    Miss Barbie is an absolutely-lovely doll! I´m lucky to have one in my collection. Sometimes they refered to her like aliens Barbie? I guess she has an exceptional beauty. You made a great work!💜

      @@DoeDeerWonderland Oh wow!! I wish I had a doll like that 😍What a shame though. But, after "saving" some old Barbies in fleemarkets, I have a feeling the hair is not really a part of the play and tends to be in the way. It looks like the hair was tied in a ponytail and/or cut very soon after purchaise and never touched again 😅At least with modern Barbies; I have _never_ seen the older dolls anywhere in Finland. Ever.

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  2 года назад

      Right? Doll hair is always messed up at thrift stores. I can definitely relate, growing up in Romania/Italy the only dolls we got were generic 80s/90s Barbies..

    The box cutter worked great, I used a super fine nail file too, and thank you for the step about magic eraser gets rid of all dust. I used a small amount of alcohol but that must have been too much, her original lip started to fade. I penciled in her eyebrows as I'm not a barbie artist you did her face great. Next step is to build up her neck with some jeldwen Vinyl epoxy, and find the neck rubber band at the hard ware store. Do you know what size yours was called? I'm so inspired by your video thank you!

    Do you know what causes the melting from the wigs?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  2 года назад

      I think it's just because this plastic is... Well it's garbage ahaha. It warps in time and with the wigs being tight, it's a recipe for disaster

    I like her better with just the painted hair and no wigs. They look terrible! With the painted hair she has a very pretty and elegant kind of Audrey Hepburn vibe about her.

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  2 года назад +1

      Absolutely. If you leave it undiluted it's going to be clumpy and it will come off. Better to apply lots of thin, watered-down coats

    Why is the head melted? Was it to do with the eyes blinking mechanism?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  Год назад

      Nope, it’s just the type of plastic that was used, it has melted I assume because the wigs are quite snug on the head, and with the heat and time passing they keep slowly squeezing the head and leaving dents

    isnt there some other way to remove the glue from the top of her head ?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  Год назад +1

      It depends, you could use a product called goo-gone if it's actually glue.
      But most times it's the plastic from the head melting off, so in that case this is really the only way.
