I was expecting them, too. Even really obscure Superman villains like Bloodsport, Conduit and Massacre could work in a Superman movie, if they're done right and by the right people but it's unlikely that we would ever see them in a Superman movie since we have yet to see all of those other Superman villains you named.
At least we have TV: it's given us lave action versions of Prankster, Toyman, Intergang, Parasite, Metallo, Baron Sunday, Silver Banshee, Brainiac, The Toastmasters, Mxyzptlk...
Nice list (a bit obscure). But if there were any 5 Superman villains who deserve better treatment (and who should be introduced on the big screen) it should be *Parasite, Livewire, Silver Banshee, Metallo,* and *The Elite.* Heck, I'd add *Mongul* and *Brainiac* to the mix too.
Agreed. I still like the idea of Faora becoming Superman's Joker, though . . . She was the most competent of the Phantom Zone criminals back in the Silver Age.
+JazzyZenBrotha Brainiac appears over and over again in comics, TV shows, video games, and cartoons, so it's shocking that he hasn't appeared in any Superman movie yet, unless you count Max Landis's epic Death and Return of Superman pitch. He's a true global threat but way easier to explain than Darkseid, yet we're getting Doomsday before Brainiac. Unless Brainiac is the hidden villain in BvS like Thanos was in Avengers. That could totally be a possibility.
chendaddy - I completely agree with you. It's indeed very shocking that we haven't seen *Brainiac* in a live action Superman film. I read that he was supposed to be the villain in *Superman III* but they ended up going with a generic Lex Luthor rip-off and a generic super-computer. That's too bad. I suppose it will be nice if *Brainiac* is a hidden villain in *Batman V Superman.* But my only problem with that is that casual viewers will probably think Brainiac is a Batman villain or a Justice League villain, when in reality he is a Superman-villain first and foremost. This is why I wish Superman could've gotten his own trilogy so audiences will see epic Superman villains aside from Luthor and Zod.
definitely a good list. I wouldn't mind seeing DC use the Toyman as well as Brainiac some more as well as Mr. mxyzptlk and the ones that you have mentioned to plague Superman instead of always relying on Luthor, Zod, Darkseid, Bizarro, and Doomsday almost constantly.
Rob Senzig DC should make new villains for Superman to replace his old villains like Lex Luthor for example Villains that are powerful as he is and have an evil goal or plan Batman's villains are very interesting and have clear goals Superman's villains are very uninteresting and have no goals in comparison Brainiac actually has goals unlike most of Superman's rouges gallery
Toyman does everything that Prankster does but is a far better character. This video feels more like "let's get a bunch of silver age goofy characters and claim they are underrated"
LORDUnLuCkY13 prankster did copyright the English language toyman never used the law to his advantage. I think there's a lot you could do with that prankster is now a lawyer that defends criminals he will twist the law to suit himself. Also he is his weakest villain with is cool I kinda want a normal human to get a win against superman lex and toyman aren't normal there way above average in some regards
+Stephen Suggs If DC/Warner Bros. weren't going for a more realistic approach in their movies, I could see Funny Face being antagonist. Faora as well, considering that she wasn't killed in MoS but, they have to turn down the man-hating and probably skirt around the whole concentration camp aspect.
+Donzy213 That's why this list is corny and pathetic as fuck.....all those monstrosities are basically comic relief type of shit, and don't deserve to be on the big screen. People destroy such movies left and right.
+Donzy213 Seriously a cowboy on a flying horse? A cooler version of that would basically be Lobo....a bounty hunter on a huge metal-clad space bike. And Dracula wannabe?....A better version of that would be Vandal Savage, a caveman who become an immortal mastermind from exposure to a meteorite.
Stephen Suggs Nahh, this day and age....that gimmick you are suggesting with Faora would get stale and despised very quickly. And its actually a big fear many people have with the Wonder Woman movie possibly going in that direction. Just telling a cohesive and entertaining story would be enough.....over-doing it on any culture or political message would be the wrong move. DC movies are grim as it is.... -_-
+Vindicator73 "People destroy such movies left and right." No need character with potential like in the list to do that, Warner Bros does it very well.
Conduit. Kenny Braverman grew up in Smallville was exposed to kryptonite long before Smallville did it to everyone on TV. He was a rival of Clark's in high school, & always came up short in competitions. He later began to mutate. His skin began to grow cables which contained pure kryptonite.
