Let's be real, the duck was probably intended for a kid to use when their parents let them use the ipod and a kid wouldn't read the manual either, if anything he made the review more accurate to how it's intended audience would do, and it doesn't work for that audience sense the volume control buttons are barely visible

You can actually see a (+) and (-) signs on the top of the unit for the volume controls. They're very hard to see, so I don't blame you for missing them. But yeah, that's why they were acting up- because you weren't actually touching the volume controls.
