saw them live in NY, poogie, marcus and mr. brown back in 2002, now 20 years later this tune still sends shivers down my spine, it does not get any better

Marcus Miller is an excellent composer as well as bassist! He just works that bass like it's part of his core being.
Heard this on the radio a couple nights ago. I am floored at this interpretation of Lonnie's Lament. Serious $hit. Marcus is really good.

Love my boy Dean Brown. This guy is just an endearing soul. Met him at my brother's wedding. Very humble spirit about him. Like that in people.
This version really kicks ass and Marcus' solo is ABSOLUTE CLASS.
No one comes even close in my opinion...
