Another very helpful video! Thank you for your generosity in sharing all of this pooper scooper info!!
You are very welcome!
Maybe I just haven’t had the patience to sit through it but this is the best explanation of how to figure out what you need to charge that I’ve ever heard. Most folks stop at “you need to know your numbers” which is what’s you said, just way more in depth lol. This was really good
Thanks! I noticed the same thing, I tried doing some research on videos to see what was out there and it was all extremely surface level.
Im looking to start my pooper scooper buisness and you are so helpful
Thank you! I’m happy to help.
Thanks for explaining Man hours!!! It's one of the few concepts that gets hard to wrap your head around once you start growing past your one person business :)
Agreed. I’ll make another video explaining that, but once you have the basic concept down adding employees to the mix Isn’t it is confusing as it seems. It’s just a lot more expensive.
@@KroopinsPoopinScoopin I remember you saying something about how for every $10k you pay an employee, you need $15k in income for all the costs with having an employee
@@PoopScoopsForNoobs I can’t remember exact numbers, but I was told if you pay somebody $30,000 a year you as an employer pay between 40,000 - $45,000 a year for that employee.
They’re wildly expensive, but with the right employee it’s an investment
This was fantastic info. No one goes into depth this much. Thank you for sharing the breakdown especially!
Thank you, and I wanted to do as deep of a dive as I possibly could with it not becoming chaotic.
@@KroopinsPoopinScoopin you succeeded! Lol
Fantastic information! THANK YOU for taking the time to help others. Great video for sure! ❤
Thank You for taking the time and watching
This was good stuff! Don't hesitate to flex some 'power point muscle' and throw some figures or tables on the screen while you talk--might help those of us who are more visual learners but this was pretty crystal clear. I appreciate your candor and transparency to help others learn! As someone else said, tell us more about the answering service--how that's working for you, what your customers think, etc.? We have a few small businesses we run and honestly I almost ignore the phone anyways, shoot them a text, and see if they book!
You are right, I definitely should’ve added some visuals. I will definitely keep that in mind for my next video when I talk about numbers. More preparation will need to go onto that video, but I know I can make it happen.
I will make another video specifically talking about the phone answering thing. I have a short video about it. I will include a link down below. This is a really short explanation video, but I will make a more detailed video about it and from questions that you guys have.

Dang almost 2k subs. Keep it up great video.
Right! So close
makes sense thank you
Nice!
How's it going? Been watching. You're videos for a long time. Don't know why. I haven't before now. But I just subscribed.
Thanks for subbing! Hope you’ve been learning some stuff along the way :-)
Have you heard about grasshopper and how it compares with emitter?
I have, but never tried it.
What phone answering service are you using?
Here is a short I made a little while back. Drop some questions in the comments and I will make another video going more into detail about this service.

omg $50 a month for a phone? Where do ppl find these cheap phone plans? Do you like your service?
/has stupid verizon bills
Thank you so much for all you do, Erica.
Cricket.
Sorry, RUclips doesn’t always notify me when I have comments. I have T-Mobile and they are way cheaper than Verizon. I can’t say that I absolutely love my service, but it’s not terrible.
There are some local companies near me that use a deodorizer on the lawn? Do you offer that, if so is it included & what product do you use?
Hey there, I don’t deodorize the yards as of right now. I have a product called wisiwash but I haven’t actually fully launched because we’ve been pretty busy with just scoops. Having said that, sanitizing is an excellent add-on service and I highly recommend it if you can work it into your schedule.
Where did you get your website ?

Looking to do 12,500 per month net!
That’s a nice number 💰
I live in the county and the cities around don't require a business license unless I'm located in the city. The county only requires one if I'm selling products so no license fees for Doggie Doo lol
I’m referring to your DBA or your LLC. The way that your business is structured for tax purposes.
@@KroopinsPoopinScoopin well in that case I do have those fee's lol. Do you have a way I can directly contact you for a few other questions I have.

Hey Erica,
How many employees and customers are you at now? Have a good day!
Right now it’s me and one other scooper.
I’m toggling between 150 customers and 160.
I recently made some change to pricing and not taking the poo, these changes did result in dropping customers, but the changes were beneficial to the biz.
@@KroopinsPoopinScoopin glad to hear it! You have to do what’s best for you and your business. Congratulations on your success
I haven't started my business yet, but I would Luke to bring home 1,250 a week after a while.
Super doable
