If you speed this up (using the RUclips 'gearwheel' icon) to 1.5 speed, he's playing it at probably the original tempo (at least, it's composer Rube Bloom's tempo on his recordings, and Rube Bloom and Louis Hooper were well acquainted with each other thru the Joe Davis publishing house). It's actually a rather nice performance. Thanks for sharing this valuable footage of one of the legendary 1920s recording pianists! If you have any of him playing any other tunes, I'd love to see/hear it! (even just audio).
