Hope you’re feeling better! Tasha, you decorate to my taste. Everything is so beautiful. We’re empty nesters so I just put out a few things like pottery but because I’m a grandma I place a green wooden bowl full of various size faux pumpkins on my coffee table. My granddaughter loves to hand them out to everyone. I bought myself 3 new black lanterns for Christmas like yours. They cost $180. I have 2 on my hearth. I do have a sheath of wheat that stands and it really adds to the decor. I love the leaf tray! Keep on doing your style. It’s so relaxing to me. Take care, Jan
Those lanterns! 😍 What a deal!!! I love all the soft touches of fall, I love that you painted the leaves to tone down the color, that is an excellent idea! You have such a good eye for decorating and creating!
This is the first time I have watched your channel. I love your subtle touches for fall. Just like you, I have decided to not have too many pumpkins in my decor and used other items to say "fall" quietly. Your voice is very soothing to listen to as well. Glad I found you!
I Loved this video!! I got so many ideas. I typically don’t enjoy fall decor videos but I love how you added subtle touches of fall that enhanced the beauty of your home without going too far. Absolutely gorgeous❤❤️❤️.
Thank you so much! I always used to say "I don't decorate for fall" because some of the more mainstream decorations just don't appeal to me. Now I enjoy these light touches.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL FOR AWHILE BECAUSE I LOVE TO THRIFT AND I JUST LOVE YOUR CREATIVITY WITH YOUR THIRFT ITEMS AND I'M GLAD THAT I FINALLY SUBSCRIBED
Beautiful Tasha. Your diys are always so elegant and budget friendly. Your home looks so well thought out. I would love to see a home tour when you are done decorating for fall.
Loved everything....I like to slowly gravitate into the seasons and always neutral. I need to try the painting the leaves hack! brilliant idea. I, too, love the verse you shared. You are such a lovely and positive person....so refreshing.
YOU ARE JUST SO SMART--you have such a good eye for decorating! I thought I was the only one who painted my faux flowers and leaves to suit my color palette--often the fall colors are just too bright for me and I am happier with muted colors. I love your way of creating little vignettes around your home! And the items you have picked up here and there at a fraction of the cost of retail is amazing! I especially love the large bow shaped plate with leaf veining--a stunning piece, so natural and so expensive looking! Loved your video as I was just scrolling and relaxing, and in the mood for the change of Fall season quickly approaching! Thank You for making my day!
I would never have thought of doing a paint wash on faux leaves. I will definitely be trying that with some outdated fall decor stashed in my attic. Thank you!
Nicely done! I too am phasing out the old tradition fall looks to something more esthetically organic. Painting the foliage is a great idea to repurpose. Looks like I’m going to be breaking out the paints! I already prepared myself to paint my orange pumpkins but the foliage didn’t seem too tedious. I’ve always heard the term, shop in your own home, so if it takes a little tweaking, I’m all for it. I’m a new subscriber so looking forward to more!❤
I agree--if I can tweak something I already own and it gets me the look I want, perfect! I love to mix used, vintage, and new, and although it's a process, I think that's how you end up with a curated, high end feel. Thanks so much for watching; glad to have you following along!
Tasha ... I truly love your style!! I love how you alter items {like leaves in faux stems} with a bit of paint & make them look more realistic ...I may steal your idea & do that very thing to some stems that I have here that I was on the verge of getting rid of because the colors just weren't working for me. Thank you so much for the inspiration ... have a blessed week!!
Thank you so much! This was the first time I've done a "chocolate wash"--if I may coin a term--but I thought it worked great. I did it on some too-bright red eucalyptus stems as well and it darkened them into a lovely muted burgundy.
Hey Tasha 👋 I have the exact black lanterns , I got mine at Walmart for pretty cheap, I have them on my stairs with flameless candles i❤ them ~ one I my best purchases! Love the lamp & the shade you thrifted & yes to the black vessel on the island . I paint my florals all the time too 🤎

Thanks, Tasha, very inspiring. I thought all American homes were full of bright pumpkins and written messages! So much for stereotyping! I love your toned down decor and good ideas. Thank you again.

Hello our beautiful Tasha..I hope you are doing well. I know what you mean about thinking of Fall. There is something about school starting and seeing it get darker a little earlier makes me think Fall is just around the corner. I love Fall , but winter comes after and I just don’t like the cold and the dark days. Since “meeting “ you I realized I tend to go over the top on every season so I am learning to rethink all my decor. I am going to cut way back on what I put out. I do have some subtle beautiful Fall pieces that are old that I got at estate sales. I love what you did with the lamp. I thought it was really nice, but you made it better. I never thought about painting too bright leaves. I hope to do some of that too with some of my Fall foliage. I did finally get a bunch of wheat for probably a dollar or less. I wonder if the ceramic bowl you thrifted is to make small cakes in? It reminds me of the tube cake pans that you make angel food cakes in. I love that piece. The lanterns were a steal. I loved that big Fall piece that Cherish has for such a high price. I have gotten so used to thrifting I don’t know if I could ever pay full price for decor or clothes. I got a Lands End cardigan that still had the 79.99 price tag for two dollars and fifty cents this weekend, along with four more clothing items …some were less than two dollars. This lady just shopped but lots of her clothes still had price tag on.. Tasha you are so talented and your videos are very informative but also very relaxing. I felt very wound up this evening so I worked outside moving tree limbs my husband cut…worked hard, but it was your video that relaxed me and made me feel like I can sleep. I appreciate your scripture verses too. Virtual hugs. ❤❤❤
Hi Rita! You must be the queen of estate sales! Funny enough as much as we go thrifting and yard saling I've only been to a handful of estate sales. I know they can be great but i think the atmosphere is often too stressful for me. Everyone lined up early and waiting and then racing around the house to get to whatever it is they're looking for, haha. 😂 You're probably used to it! I'm so so glad you enjoy these little videos. Have a wonderful week! 🤗👋🏼😊
I really enjoy your channel and I am always inspired to go Thrifting after I see one of your videos. Maybe I’ll start having luck at the thrift store but so far they have stuff that shouldn’t even be sold at dollar tree that’s more than dollar tree lol
Wonderful DIY’s I don’t normally watch DIY videos but yours was amazing and I don’t say that very often😉❣️ also just so you know your lanterns are not from Amazon they’re actually from Walmart I know because I just bought two and there’s a small detail that makes them different than the ones on Amazon. Thought you might know that and since you got the set of three as a designer and decorator for about 20 years, the third one would look great on the other side of the fireplace nestled in with the branches that you have there so that’s how you do the three of them do on one side and one on the other side and then something else on the other side and it was amazing👍, just a FYI😉❣️

Awesome Video!!!! It is amazing how "mute" colors bring calmess & peacefulness to a room. God Bless!!!

@@TashaatHomeAs a mother of 3, I used to hold one to things, just in case. Then I saw that video, I asked my oldest, he said to me, 'Mom, I'm not waiting to inherit your things, if I want something, I just go buy it.' I appreciate the honesty. 😊
