How many players should be for exempel in the central zon, can we have two players in the Wide zon for exempel LB and LW or should the LB be in the Wide zon and the LW in the halv space zon or versa . can you please explain positional play system whicj both Pep and Tuchel use ? with regard Belal
Hi Belal. It's all about being at appropriate distances. So if you're just using the 5 vertical zones then yes you can have more than 1 player in a zone. When approaching the final third it is best to have at least 1 player in each of the 5 zones. There are situations when 2 can be in each zone, but this will allow the opposition to mark them easier. The better zones to look at is Pep Guardiola's additions to the 5 vertical zones. It's towards the end of the video. This allows the players to appreciate distances better
