Dreams We Dreamed
Добавлен 15 янв 2023
Welcome to Dreams We Dreamed, where we are re-releasing our TV show Dead Head TV.
To be clear, Dead Head TV is not about bootleg concert footage of the band. It’s about the deadheads themselves, and the fascinating scene they create as they followed the band on tour around the country. Dead Head TV and Dreams We Dreamed are in no way affiliated with the Grateful Dead or Rhino Entertainment.
The original Dead Head TV was a half hour, monthly news-magazine show, with 3 to 5 segments. Besides the Tour Report, regular segments were Venue Reports, Deadhead Profiles, Show Reviews, Interviews with key members of the Grateful Dead family, San Francisco musicians and artists, educational Features, and The Dead News. For this Dead Head TV re-release, we have collected the segments individually for those who have a particular interest in one subject rather than an entire program.
Please check back many more to come!

Moscoso's poster work includes album covers for musicians such as Jerry Garcia's "Compliments" and "Run for the Roses", Bob Weir's "Bobby and the Midnights" and the Steve Miller Band's "Children of the Future"

Dead Head TV Episode 015 August 1989 Credits
I would like to get ahold of Tony brown. My name is Jerry kresge My brother, Tom kresge was in your magazine and a collage for the 10th anniversary? And I would really like to get a copy of that. He passed away a few years ago and it's all I would really like to get if you could contact me, thank you.
My fav was Hunter liked to be in the audience for shows he attended. One time during Cumberland Blues a deadhead turned to him and said," could you imagibe thebguy who wrote this song 100 years ago? Hear this sung tonight !@?
I am dutch, lived in Rotterdam and as a highschool kid, in the early 70s, used to take like ten albums a week home, from the discotheque. One of those albums was QSM's first. Had no idea. I was sold immediately. I was astounded by their version of 'Mona'. Cippolina's play was mesmerizing. I subsequently BOUGHT all their records! :)
IWT Nice that you have that footage and thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Ha ha...I remember working the Grateful Dead shows. They weren't trapped it the dirt parking lot, we had to kick the Deadheads out each night. The sounds of balloons being filled with nitrous and the smells of pot and patchouli drenched the air. To entice them to leave, we'd yell "Jerry said it's time to go" "Free tokes at the exit." It was fun, but those were the only shows that we had to kick people out of the parking lots.
We didn't make it up about the bottleneck.
PETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing to find this music video! I am the director, writer and producer of this project.
Thanks god for letting me see Brent many times
Nice work Toni 👍
Spencer always got the short end of the stick when critics would talk or write about the Airplane. He was the best drummer they ever had (Jorma Kaukonen has even said so), but he rarely gets mentioned when discussing the band. Maybe he was too unique for some people to handle. In any case, I always say that if you listen just to the Surrealistic Pillow album, you'll find every song has a different and unique drum part to it.
Totally amazing, Brent was the Deads best keyboardist.Loved Him and Jerry playing off eachother. missed
Typical
No. Hello from Patti Cornell
I stopped by his house once with a friend of his from high school, he was very gracious. Nice remembrance, thanks. RIP
Rest in peace Chip
John was a legend, i just love all that SF acid rock, thats my type of music, gday from melbourne everyone.
I was on tour that fall. Historic and amazing.
Very good film. I was there during those early days, and your narration is true. I could see the Haight as it was through your more recent photography. I bought the Love book ($3.00), went to hear Steven Gaskin at the Straight Theater, and danced at the Fillmore. Thanks for the memories❤
Twang twang geel dee
A lot of Brent's writing in "Built To Last" which is very underrated album. RIP.
We will be accused of being a 90s band in 2010. He knew right then that train wasn't stopping.
What about Copperhead . That was a great record .
you're absolutely right.
Love you Brent ❤❤
I will take You Home. I got a chill just writing this. His voice was second to none. He is missed. 🙏
Always be remembered ❤
Jerry loves Brent❤
Physically impossible for me to sit still to this one
Tory Slusher on has the whole feeling thing down on guitar.
A national Treasure , tks Robert
3:30 That guitar solo is so incredibly original it's hard to put into words. It sounds a lot like pedal steel. Brilliant.
Miss Brent!!
Me too!!
Love these reports brings me right back there, Thanks 🎉❤
Thanks Chris, glad you took the time machine back there. Tell your deadhead friends.
Chris keep checking back there's more videos to come!
@@dreamswedreamed will do, my tour days were the best you guys put me right back in the venues
6:57 in my brother Salvatore.
I missed Brent by some years but the magic I’ve always felt from him is incredible
Cherish this man
One of those moments that you will always remember where you were. I was at work for Pacific Bell in L.A. and my friend called an told me. Ripped my heart out. I thought that was the end of the Dead, given how much he was part of the music at that time. I was in a bagel joint in Chico, CA, when the radio said Jer had passed. Too much, too soon. We are lucky to have heard them play together. RIP brother.
Did that twice for 2 NYE shows!
Went to 100’s of shows. Never made to Frost. Never made a difference to me.
Some great shows there. At least they were recorded. Some venues, just weren't worth the hassle of going in person anymore.
I still think ''Without A Net" was a Brent masterpiece. As Barlow says, he's everywhere, not out front, but everywhere. When I listen to that double albums and listen to spring '90 shows, Brent is right up there in what makes that so spring so beautiful, bouncy and fresh. He is absolutely 50/50 responsible to the tight freshness of that period. Just when I saw my 1st shows. The live bounce and dance friendly cosmic jive Brent brought to shows was amazing and contagious.
I completely agree, I like when Barlow says Brent was a monster!
QSM lyrics still resound today 2024. "Those who put their faith in fire, then by their faith shall be betrayed. Oh, oh, Pride of man, broken in the dust again." Heard John in a little club in the hills above Santa Cruz one nite away from the concert series. Great jam.
@peterzabrinske they didn't write that, Hamilton Camp did .
A sleeping lady extravaganza.
Patticornell University
This is a beautiful tribute. I was lucky enough to have seen three amazing shows with him: Rich '89, Hamilton '90 second night, and Rich '90. Thank you, Brent ✌🏼♥️
