Thanks! I agree, but unfortunately this is quite difficult because of the "missing frame". There is no way to lower the body, because it is mounted to the plastic "frame parts" (fenders etc.). So only smaller tires would not help.
I just ordered mine and I hoped you would cover this. I figure it needs that special little ESC use to get the control and quieter operation. I wish it was easier to buy them in America.
It is quite hard to disassemble... because of the "non-frame". Not easy mods... but lights and all body details are cool. Guess it would be better with plastic instead of metal body. We have to buy this stuff in China, too. But meanwhile shipping is fast (2 weeks) and no custom problems. Unfortunately Banggood seems to have raised the price quite a bit (at least for EU), from 60 € when I had ordered it to 75 € now :-(
Hi mr donaldsneffe, I've bought one after seeing your video. May i have some question? Can i upgrade to stronger motor as i see this boy is quite slow and may i know the protocol for this car transmitter? I can't find any documents say about it. Thank you
This will be quite hard. If you find a stronger motor of the exactly same size, of course you can upgrade (however: in some people's trucks the ESC broke, even with stock motor, so I am not sure if a stronger motor will work). This is more toy than hobby grade, so will be a lot of work and tinkering.
Nur so, is ja schon ne weile her. Was würdest du empfehlen?
RGT v2 Defender, 100x. Or even better, Hobbyplus CR-24 Defender (also sold as Uruav). RGT v2 does have the heavy large 050 motor (Barrage motor size) high up in front, the CR24 has a small 030 motor in center position (can be upgraded even for "torque" 030 Hobby Plus). Hobby Plus CR24 has beadlockwheels, which can easily be tuned with weights and foams. CR24 is a better crawler than RGT v2. Both are only 1s... that is the downside.
@@robest334 I like the CR-24s, but RGT 1/24 (FTX, Element Enduro 1/24) is ok, too. Check also the SG-1801, sometimes only 50 € or less on promotion, bang for the buck (beadlock wheels, etc. - I made a video), but ugly body and a bit (not much) larger.
Very thorough, helpful and enjoyable video review. Thank you for doing this!
Great details on a mini RC!
Those are really cool so many details
Cool rc
Great looking land rover model. Very good review. It would be nice to make it more scale with smaller wheels etc. 👍

@@donaldsneffe i have put stoppers inside the shocks to lower it by approx 2-3 cm, it looks much mo re "scale now

Hold steering left for 5 seconds you get hazards hold right you get fog lights
Is this safe for beginners because of the lipo battery and cheap charger?
Yes, it is more toyish than Hobbygrade.
