin I agree! Johnlock should win😍 And i think it will be not a son but a daugther
Maybe John and Sherlock will raise her together, she will have two dads.
Mary exists (or existed) because they're trying to stay as close to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's version as possible. Johnlock will never happen, and we all know that.
Dear god when it's all put together like this it's just ridiculous how obvious it is
The amount of times that they are staying at each other and then John looks at Sherlock's lips... Moffat is intentionally doing this, and it hurts to know they both have feelings for the other, but are both too freaking stubborn to admit it. Damn you, Moffat. Damn you.
I'm laughing so hard but I'm also screaming JUST NOTICE JOHN FOR GOD'S SAKE!!
Emily Janet this made me laugh 😂
"Gay Subtext in Supernatural" would be a billion hours long
Yes
Jupp :D I'd watch it
I can clear a couple weeks off my schedule for that.
99.9999999% of the video would just be Dean and CAs starting at each other.
And could we all just add that Sherlock would do literally ANYTHING for John? I mean he killed a man for his sake because he knew that John would be hurt if Mary was hurt! True love! JOHNLOCK IS REAL!!
and apparently i'm johnlock trash **sigh**
+some reader AND ALSO WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF DYING HE WAS THINKING ABOUT JOHN OKAY OKAY I'M NOT OKAY **cries**
I had to stop the video a few times... I can barely breathe lol this is so intense
The ship just sails itself. You don't even have to add anything
I laughed at 4:32 where Sherlock says "a lie that's preferable to the truth" and then cutting to John with the perfect response. Great video :)
There have been so many scenes when they should have kissed
All that said though I ship it harder than grass and dirt. I need it to become cannon. Did you hear that series four is gonna have a tragedy in it. I'm hoping that a divorce between Mary and John and then Johnlock becomes cannon!!
YEEESS
Mary will die.
I'm hoping Mary dies..
+Naindru when is series 4 coming out?
dappled_dreams who knows~ I hope it comes out before one of them dies.
Sherlock may be the sociopath/asexual one, but John is definitely the sexually repressed one
just saying, he's more autistic than sociopathic
Who's ready for the kiss in S4?
Cas Wings is there a season 4!?
Cas Wings THERE'S GONNA BE A JOHNLOCK KISS IN SEASON 4??
There will be! My money is on episode 3 :p Check out Rebekah's TJLC Explained videos on the You Tube here and you won't doubt anymore ;) **Scar voice** Be prepareeeed!!!
Lizzie Yes!! This!! I am 100% certain johnlock is a go, and it's definitely thanks to Rebs. She's amazing!! Can't wait for her analysis of TST. :)
She is amazing I agree! Also really hoping she's going to make more vids after s4 has aired ^ ^ To avoid dying of anticipation, Imma make me some elelphant-shaped confetti now hehe ;D
With your Cheekbones and turning up your collar so you look cool
Noodle Squad Why did he even noticed them that way? Especially the cheekbones. I think he found Sherlock with the cheekbones and that collar up thing attractive.. I don't think for example Lestrade would pay attention on those things.
Escapistier because the writer for that episode is Mark Gatiss. He ships them !! Lol 😂
YOU LOOK SAD WHEN YOU THINK HE CAN'T SEE YOU :'( WHY DO I FANGIRL SO MUCH OVER THEM!!!
I'm crying....The wedding part makes me cry....
The gay subtext was used as satire for all the fangirls and fanboys
that obsess over every single action and line said in movies/TV-
shows to make it all a some sort of gay conspiracy.
They didn't put any subtext in as satire... they said that.
Moffat and Gatiss have said the subtext is because modern society would immediately assume that two men living together are gay. check their interviews on the BBCWorldwide channel.
Wow, you're all so naïve XD
Until I see actual confessions or passionate kisses, I just see a good business tactic to keep the fangirls and fanboys watching.
John:Im nOT gay
The woman: Yes you are
john: shit i guess so
"It's always you. John Watson, you keep me right." is honestly one of my favourite lines from Sherlock 🙏
Sanulay What about infatuation and Jealousy?
The thing is, many people consider they are lovers just because they are dating. the love they feel maybe very similar to friendship with attraction.
They know most people around them aren't homophobic, they fear eachothers reactions on being asked out rather than people knowing they're a couple.
2:28
Oh John- I see ;) Suddenly the walls are looking interesting, eh? ;) Or is it the fact that you were trying to picture you instead of her ;) we already know what you're thinking.
this tvshow has changed the way I watch tvshows
around 11:20 there was the purple light in the buildings windows....just like the purple light in the window of the restaurant in the first episode when they where discussing if Sherlock was taken
Ok, I should stop reading comments. I still need my heart
this is one hell of a detail
Sherlock Watson i love your profile pic btw
We even have anime characters shipping JohnLock. So please, be more than just a subtext.
+Lewej1 whoooooooo????? O o O )
what anime does this? chacters and episode, please... you got me curious. :D
+Yofija Jaifoy
Sorry, sorry. I was referring to the commenters here who had their names set as actual anime characters.
Although if there were indeed anime characters who did, I'd.................... Yup.
+Lewej1
I was hoping this was a thing. lol awww...
Oops....CX
I love the fact that Watson called him a machine in one of the episodes 😂
When Sherlock says he has a girlfriend... john dies on the inside
I love how most of this video is Jealous John lmao they're so in love it's ridiculous
*Sherlock and John running for their lives from the police*
Me: THEY ARE HOLDING HANDSSSSSSS *faints*
I'm not sure it's subext when it's spoken this loudly and clearly.