Am I the only one who noticed Jon Morris's art on here? That is awesome. Maybe we'll see these villains in his new book Legion of Regrettable Super Villains, the companion book to League of Regrettable Superheroes
John Rydbom You're right!! I got my -sters mixed up. Pinchot was great for that part!! You know all these -sters are the same, super annoying. Pranksters, Tricksters, Hipsters...:)
Top 5 Underused Captain America Villains Top 5 Underused Iron Man Villains Top 5 Underused Green Arrow Villains Top 5 Underused G.I. Joe Characters Top 5 Underused Thor Villains Top 5 Underused Hulk Villains Top 5 Underused Ant-Man Villains Top 5 Underused Teen Titans Villains Top 5 Underused Fantastic Four Villains Top 5 Underused Transformers Characters
Not one single character other than Faora, who has appeared in later comics and the new superman movie, is worth bringing back or portraying on the big screen. Not one. Faora was the only one worth mentioning and she can still come back in later movies.
Auron1Roxas2 a movie with prankster and toyman as the main characters on a mission to defeat superman would be a funny underdog story. It would be like dumb and dumber.
The prankster! is to much like Mr. Myxlplyx. I really don't get Terra-Man, Transsylvine or Funnyface as Superman villains but if we ever get a Rip Hunter comic Terra-Man v Rip Hunter needs to happen and your ideer about Faora needs to happen. Some of my favorite Superman villains are the guys from Intergang and when they somethings make Mr. Myxlplyx a bit Sinister then just funny, I really like him to.
So you mean to tell me Faora isn't the type of character who would let a person she knows she can snap like a twig crash a ship and kill her? Although let's hope that guy becomes Captain Atom.
Where is Composite Superman who was 4x as strong as Superman (Superboy, Supergirl, Mon-el, and Ultra-Boy) and had the powers of the entire Legion of Super Heroes.
1967 DC Comic did not own the rights to Captain Marvel also known as Shazam so that have to make a cameo copy of it his name is zhavam . they bought the rights to Shazam in 1973 DC own the rights to Shazam
These are under used for a reason. Manchester Black is a good villain. Superman's villains being silly is an effrontery to his determination and heroic nature. I'm afraid this list is clown shoes.
brandon muse funny face is cool he has the power to turn cartoons to life. By higher dimension tech. There was a comic were the imps were granting wishes they could have given him the tech. You could have a story were he reads a doctor who book and pulls the darleks out of it to fight superman or goku funny face could pick up a manga and make goku jump out of it or monsters from a horror. Apart from the imps this guy is supermans strongest villain. Prankster is good supermans weakest villain also the most average normal man in his villains gallery
I Was Expecting Metallo, Livewire, Parasite, Bizarro, characters who arent as popular as Luthor & Zod but are worth spending money on.
Are you kidding?
They all appeared on Superman The Animated Series.
The ones you listed are nowhere as underused as these characters.
Thing is livewire is practically exclusive to the animated series. Parasite and Bizzaro are infamous though.
I was expecting them, too. Even really obscure Superman villains like Bloodsport, Conduit and Massacre could work in a Superman movie, if they're done right and by the right people but it's unlikely that we would ever see them in a Superman movie since we have yet to see all of those other Superman villains you named.
don't forget WRAITH, Toymaster, Archer, Volcana, the Claw, Intergang, Queen Bee, Mercy Graves, Beladonna, Infernum Manchester Black, Amazing Grace, Karnuk, Cyborg Superman and Doomsday
and Ultra-Humanite
At least we have TV: it's given us lave action versions of Prankster, Toyman, Intergang, Parasite, Metallo, Baron Sunday, Silver Banshee, Brainiac, The Toastmasters, Mxyzptlk...

Metallo needs way, way more love than he's gotten in . . . forever.
+JazzyZenBrotha WE NEED BRAINIAC IN MAN OF STEEL 2!
A variation of Terra Man appeared in the Legion of Super Heroes cartoon
I can see why most of these villains have been so underused.... they're ridiculous.
Toyman is menacing tho in Lex Luthor: Man of Steel
definitely a good list.
Rob Senzig
DC should make new villains for Superman to replace his old villains like Lex Luthor for example
Villains that are powerful as he is and have an evil goal or plan
Batman's villains are very interesting and have clear goals
Superman's villains are very uninteresting and have no goals in comparison
Brainiac actually has goals unlike most of Superman's rouges gallery
In case you're wondering, Grant Morrison's underwear reads "Worship Here."
Toyman does everything that Prankster does but is a far better character.

The cartoon illustrations you've got here are cool.
I can definitely see Terraman and Prankster showing up in Young Justice Outsiders
patrick mcguire prankster should be lex's lawyer that would fit well.
Funny Face and Faora have some real potential.

No need character with potential like in the list to do that, Warner Bros does it very well.
