mbot2 with robotic arm

  • In this video the Makeblock’s mbot2 robot is using a robotic arm to carry a ball. The arm is from Smart World add-on for mBot2 robot, which is made by Makeblock.
    The robotic arm is rather heavy, that’s why the robot has two steel balls as front wheels. This combination makes robot’s moving and turning different from the basic mbot2. I had to reduce the speed a lot and make new blocks for turning, where I used the gyro-sensor of mbot2.
    I didn’t use the ultrasonic sensor this time. The robot’s path is totally made by timing the movements and using the gyroscope in turns. All the values depend on the floor material, the more slippery it is, the more difficult it is to find correct values.
