  • Original Title Medieval Harp Troubadour by Holger Schäfer - @zwirbert
This is the first song I played by ear and improvised when I was 3 weeks into harp, played on a 2-lever 27-string. There were only triads because that was the only thing I knew at the time, which was also more or less what Schäfer did himself. Playing this again today, I tried a few other variations, but ultimately came back to this triad simplicity, which brings about the best medieval flair.

I can hear a Dusty Strings harp just about 90 percent of the time. They have a distinctive ring. I own an expensive Lyon & Healy…….it doesn’t ring like the Dusty does…..sadly.

Thank you. Yes, it is beautiful. I've not heard a Lyon and Healy in person, but it appears to be much more popular and pricier than Dusty Strings. I'm sure it has its own beautiful distinct tone too. 😊
