A pair of childhood best friends were brought to floods of happy tears when they finally reunited by surprise two and a half years after one family moved across the country. Adaleigh Milligan, 10, had been told by her mom they were heading to Florida to see her grandpa, when, really, they were taking a flight to Dallas, Texas, where her best friend Maliah Hahn now lives. Having landed, Adaleigh started noticing Dallas signs, and so, when things clicked, mom Kelli told her they were visiting Maliah and that everything had been one big secret. Wanting to then surprise her best friend, Adaleigh approached Maliah’s house and rang the doorbell. As the door opened, Maliah, 10, answered, and with both girls suddenly laying eyes on each other for the first time since the pandemic, they suddenly burst into tears of emotion.

@BeamTeam_4 she truly was. She loved me as me. In all my quirkiness and our differences. She was vibrant and funny. She came running over all excited to tell me she has seen a hummingbird for the first time. She was all excitedly like "it was here and there so fast. And then it was gone".... and then she died two days later unexpectedly. Every time I see a hummingbird, I think of her now. She was here.... and so beautiful and vibrant and always on the go, and then she was gone from our lives.
But even all these years later (I'm now 43) She's still on my mind every day. I still feel her warmth and love. And I miss her every day.

My childhood best friend showed up one day at my house and was the best surprise ever. We kept in touch for about 6 months then one morning I received a call from his wife. I then found out that he passed away and still to this day I dearly miss him. I Always mentioned to him that when we retire that we would go boating and enjoy fine cigars and talk about are younger days. Well that is a dream that will never happen.

I moved from Chicago to the south in June 2020. I reunited with both of my best friends in April 2021 but honestly, we just hugged each other and immediately played together as if I had never moved. I didn’t even notice much that my dad and sister left for the rest of their trip. (They were driving to buy my grandpa’s old car from my grandma and all but they dropped me off at home)

This actually made me cry because my best friend moved to the other side of the country 2.5 years ago and i dont know if i will ever see her again her parents are very strict so ive only called her once since the move i would pay anything to see her again even for one second she saved me i used to be the kid that sat in the corner and had no friends but she came over to be my friend and when she told me that she was moving i was so upset because i was looking forward to het coming to my birthday sleepover wich was the month after she moved and since she moved i cry myself to sleep every night i have made new friends and a new bestie but i still cant move on i spam her everyday and shes ony replied once because shes only been online once since she moved (that i know of) and again i would probably give my life just to see her again
