Very interesting vid. I hope the building is saved. I didn't realize Wabash was the first city with electric. I thought that was Buffalo due to power created by Niagara Falls and Niagara River.

"Wabash was the first city in the world to adopt and successfully operate the Brush Electric Light System. The 1040 Honeywell Center is a National Register of Historic Places listed community center founded by Wabash philanthropist Mark C. Honeywell, co-founder of Honeywell, Inc., which began in Wabash."

I'll bet if you wanted to buy it and open a scrapyard or an auto salvage yard the town wouldn't let you. They want an art gallery, antique shop or a coffee shop

That's because it's on the historical list not as a commercial building.
There are many requirements and that's why it's so expensive to keep a historical building.

@@WVgrl59 But historically it was a scrap yard. See the irony? They want the property fixed up, but want someone to take it over and be selling something barely profitable.
They want a free show, not a business
I've seen this all over since the late 70's, the mentality is tear down that factory, and make a park with free ice cream, cake, and pony rides for everyone

More of the hot blond and not that guy waving the flashlight. He wouldn’t last 10 seconds home that flashlight from my dad.

200 billion plus to Ukraine. 450 billion plus a year on illegal immigration. 151 billion on payouts to illegal immigrants.
... one would think, that a representative government to its people that elected them. Would at the least, invest in its own country & citizenry first.

These old towns could be revitalized with airbnbs and things to do, plus Indiana needs to legalize cannabis.
Alcohol is far worse than cannabis cannabis and the taxes and local revenue made on it can recreate a state.
No one has Road rage, or beats their wife, or has a hangover so they can't go to work the next day after smoking cannabis... but it can happen when people drink too much alcohol.