Took me a while to figure out that Terra Man called himself that like ah old-time cowboy would call himself The Pecos Kid.
I love classci Faora and Terra Man ; the space cowboy who rode his winged horse Nova.
Conduit. Kenny Braverman grew up in Smallville was exposed to kryptonite long before Smallville did it to everyone on TV. He was a rival of Clark's in high school, & always came up short in competitions. He later began to mutate. His skin began to grow cables which contained pure kryptonite.
They had a character like Funny Face on Charmed. They had a kid who could draw superheroes and conjure them
Am I the only one who noticed Jon Morris's art on here? That is awesome. Maybe we'll see these villains in his new book Legion of Regrettable Super Villains, the companion book to League of Regrettable Superheroes
Brainiac would be cool. Indigo AKA Brainiac 8 was just on Supergirl! Also Transilvan is pretty cool!
I thought I was gonna see Lobo 5 times but even I have to admit smiley in a major film would be my dream.
More like "Top 5 Unknown superman villains"
Dude, what about Aleister Hook? That villain is badass and underrated as fuck.
Funny Face showed up one more time in Superman Family # 219
Prankster showed up on The Flash tv show. Played by Mark Hamill which means he played two maniacal villains who use jokes or pranks.
+Paul Robison Actually that was the trickster, a different prank themed villain that has always been a flash villain
That was Trickster.
Prankster does however appear on the Lois & Clark TV Show, played by Bronson Pinchot.
John Rydbom You're right!! I got my -sters mixed up. Pinchot was great for that part!!
You know all these -sters are the same, super annoying. Pranksters, Tricksters, Hipsters...:)
That was Trickster!! But! You are right! Prankster does make cameo appearances in the show who's played be Jesse Raid!
I agree with your shots at Luther and zod. I could make five superman movies and could easilly skip those two for the whole series
Top 5 Underused Captain America Villains
Top 5 Underused Iron Man Villains
Top 5 Underused Green Arrow Villains
Top 5 Underused G.I. Joe Characters
Top 5 Underused Thor Villains
Top 5 Underused Hulk Villains
Top 5 Underused Ant-Man Villains

Master Jailer needs more attention he's the only vill I've seen who has a legit reason to hate superman
Every super man villain besides lex Luther is underused
These aren't the droids you've been looking for
lol where the heck did you all get that picture of Grant Morrison.
+Clint Guidry My personal collection.
StudioInkblot Cool. He's great.
Clint Guidry Yeah he is ;)
Funny Face is amazing.
Is Toyman on any of the lists He did not even make an honorable mention on best of Supes villians or underused.
What he really ment:
1. Livewire
2. Mongul
3. Mettalo
4. Maxima
5. Omac
My list would be-
1- Gog
2- Faora
3- Manchester Black
4- Mongul
5- Parasite
So you mean to tell me Faora isn't the type of character who would let a person she knows she can snap like a twig crash a ship and kill her?
Although let's hope that guy becomes Captain Atom.
Where is Composite Superman who was 4x as strong as Superman (Superboy, Supergirl, Mon-el, and Ultra-Boy) and had the powers of the entire Legion of Super Heroes.
Is this the list of Superman's crappiest villains?
Depends on how you define crappy.
I always thought Doomsday was a crappy villain, compared to, say, Terraman.
+John Rydbom Perspective
That was a very vague and cryptic answer, but okay.
yes
who do the art, please do this in all future videos
What about Amalak the Kryptonian killer?
toy man? livewire?
Terra Man looks like Vigalante
loophole is my favourite too
I can understand why Dc don't use those villains, cuz they are all sucky ass ideas, except Faora, nothing wrong with her
1967 DC Comic did not own the rights to Captain Marvel also known as Shazam so that have to make a cameo copy of it his name is zhavam . they bought the rights to Shazam in 1973 DC own the rights to Shazam
I really like funny face if you guys could let me all you know about him it would be greatly appreciated
Number 5 discount joker
no LOBO?
No shit Funny Face is underused. He only had one appearance.
brainaic should be in movies I think done right he would be better then ultron.
These are under used for a reason. Manchester Black is a good villain. Superman's villains being silly is an effrontery to his determination and heroic nature.
I'm afraid this list is clown shoes.
BRAINIAC?!
I'd rather see Earthman
boo. I am glad the losers are forgotten.
WHERE👏IS👏SILVER👏BANSHEE👏
maxima
furiosa is such a feminist
All of em were lame except faora
Most of these characters are lame. Superman needs new villains.
brandon muse funny face is cool he has the power to turn cartoons to life.
Daragh O'kane Yea! prankster seems more like a Green Arrow villain than a Superman rogue!
toy man? livewire?
