Born in 1960 I got almost 100% on this quiz as I guess have many more of you did because it was easy, the cars were all memorable whereas the cars of today have nothing that makes any of them stand out from the rest, they all look basically the bloody same. So much for diversity.

Wow, I past my test in the early 70’ but never realised there were so many ugly cars around then. The second one at the beginning is horrendous. 🤣🤣

2 of your answers were very ambiguous. The Reliant Scimitar and the Middlebridge Scimitar would be virtually impossible to tell apart. The late model Reliant Scimitar the only difference is on the outside would be minor trim even the wolf race wheels were used on both. Secondly, the TR7 convertible masquerading as a TR8 again is very dubious. I cannot recall completely whether the TR8 was as a homogenised product from BL was ever produced for public sale, many TR7's were modified by tuning companies and its quite possible, given my memory that BL did produce a few TR8's. The car in the photo looks indistinguishable to any TR7 convertible that you would find in any showroom at the time. Other than that, good quiz but the last 2 left a bitter taste in my mouth.

The picture looks like the TR7 was an America model. Didn't they get V8s and were called TR8 not totally positive but something hints to this

@traceyj321: thanks for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it. Sorry to hear the quiz left a bit of a bitter taste in your mouth 😐so I hope to take that away by answering your questions!
Regarding the 2 points you noted:
      - Round 27 features an image of a '75 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE6. I do agree that the visual differences between the '75 Reliant Scimitar GTE and the '79 Middlebridge Scimitar are relatively subtle. But to name a few differences: the grille of the '79 Middlebridge Scimitar has fewer slats than the grill of the '75 Reliant Scimitar GTE 😉; and the '75 Reliant Scimitar GTE features chrome-plated steel bumpers while the '79 Middlebridge Scimitar model has modernized plastic bumpers which are body-colored or black.
      - Round 30: I also agree that the visual differences between the TR7 and TR8 are relatively subtle. However, the car in the image is a Triumph TR8. The TR8 spoiler in the image also house auxiliary lights (fog lights) which were not common on the TR7. The TR8 was definitely produced for public sale, though it was a relatively low-production model compared to the TR7, its predecessor.... The TR8 was introduced in 1978 and was produced until 1981.However, less TR8s were produced compared to the TR7 making it a much rarer car than the TR7. The majority of TR8s were built as convertibles, while only a few coupe versions were manufactured early in production. The US and Canada were the primary markets for the TR8. In fact, most TR8s were left-hand drive, and the car was largely aimed at North America, where V8 engines were popular and expected in sports cars. A small number of TR8s were sold in the UK and Europe, but these right-hand-drive examples are very rare.
If there’s anything else I can clear up or help with, just let me know-I’m happy to help! ❤️ Stay tuned for our next quiz!

@robertwillis4061: thanks for your comment! Yes, the TR8 was essentially a V8-powered version of the TR7. However, there are subtle differences that help distinguish the two. See my comment below ☺️ Stay tuned for our next quiz!
