Great live performance! Kraftwerk has always been a "live band", especially on their 1981 and 1991 tours... they played their music despite all the clichees about using pre-recorded tapes.. just listen to the live versions here... "Autobahn" in an extended version with additional (improvised?) lyrics, naming a lot of european cities.. also very funny... "heute gestern morgen auf der Autobahn.. es geht schon nicht mehr anders nur noch Autobahn... täglich 4 Stunden auf der Autobahn.. immer wieder immer wieder Autobahn... " :-) And "Showroom Dummies" here sounds like Kraftwerk on Speed... Ralf does a lot of announcements, too, including "was ist los? why are you not dancing?" ... just timeless magic
The Three Mile Island accident had happened two years earlier. The song's new anti-nuclear sentiment was starting to form. It just wasn't until after "Tschernobyl" that they went full force in that direction
