- Looking for a screen locker for your laptop that's simple but still looks good? Is slock just too basic for you? I recently switched to using betterlockscreen, which is a screen locker powered by i3lock but actually looks pretty nice. In this video, I'll show you how to give your lock screen different effects like a blur or a dimming effect, how to make customizations, how to make your screen lock on suspend, and more.

Excellent content man. Keep going. Been following your guides to customize my arch setup.
Love the regained activity 🥳
I personally use i3lock-color with xss-lock for the lock on suspend and I quite like it, but not gonna lie, after this video, I really do consider switching to betterlockscreen
betterlockscreen is literally just i3lock-color with a wrapper script to make it look nicer, so if you like the look, give it a try
Looks cool, I will try it out! Thanks, you deserve more followers.
Appreciate it!
Congrats for 6.5k subscribers! Last time I checked you were at 2k.
Thanks! Now I just have to keep the uploads consistent
Thanks for the great content.
Could you please tell me what is your OS and your shell ? It looks nice.
Can you please introduce the terminal and the shell you use in this video?
Its insane and I want to use it.
Good tutorial, i try in fedora i3 and lxqt, auto lock not working for me,, 😢
I use xscreensaver, because an animated lockscreen is even cooler. I run the aerial screensaver, which is just aerial footage recorded for apple tv. Another reason I like xscreensaver is that its quite secure. Though the only downside is most of the screensavers are quite dated but still cool.
It's been ages since I used a screensaver, but that sounds interesting, I might have to check it out
Hello, nice video. How do I set to lock the screen, when the display turns off ??
I have another video on that here: ruclips.net/video/9wsiNubm5Qs/видео.html
@@EricMurphyxyz Tnx..
does it block tty access?
forced to use this because debian still not supported by swaylock-effects...
whats your current setup btw if you mind to share? distro, wm, etc.
