  • In Part 1 of our interview with Rebecca Adams, a sociology professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, she discussed her summer course on Deadhead Subculture, and why she decided to teach it. This time we'll find out how her students used what they learned in class to study deadheads in the field, and what they discovered while they were on the 1989 Grateful Dead Summer Tour.

    From 1980 to the end in 1995 I missed maybe 6 or 7 shows in Chicago and at Alpine Valley. The only "rule" that I know of was "be kind to each other and the surrounding area".
