Really enjoyed your video. I saw Pumpkinhead as a kid when it was released. It’s still one of my favorite horror movies. Being from the southern US I can attest that there are a lot of old tales about witches living in swamps/ woods with creepy creatures at their call. This movie captured the atmosphere of those old stories perfectly.
There needs to be a Pumpkin-head movie where two people summon pumpkin head for revenge on each other causing it to get confused and go wild. Or someone conjurers a different demon forcing it too fight pumpkin to protect them resulting in evil fighting evil.
The comics sound pretty interesting and they even tried expanding pumpkinheads lore and heck atleast we got somewhat of a sorta miracle that the 3rd and 4th issue of the dark horse comics have been actually released in a form of one book as a bonus of a figure and I know I'm gonna have a tough time tracking that down once I actually start reading the comics and check out the rest of the movies in there entiredy
With all these Demons representing the 7 deadly sins, could it be possible that Pumpkinhead is the demon that represents Wrath. Because wrath is essentially some form of vengeance.
Yep. Vengeance is just one manifestation of wrath (and a very common one)... interesting that they didn't expand on that in the comics, since the other demons were referred to by the exact name of a cardinal sin, not one of its aspects.
An absolute classic. An underrated gem, of course all the sequels suck, but I really did enjoy the limited comic series you were talking about here. It should have definitely received a big screen adaptation.
I love Pumpkinhead. I remember watching it when I was like 13 and thinking how cool the demon looked. As I got older, I appreciate it even more as the film (the first one, of course) is quite well told as a story. Very rich in set design too. The way this is narrated makes it a little unclear. Kincade, after bursting into green flame, does turn into the next body for Pumpkinhead, that's what Haggis walks off with. We didn't retcon anything, it just seems a little unclear given the way they narrated the story.
