Wow…what a great video!!! Very comprehensive and easy to follow. Well done!
Thanks Paul, appreciate that!
This video was so helpful! I thought I was going crazy when trying to figure out how to get the radio to show up when using maps on carplay but glad I’m not. Thanks for making this!
Haha glad the video helped you with that odd CarPlay and radio issue!
Excellent video! So thorough and complete!! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Thanks for making this video Steve. I’ll be sure to show it to my dad.
You're welcome! Hopefully he finds it easier to follow this time
Thanks for going over these features in detail. Im not a palisade owner but definitely a potential buyer and this helps narrowing down my seach especially when comparing to honda pilot, etc.
You're welcome! Haven't started reviewing Hondas yet, but they're on my list for this year
@Cars With Steve overall seems like you get a lot more tech with Hyundai than Honda. But of course honda does have a really good track record and everything will work for next 2 decades 🤣 and than again Hyundai with 100k warranty. Tough decisions 😕
So true. I had a friend have their Civic roll over 400,000km - only reason why they bought a new one is because of an accident where it was written off
Wired CarPlay? Com’on Hyundai!
Right?! They’re making wireless standard in some newer model year vehicles but it won’t be rolled out to existing owners unfortunately
i updated to July 2024 software and this Radio UI has completely changed, i liked this one, did it change for everyone ?
It'll have the new look if you did that software update.. and unfortunately there's no way to roll it back
Great video. Just wondering if you can set the map and radio split screen as a default so that every time you start the vehicle it would go to that screen instead of the generic home screen
Thanks Gary! There's no way to have it default to anything but the home screen yet. Would be a great option though
Yes it would!! Thanks for the reply
anytime!
Do you know if there is a way to upload a personal photo on the main screen?
I wish! Unfortunately not though.. Haven't come across a manufacturer yet that allows user uploaded backgrounds
does the navigation shows the current traffic status/condition? thank you
You'd have to opt for a SiriusXM subscription which would have Traffic and Travel Link to show that
Having trouble turning on carplay settings. I do not have a iPhone but my magic box only works with carplay. Any way to get this to work without a iphone?
It needs a phone connection so you'd need to have an iphone or android phone for it to work
Is the Android Auto full screen going to be available soon?
Not that I know of
is there any way to get more than 2 driver profiles?
There are technically 3 profiles.. User 1, User 2 and Guest but there's no way to add additional profiles
Does this method include 2023 model cars?
Yes it includes 2023 models - Hyundai vehicles will either have a smaller 8" screen or a larger one like in this video. This larger one is wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while the 8" is wireless
nice video how do we get directions from locations on our contact list
You'd need to be hooked up over Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.. if the address is saved you should be able to trigger a "navigate to person's house" voice command. The car won't be able to pull addresses otherwise
My friend my car is palsade I want to change the korean map to medl est map how can i lowde it thank you my friend
Check out these map download options from Hyundai: carswithsteve.com/Hyundai-Middle-East
Is the big screen available on XRT?
This 12.3" screen is standard in the Palisade across the entire vehicle lineup for 2023
I connected Bluetooth without using CarPlay. Do I have to disconnect Bluetooth and do it again this way?
You can connect to bluetooth no problem but CarPlay and Android Auto need to be plugged in via USB for this screen
@@CarsWithSteve This means that he does not have to buy a screen projector. This feature is already present in the screen
@@CarsWithSteveThank you for this help. Have a nice day 🙏🏻❤
You got it, just need to plug in to USB to use it! If you find they aren't working, you might need a new USB cable that supports data transfer. Cheers!
I tried Android Auto plugged on my Palisades and the audio quality is not very good. Bluetooth audio sounds much better, so I just use Bluetooth audio. What a shame.
Hmm that's odd. Usually USB is better than bluetooth audio. Have you tried playing audio through USB not through Android Auto? Selecting your phone as an audio source instead...
On aimerait vraiment avoir les explications en français
Seriez-vous d'accord avec la langue de l'écran en anglais avec une explication en français ?
Could you move your hand faster, I can almost follow you.
Yes I could
From Australia here, so in order to connect wired to Android auto or Apple car play, first I have to connect to Bluetooth? Can someone confirm PLEASE? Thanks in advance....
If your screen is this larger one and you have to connect via USB there's no need to connect to bluetooth first. Just connect via USB and you're set to go!
If yours is the smaller screen without factory navigation, that only supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so you would need to connect via bluetooth and then the prompt would show up to connect to AA or CP
@@CarsWithSteve Yes, my screen is larger, but it won't connect still. Have tried 3 different cables and nothing...I wonder if my Pali needs a software update ???
@@K-SD-DAD if you're trying to connect an Android... double check that Android Auto is installed on your phone and it's up to date.
Other thing that tends to work is replacing the USB cable with an OEM original.. So get an Apple branded for iPhone etc
Or try another USB port
