Congratulations on the 2M subs! Was about time! Feels like yesterday that I stumbled across your Stardew Valley content in late 2016. I think the most insane part about the journey was the switch from doing only 1 game, which can eventually run out of content and have other downsides like losing interest, into doing all kinds of games. You are a big inspiration for me in regards to RUclips, that's some really sick stuff you managed to pull off

Ive never played most of these and it’s still absolutely infuriating
4 minutes in and DF still hasn't noticed the extra energy gem only chews up item slots 2 away that are adjacent, so if in the bottom right corner, only 2 slots - one 2 to the left and 2 to the top, no diagonals and spaces 1 away in all directions can be filled with items.
The most fun I've had is the legendary pavisse that activates all shields attached to it, with the coral relic that makes shields do +2 spikes on activation. As spikes don't disappear between rounds you very quickly can have an inventory of spiked shields and hundreds of spike damage stacking each turn. Not a true pacifist build - you need weapons to hurt the Ohms that ignore spikes. Still hecka fun for Endless.
Dunno why but youtubers TRIGGER the blood out of me when they zoom past stuff like that (he did hover for a moment over the red thingy or some item two blocks away from it and it was clear that diagonals are not affected as nothing there highlighted)
It makes me wanna find them, grab them by the collar and aggressively point at a screen demanding explanations :'))

@@SuperMichael996 it's probably a time thing. Splattercatgaming who also does daily games only spends a few hours max on a game in general with a 30ish minute video. It's part of their income stream as opposed to just fun and games in spare time, so probably just less getting into the nitty gritty of descriptions. But as DF plays some games repeatedly you'd hope he figure things out more. Still, I watch his games every day and am 2 months into an Idle Slayer game (Ultra Ascended for the first time this week, the catch up to previously development has been rapid) and his miss the obvious whilst believing he is killing it approach is very watchable.
Still, DFs rare sword that slaps only keeps slapping if he gets hurt again. It's why it's rare not legendary.
@@auretioustaak6579 I can't stand splattercatgaming. his content is good and all but he lacks the cherisma to hide the fact he's just treating his channel like a job. He SAYS he likes x game or y game but it's always clear he's just going through the motions.
cursed blade with cursed whetstone is a dream come true for many, it can do up to 500 per shot. If that does interest you, here's the strategy, you don't get any shield but instead focus on the seasoning and items like the water bottle which can heal u for 30 health i beleive. And u mostly get slows or curse of honey(best curse to get) and after a while, u can take up minimal space and do loads of damage. Although creatures with spikes are going to be the bane of ur existence if u go with this build.
Why spikes? I think spikes are just bad for every build that isn't a tank which is a rly bad build for lategame the worst classes for spikes are cleavers and arrows because your hitting them so much
@@leojordan6221 no, as in the enemy having spikes. Since this build is the best definition of a glass cannon, spike will be the one thing that bites back even if u kill the enemy in one shot

The red gem doesn’t take a ring two spaces away, only spaces exactly two away
man it drove me crazy because he would talk about getting rid of it when it was fairly easy to keep
The most painful moment was when he got curse and didn't notice that it still produced energy.

PAIN
That sword kept getting locked because you can only is it one per fight but it is reactivated if you take damage. Since the enemies weren't damaging you those turns it couldn't unlock. It's great to pair with the accessory that deals 1 damage to you every turn to guarantee you can use the sword again.
DF... The red gem doesn't block in a circle. Only adjacent so if you put it right on the middle it's 4 spots that are blocked and in a corner it's only 2
I don’t see anyone mentioning this but I’m glad the video isn’t stretched anymore. It’s not fun to watch a game stretched out when it wasn’t really meant to be
Note that crimson energy only cares about things exactly two spaces from it and only in straight lines meaning at most it steals 2 other spaces (you usually have it in a corner)
hey DF, a little tip about how to nearly sleep walk through the game.
you should just stack a stupid amount of spike helmet (the blue spikey helmets) at the top of your inventory so that they give you increasing spikes/thorns that deal more and more damage to the attacker each time they attack your shield or health.
Also might wanna try the wooden bat looking weapon that kinda looks like a stalactite, because it deals weakness to the enemy, which lowers their damage that they deal to you.

