My husband and I are like you two regarding Christmas movies. He loves the Hallmark and ANY Christmas movies and I can watch some (rarely) but NOT the Hallmark movies. They are just tooooooo much. :)
I am totally agreeing with Manny on this one. I decorate my place from ceiling to floor, and I prefer, today, to do myself. I ask for help to get totes out for me, but that’s it, I LOVE decorating and therefore hosting Christmas parties to include everyone in my happiness, AND I live in Michigan! SNOW! This year we may get a white Christmas where last year, to warm 😢
An idea would be to still do your scheduled traditional family Christmas tour and do Christmas with Rosie at your home before or after Christmas. Best of both worlds. Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎁💖
Same!!! My one & only Grandson always says “ No Ty MiMi, I don’t need anything,” which makes me want to give more!!! lol We use to play for hours at Toys R Us, and I would beg him to let me buy him “something” before we leave the store, lol 😂 On the end “I WIN!!!” And his SMILE is priceless!!!✌️💕🤗🙏🏼
My kids are 17 and 14 and I’ve never admitted anything. Santa is real and when you stop believing you stop getting his gift (we do one unwrapped present from Santa). My son changed what he wanted from Santa this year…I told him he had to write a letter to Santa to explain (he’s the 17 yo). “Are you serious?” I said “how else is supposed to know?” But he wrote it! lol
I LOVE this. That’s the way I handle it too. Don’t stop believing. It’s about magic and what if. There might just be a parallel universe next to us where all magic is the life force. Plus did you see the movie “Red One” yet? It could happen. Plus I would love to have a talking armored polar bear as my friend.
Here you go Ang and Manny, Santa wrote us notes every year, thanking my brother and I for being good kids for the year and the delicious cookies and milk. I was about 8-10 and realized the handwriting looked like me mom’s. Without my younger brother being around I asked my mom. She admitted to it but said the spirit of Santa existed in us all. She didn’t need to say more. I never wrecked for my younger brother and even into my adult years, my step kids knew I believed in Santa and the spirit was in me, and them in turn. My youngest stepson was so super cute about it. Waking me up on Christmas with wakie wakie Ms Kerry, Santa’s been here as a 10-11 year old. I had certain Christmas decor I put up every year, that was my favorite, and they wholeheartedly asked if they could help with decorating with those. The spirit lives on in me as a 52 year old today!! ❤
My idea of Christmas movies are true crimes that happened near the holidays. Crime-estry Christmas! Love the idea. My husband loves all Christmas movies, plus he cries. My new maditude is that at 50, I am still the only one in the family that likes to decorate, plan, cook everything. I just want my family to enjoy helping with all this stuff. So I have started getting lazy, not going to do it anymore if no one else helps. Bear tree this year. I don’t find it joyful to be the only one doing all the work anymore.
Anjelah, I also was traumatized when I found out Santa wasn’t real, and I was really really mad at my parents (for lying to me) so I thought long and hard about how I wanted to handle it with my children. I decided that all the gifts under the tree and the stockings were from Santa but I never played it up with cookies and milk or footprints in the snow. Most importantly, I didn’t lie to them when they asked if Santa was real. That was my compromise, for what it is worth.
No classic Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful life or Christmas Carol or White Christmas? I'm with you Anjelah, I find the Hallmark movies mushy. Boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they fall in love and live happily ever after! Yuck! Lol
Once our kids friends started telling them Santa was not real, we told them that they needed to believe in Santa or Santa would not come. So we kept it going for a little longer.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has a Christmas movie you might like. Jingle All the Way. There’s some breaking and entering and violence although no murder if I remember right. I think there is a bomb though. It’s been several years since I saw it.
We celebrated Santa as the santa clown. We did all the traditions but my daughter new it was all make believe. I hated that my parents had lied to me about Santa and didn't want my daughter to be mad at me as well.
Ughhhhhh Christmas movies😩😩😩😩 Girl goes back to hometown to escape a fiancé she doesn’t love. Girl runs into old high school flame who is now a handy-man and loved by all. Girl wants nothing to do with men and does NOT want to rekindle that flame. Boy has never gone past their relationship. The old courthouse is about to be destroyed to make way for a downtown parking lot. Girl starts a petition to keep it from happening. Girl and boy haphazardly join forces to keep this from happening…BLA BLA BLA…you know the rest. THEY ARE ALLLLLL JUST ALIKE. Wear me smooth out😩😩😩😩😩
You hit the jackpot of husbands. He is so real and so kind. Wish there were more like him out there.
Love you, sweet family❣❣❣
Merry Christmas, Reyes Family!!
That is a good movie. Heidelberg Christmas. I think that’s the name.
Angelah, this is for you: The Santa Heist….😂😂😂😂😂
My maditude is how our boss hijacked our secret Santa gift exchange at work and lowered the spending limit, lol!
Can't wait to listen and converse with my Sister-in-Christ Anjelah.
Bless YOUR heart!
