A sacrificial (white) tarp overtop ‘might’ be a consideration to extend the life indefinitely. Color choice would depend on whether you want the solar gain or not, the color of the shelter logic tarp is a solar magnet.
I have tried the white tarp it was a pain in the butt. for the 160 bucks and me being short on time I thought this was the next best. I was planning on doing a steel roof. but was short on time so in 4 years. steel it will be. thanks for the comment.

@@jake22-1 4 years isn’t too bad either… some of these shelters are only last half that long.
Is it good for the horse to have ventilation?
Yes especially in the summer. It is more for strong wind and rain.