I played this awesome game a lot because of you and let me tell you that stacking haste is op as hell and only get's countered by poison(poison counters everything though) so that's what you should get on your shield at the blacksmith also grab archangel armor if you see it
I remember running this but with rage stacking as well. I was having fun with bosses who spawns monsters because they just stack my haste and rage per kill.
Poison doesnt counter everything. If u go for a one shot build like cleavers u dont have to worry about that. I had a cleaver build with 2,5k dmg per turn but thorns is the hard counter here
also the red energy thing takes up way less spaces then yo thought. it just cares about 2 spaces away directly up, down, left and right. so here: (x= can't put items here) (E=Energy Item) (o=items ok to go here)

the ZZ is sleep or if you aren't sure on what the enemy is doing hover your mouse over plus if you're not sure on how and item specifically works move stuff around and then hover over the item it should either highlight an item if in the way or what boosts it.
Found this game because of you, great game, I’ve beat it a few times now, Archer build and a full spikes build it so fun

This is a nice game! I found the Metallic Wand and haste armor to be very effective.

You HAVE to play archer you can like one shot people also PLEASE read the descriptions some guys run after everyone else dies, also the stuff like the crimson thing only applies for the CARDINAL DIRECTIONS
Thorns is OP. I had several roses and helm that gave thorns, and I would just shield up, do a little damage, and they would chunk themselves on it. Also the wands that do damage don't take energy points to use, they just run out of mana per fight, so you can get a good 2-6 hits in if you have multiple gems and a wand,, before you even use an energy point.
I have a question, is there a tutorial on how the f ing barbel works cause I did the same as df did but my weapon is still disabled?

It's actually referring to the weapon not the barbel you need to not have any adjacent item in your weapon
Just played this game, beat it first go with a pickaxe build, also didn’t use any shields or armor lol.
DF not using the Citrine gem and the Crimson gem right killed my soul. The Crimson Gem can still be annoying, but not as annoying as he made it for himself
I made it to Floor 34!
Red Hoodie to scale HP.
Charming Bracelet to remove curses.
Hercule Shield with haste on it twice, surrounded by 4 shields. Works better than Angel armor because I block multiple times per turn.
Cleansing Rag to stop poison from stacking up too high.
Regenerative Whetstone for healing that only takes up one slot.
Berserker's Club with rage. Haste boosts my blocking to the 999 max, giving me a LOT of attacks each turn, each of which boost my damage in the next turn.
I'm currently only challenged by the snakes that set you on fire, and the boss that gains spikes each time you hit him.

If your having problems scaling armor, put haste on your shield, it makes all armor gain 1 more block every time you use shield
Those scaling items can be so good if you're lucky! I feel like the items that lock your pack out of certain things aren't a great choice, but I've never played this game, so maybe I don't know the value of them. 😂
Find the Soldier's Shield or Mirror Shield (which suits you better)
and after you defeat the first boss on floor 3, get the Coral relic;
Don't enter the enchanted floor (where you need keys to get in) because you can't find the Forge NPC;
If you find it, there's a chances that it's able to Forge your shield, get the +1 HASTE instead of the +4 BLOCK;
Here's the fun part, you can just SHIELD your way into ENDLESS and kill the final boss easily;
Your Block count can even reach 999+? (My best block count was 750+ with 200+ HP, and +300 spike buff)
And it got feck by the Enchanted Floor Boss (Floor 15) because the boss just never hit you back;
And you'll die if you ever tries to even hit that fecker

I cook gortons fishsticks in the oven than take them with me to Supermarket and sneakly place 1 with note on it by the Cashier and watch them from distance. The note say DO NOT GET AN ABORTIN!!!
Theres a difference between diagonals and adjacents in this game. When that item says "When an item 2 away is present gives no energy" what it actually means is that if there is an item exactly 2 blocks away either vertically or horizontally you dont get the energy. So if you put it in the corner you will only need to leave 2 spots open for that effect to take place. You can have the spot literally right next to it filled, just not the second space away, and diagonals don't count. That item is insane if you get it since it's so much for so little of the board wasted
the letter very much works with the barbell if you let it move up past the sword so its not adjacent anymore.

