The edgeguard design is like the old school curved edge recessed lake country pads pads but evolved much further. Only thing they need to do now is bring out more versatile foams and reduce the range of foam grades. Thats where foam i believe is going towards in the future and what i am pushing my european manufacturers to do for me when I buy direct. but I'll still get a set of buff and shine's too. I've already seen rupes and Meguiar's go to just three foams though the future foams will be way more versatile than those foams. My top three pads of the edgeguard range are the maroon, the blueberry (which is very similar to my blue universal foam pad from a french oem manufacturer I first bought from in bulk in 2013. Last of all is the white foam, it feels finer than the rupes white DA foam. Tip with blueberry/blue universals is don't use too much polish, those cells are so small that they can clog up quicker than pads with less cells per square inch. Oh yeah i almost forgot, sydni is the most gorgeous lady in the industry imho and just as talented on the tools. She needs to visit Australia sometime, ive been to her state twice now its her turn to visit mine with renny and the p amd s crew

I would be interested in that Rupes but only if my Mark 111 Dies. $900 is a lot even if your putting pads with it. All their Ibrid stuff will phase out the other corded machines!!
The current version of Opti Seal is a lot slicker than the previous. I'll be testing Ultra Ceramic Seal this winter. Last winter was Opti-Seal - which made it through!

I loved seeing the new Optimum product offerings; However- their product line sorely needs a better way to show us the benefits and best practices for what they carry. The teamwork between TRC and Yvan really brought OPT into the detailing "mainstream", and I humbly ask OPT to return to a similar media formula. *Dane, thanks for the rant at 01:26!
We normally record these in landscape, but RUclips did something strange on the backend where it defaulted to portrait, so when I turned the phone during setup and it briefly became portrait-oriented, which triggered RUclips to start the stream automatically and since I’d already shared the link several places, we couldn’t restart because the link would change. You can see at the beginning how surprised we were. Anyway, we made the most of the unfortunate situation and provided over 2 hours and 20 minutes of quality content (regardless of orientation) that we hope many people will enjoy. If this stream was not to your satisfaction, you may prefer the one we’ll do tomorrow that will be landscape style and go more in-depth at some of the booths with hands on tool demos.
Day 1 of SEMA was more of an overview. As you tune in for the rest of the week we will be doing more of a deeper dive into the products that these companies have to offer.

The new Optimum Hyper Compound (V5) is VERY nice. It does NOT mar the finish at all.
