I originally restored this song back in 2021 when I was just starting out making restorations, and in the time since then I feel like my restoration skills have improved by a lot. So, I've decided to re-do this restoration from scratch to hopefully bring it up to a standard that I'm happy with (and also to fix a number of mistakes that were in the last one). Here's an overview of what's changed since the last version: - Upped the amount of reverb, since I felt the last version was too dry. - More accurately re-created the original song's fake stereo effect on the choir. - Fixed the panning on the percussion so that it matches the original song. - Fixed most of the percussion being at the wrong pitch. - Fixed the wrong udu sample being used (I originally used the Roland SC-88 udu, the correct sample was from Spectrasonics Supreme Beats). - Made the song loop more cleanly. Old version can be found here, for reference: ruclips.net/video/18oLvkCM7S0/видео.html
Right! Less is more! The music creators of Mario Kart 64 understood music. My favorite is just the menu music for this game. So simple, yet it just sounds natural. That's what good music is.
This one still feels menacing and powerful, even today. Younger me remembers feeling threatened and lurked on while racing in that ominous and terrifying castle. I love this game. Nintendo did it so well.
It's a shame we didn't get the track in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC😢, one of the best Bowser Castle tracks in existence is also pretty realistic with the track layout & soundtrack
@@GamEntertainHello yes, that's true, Wii/GCN were also very good, Bowser Castle, especially the music, but I don't know why I somehow like the N64 version better, the course is simply fantastic, it never gets boring and the music fits so well because it's really realistic because you drive through a Bowser Castle strange that it didn't make it as a track in Mario Kart Tour Very underestimated track, I wish it would come back in Mario Kart 10/Ultimate with HD graphics and that the music is really sickly remixed and doesn't lose the old flair
Okay that's creepy, I was only listening to the 2021 version last night and now this comes out... 👀 Amazing job as always, sounds incredibly faithful! 🙂
Somewhere, in an alternate universe, there is an RPG Mario game that takes a more serious approach than anything we have seen before, then at some point, there is a battle against an enemy representing the essence of wrath, who possesses Bowser, and when you enter the battle, this theme plays out. Mario and his party must save Bowser from being eternally consumed...
I worked for the choir of Koopas (I'm a Koopa myself lol) and he did a nice job remastering it using the original tapes (We had a thingy that would mix the tapes in... can't remember what they are called now lol)
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique RUclips video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 3148.

Not only my favorite Bowser's Castle in the entire Mario franchise but my favorite track in the Mario Kart series.

Mi niño interior está llorando. Que buen trabajo. ¿Dónde has conseguido los iconos de los circuitos en buena calidad? 💙
Los íconos están tomados de la Mario Kart 64 Official Player's Guide: archive.org/details/MarioKart64OfficialPlayersGuide/
Hey, I know this is unrelated, but what happened to all of the Pokemon restoration videos? Did they get taken down for copyright claims?
See my Community page for details.
@@CloouMusic Thank you, totally understandable now having read that!
The choir sound comes from Digidesign Samplecell II I think.
digidesign samplecell ii cd-rom library #1, roland sound canvas sc-88, and spectrasonics supreme beats
Esta Carrera No Esta En El Pase De Pistas Extras Pero En Mario Kart 9 Sí
Nice ❤
0:00 The beginning of this music sounded like a scary savage Jungle music of Africa!
