As suggested, here is an orchestral arrangement of the overworld theme from the original Golden Sun!

➤ Analysis:
One of the great overworld themes from Golden Sun, this track heavily travels around familiar territory through its use of primarily the tonic (I - C major), the subdominant (IV - F major) and dominant (V - G major) chords, with an occasional transition to the relative minor (vi - A minor), such as at 0:36. Otherwise, there is not much else to analyse!
For the arrangement, I decided to augment the triumphant/adventurous aesthetic, but at the same time allowing a few "not-quite-as-loud" moments to give a brief respite for the ear, for example, the opening at 0:03, and at 0:36, which dies down slightly before growing once more at 0:51.
I added a few additional counter-melodies to flesh out the harmony, such as in the trombones and violas of 0:51 and the 2nd violins of 1:05.

The score was created in Sibelius 7.5, and the audio was created in Cubase using the brilliant EastWest sample libraries.

We need a Remake of this game and Golden Sun 2 as if it were a single game. It would be great if monsters were all over the map like Dragon Quest XI. And above all with an orchestrated soundtrack just like this one. It's perfect, very good work and a lot of nostalgia.
The goddamned nostalgia right here. Venturing out from Vale to Vault, to the northern reaches of Imil and the Kolima woods to save Bilblin and Kolima. Down through the Altin mines and into Kalay. Crossing the Karagol and fighting in Colosso before departing for Babi and Venus lighthouses. The journey across Angara and northern Gondowan will always stick with me
I just replayed it all last week - and boy, did that nostalgia hit me hard!
A Golden Sun remake with botw style and music like this. Only in our dreams XD
Im sure in Motoi Sakuraba's heart, he would do the remake of Golden Sun series himself if that was his department. Now he can only wait and hope like the rest of us for a Golden Sun remake or Dark Dawn sequel.

I am tempted to do a couple of themes from Dark Dawn at some point, though most of those are already orchestral arrangements (from Sakuraba himself!)

When I hear this theme, I recall the moment when Isaac & Garet left Vale for the Journey.
Three dots appearing slowly over Isaac and then them both walking away from Vale... to find themselves on a Big Road.
Isaac seems smaller, everythings looks bigger, strangely unusual. And this music starts. Just to accompany us until the rest of the great journey (tor even until the rest of our lives, for some of us... :) ).

I can't help but appreciate how hard this game went with its music, despite being a GBA game. It didn't have to be as epic as it was, considering the system limitations, but it did. And I always have and always will love it.
It feels so nice to hear the whole song, in-game the random encounters make it impossible to play and hear at the same time.

Thank you so much for this and your other gorgeous orchestral arrangements of Golden Sun music! As the first two games just came out on the Switch, I've been playing through them for the first time in years and I've fallen in love with them all over again. Your work really captures and enhances the spirit of the music. There needs to be another Golden Sun game and it needs to sound like this!
Dude... The horns you added at 0:29 get me every time. I listen to this entire playlist pretty much every day while at work and every time I hear that part I get chills. I mentioned in another one of your videos how good you are at making little additions that help to emphasize certain parts of a song and this is an excellent example of that. Love your style man, keep up the awesome work!

Been listening to this arrangement of the GS world map theme again, it's awesome! Actually this particular version reminds me even more of the first field theme in Tales of Zestiria - "The Exciting First Journey", in terms of orchestral palette: ruclips.net/video/AR_NnuU1ICA/видео.html
