You should of went to a professional hairstylist/ barber. As a licensed hairstylist, if YOU are going to cut your own hair, you need a friend to cut the long hair with sharp scissors first, then proceed with electric clippers. If you cut your own hair all the time investing in a pair of professional barber clippers will cut through your thick hair instantly. The blades are much more sharp. Store(Walmart, Target etc) bought clipper blades in my opinion aren't sharp enough. If you go to your local beauty supply, you can buy the professional electric/cordless hair clippers behind the register. They keep them locked up because they're kind of expensive but worth it. 😊👍🏽👍🏽