I have only played this game for a little while. 😅
But I can say FOR A FACT that letter is the best damage staking item in the game!
1st. With spear you get a damage boost of 18... yes 18! At max of course.
2nd. That basically makes it better than a dumbbell since you will only need 4 slots open for the 18-damage boost.
3rd. It's an uncommon but that still mean you have a better chance to get it than a dumbbell from the boss.
I had a build that was a mace with about 19 damage next to a shield, i also had an item that made it so when I block all weapons next to the shield are used, so my mace that costs 2 energy only cost 1 to use allowing me to use it for double the amount of times, I also had multiple things giving me extra energy naturally and I had a bunch of really well placed spiked helmets and boots.
Basically, my thorns kept stacking and stacking and stacking until i was doing about 100 damage to them naturally each time they hit me, combined with doing about 20-30 damage each time I blocked which also resulted in my blocking going up a lot. Very good combo of items that run.
Unfortunately, the item that made blocking use weapons had the debuff that each time those weapons are used they lower in damage by 1 (The damage amount goes back to normal after winning the fight) so naturally it's not all that strong but that's where my thorns came in so handy.
Insanely fun run, and definitely a strategy that took me decently far
Skipping the ore was a huge mistake, it boosts your gemstones. Citrine can be rotated to point at the weapon. Question marks mean you're going to get a curse. Moving your helmet gave you a little bit more armour but took away your spikes. ;-;

the pickaxe weapon is actually so broken it's insane. Aso theres an artifact that makes all adjacent weapons fire when a sheild is used, which is actually insane since strategies are thrown out the window

Luck rings are op. Try to stack 4 of them. If you have 0, you'll run trash for the whole run.

hey DF really love this game and i stated playing it, I found a build where with a legendary shield that uses any adjacent shield for one energy and a relic that uses any weapon adjacent to a shield when the shield is used you could block for one energy using the legendary shield and it would give you upwards of 60 block and can attack for up to 40. Hope you see this
DF reading "Can Only Be Used Once Per Combat" as "Once Per Turn" really screwed his build.

Tank builds don't work past the first few floors. As soon as things start doing debuff and curses it is time to chuck the armor for more damage boosting
They didnt disable the Weapon it has a 1 Turn usage until ur struck by an enemy so aslong as they dont strike u directly with an atk u wont be able to atk next turn at all
Dude the sale on duct tape was nice
if you get the staff for summoning arrows the 500% damage bomb relic and the 200% damage hourglass relic which gives - 1 damage on a weapon after attacking you do 3x 125 damage without any other buffs but its requires 1 mana for every arrow and also at least 1 stamina item late game so you can do ~1500 damage every turn

Decided to play this game and I broke it with 2 spices, a club, and magic ring that uses mana to increase damage for the entire combat
with patience, and my insane armor, I do over 200 per attack
found the smith twice so I have a shield that gives +15 armor for 1 energy
with thorns
DF, If you push M at the start menu you can choose a different starting gear and not have to do the tutorial point.

Btw df bows are easily the strongest if you can get a good set up i was able to glass cannon my way through with only weapons and no armor with just a longbow and 4 arrows
Nah pickaxe godtier you get soon many +4 gems and vampirism which only work on diagonals so you can place the any position the +4s can't hit and even pearls which give +4 to things 2 spaces away and on top of that the purple one that gives +2 in row which goes anywhere else
