You referenced it Chris, but I so miss Roaster Coaster. My favourite beer of all time. Don't suppose Brewdog and Evil Twin will ever bring it back though
Don’t think this is one for me. What did catch my eye in Tesco however was the Vault City Gingerbread Latte imperial stout. I can see that working. Have you picked that one up by any chance?
Just drinking this watching your excellent review, this is different, like you say not to everyone’s taste, glad I only bought one to try, thanks Chris…
I like a sweet stout, I'll be picking this up. The thing is they've put ice cream stout on the label and therefore if you're expecting anything else then people shouldn't pick it up.......simple.
Oh the strawberry is certainly false, its all flavourings, but I do not think they hide that fact by calling it an Ice Cream Stout. So for me it delivered that ice cream vibe.
Black with small, beige head. Sweet notes of milk chocolate, pralines, lactose, vanilla, strawberries and marshmallows dominate the aroma and taste. Everything seems quite artificial and too sweet. Low carbonation, sweetness in the upper regions.
The way NM is constantly throwing out novelty beers makes me think they just make a couple of generic base brews & toss in a bunch of flavourings which will never make a good beer. Artificial flavourings take away all the artistry of beer production & just make them into beer alcopops. I think their target market is people that don't drink craft or ale who're buying it for people that do so all the effort goes into the can design, not the beer.

I agree it will not be back. If it did come back I am not sure it will be as good as it was.

I cannot get it, it is always sold out, but I will keep looking.

Thanks for watching, I am the same, one is enough but glad I tried it.

That is a very very fair point!
What a surprise Chris
I had you down for a no on this one
I felt the strawberry was too false & dominant taste

NM used to do a Neapolitan pale a few years ago, that was weird, prob works better here
Yeah they did and that was awful. Defo works in a stout.

Cheers 🍻
Mine was a drain pour, awful Stout 👎🏼
It is certainly one that will divide, cheers for watching though Gaz
More novelty slop from NM, not for me.
It is defo a novelty beer, I will not buy it again, and this is the problem for NM, so many of their beers are novelty that people will not buy again.
